My husband and I went back to Falkner after poor service in 2018. Andy and Jordan were amazing! They provided fantastic customer service while describing the wine and answering our questions. I'm looking forward to joining their wine club and visiting them frequently. My wine preference is for single varietal reds that are super dry. I really enjoyed this winery because of the amazing outdoor patio where you can sit and relax and have an amazing view of the nearby wineries. There is a fake grass area with picnic tables as well where people brought their kids and dogs too. The wine itself is very tasty as well and one of the cheaper wineries out there - it was $10 for 4 tastings. April and Caroline- sweetie pies!!! Unlike the other winery my group and I visited, this one was by far the "hipster" winery. Way more crowded than the other winery. I felt like i was at a bar during happy hour. But what I did like was the view outside while we were tasting. So relaxing. My group and I took advantage of the view by taking numerous photos. I really didn't care too much for any of the wines, but the white and red sangria were so refreshing! I could sit there and drink that entire pitcher. It was definitely a "sneak up on you drink" because I was a little tipsy after a few tastings of just the sangria. The white, by far, was a hit for all of us. They provided the ingredients to make both the white and red wines at home. $10 for 4 tastings or $15 for 6 tastings. You pay first and they give you chips (poker-looking chips) to use to pick your tastings. If you "like" them on Facebook, they will give you an additional chip. You can do your tastings indoors or outside. Would I come back, maybe. Only because we had a limo and was limited on time and needed to check out other wineries. read more

3 stars because I was so disappointed with service this past trip. Every time I come to Temecula I make a stop here because I love their wine. Also the patio and view are so serene and relaxing. It was a Thursday and there were 3 ladies from what I saw working. They were busy tending to the customers they had at the time, but a simple "hi, we will be right with you in a few minutes.." would have been much appreciated. I felt so unwelcome that I told my boyfriend we should go somewhere else. Finally, after what was about 5-8 minutes, we were helped. Had one glass and left. The next winery we stopped at we were greeted by the ONE wine tender with a full bar and were helped right away. Communication goes a long way and it only takes two seconds to make someone feel welcomed and retain patience. Ultimately, I'll be back because I love the wine but I hope service is a little better next time. read more

If I could give this place 100 stars I would. This past weekend I proposed to my now fiancée here at Falkner Winery and Mrs. Falkner helped me put it together and she was soooooo accommodating! She set me up with a private table over looking the vineyard. Which I must say they have the best view hands down out of all the wineries in Temecula. The staff knew what was going on and they were so helpful. I can't say enough how grateful I am that they helped me out so much with this special moment. She also set up a horse and carriage ride for me. Best customer service by far I have ever experience. read more

Hi there, We were just there (4:30PM) and their website states that they're open til 5! We called SEVERAL TIMES ONCE WE GOT HERE!!! Gate closed and NO ONE ANSWERED phone. IF YOU ARE TRULY OPEN, someone should answer the phone. If not.... (and it's ok if you're not) just have that on your voice mail. I just drove from Orange County because you're one of my favorite wineries in Temecula. I've wasted 1/2 tank of gas for nothing. Makes me sad!! I get that it's a crazy time right now. We were here for lunch. The view from our window table was gorgeous. . It's situated high up on a hill. Just wish our server was not chewing something in the mouth when we're being served. Another server was walking around with a soiled white cleaning towel tucked behind at the waist. The servers greeting us near the front door were very welcoming though. Pork belly sandwich was passable and the lettuce with the chicken sandwich could be more fresh. So the first time I went to this winery, I had a blast. There was a Dj, the wine was awesome, and I went with a bunch of friends. I decided to get a wine membership. So I purchased my first 3 bottles. Now fast forward to the month when members pay their membership to pick up their wine. I hit a financial snag and called before the membership payment would go into affect and the rep told me I needed to complete this months payment (about $170 for 3 bottles) and then I can cancel after that. I said that was fine. Today I go to pick up my membership and it's no where to be found (even though I have my receipt) so I asked for the employee to go find out. Thankfully he comes back with my bottles and ask to get my membership tastings (since I did pay the membership) and he tells me that I need to pay full price to try anything.... He said or I can repurchase my membership to get my tastings. Needless to say, I left and I will not ever go back. I feel like they just took my money and didn't care about the members. read more

Made a reservation on open table for 230 I get a call from the winery stating that they stop at 2 o'clock for reservations if I could come in earlier I told them that I wasn't able to and all I got was the runaround and how they had to speak to the kitchen to make sure that they know that there's a 230 coming I would never recommend this place they should've overlooked the 30 freaking minutes and just said we'll see you when you get here but no poor poor customer service would not recommend this winery read more

If you are visiting Temecula, you must incorporate Falkner into your trip. The winery has some pretty views (maybe not the prettiest in comparison to the others) but it makes up for it with their wine selection. They have their famous Bordeaux Meritage red wine. Full bodied and exceptional! I always buy a bottle when I'm in town. Ask for the wine production tour, very informative. Best wine selection! read more

The professionalism, care, attentive & helpful spirit, personable service, attention to detail, everything was so spectacular-spectacular, from my first tour mid July 2017, to the culmination of our wedding on 03/17/18. Last stop before going home and so glad we stopped here. It was very relaxing sitting in their patio high up just looking at all the beauty around. Did two tasting which is 6 tasting each. You get to taste whichever wine you want. The wine was good and the service was great. They were closing early because of the super bowl. The only wine that I will remember from here was the one served hot. I thought it was spicy but it's actually served hot lol it's perfect for a cold day. We signed up for their wine club two years ago on our first visit. Our sommelier, Reggie was very knowledgeable and always treated us wonderfully. My favorite wines at Faulkner include their Cabernet, Amante, Lucious Lips (red), and their "hot toddy" wine they offer in the winter. This hot wine is similar to "ponche caliente" that is served during Christmas time in Mexico. I used to love Faulkner wine and ambiance before the fire. Never cared much for the adjacent restaurant. We were excited to see that they rebuilt the tasting room. Went there today and were initially impressed by the building. However, we were totally turned off by the guy behind the tasting bar. He was the most negative person that I've met in a long time. We walked in said hello, how are you doing? He said, take a look around, I'm here by myself and no help. He dropped the menu in front of us and turned around and walked away. Very rude! Beautiful winery. Came here twice. Once for my sisters bachelorette and again for my cousins. The servers are sweet. This will always be a stop if I'm ever wine tasting in the area :) Personally, I'm not a fan of their wines because they tend to be on the dry side. Everyone else in our party loved it. Faulkner Winery was our very first stop on our winery private bus tour which is the way to go if you want to do wine tasting. It is a small family owned winery that has a comfortable country style wooden wine tasting room. We had such a great time here. The wine glasses were ready to go with wine in them as soon as we got there. We then went on a winery tour of their facility and saw their wine barrels. Our tour guide was very informative and knowledgeable. When we went back to their wine tasting room we had assortment of cheeses, salami, crackers and fruit. We sampled a total of 6 wines and enjoyed all of the wines we tasted. Their patio deck view was absolutely beautiful. It's located near the top of the hill with an amazing view of the vineyards. We came here for some tasting on our recent visit. I did not get his name, but the Danish guy serving us, was very friendly & knowlegable. While my uncle & I did not taste, my aunt & mother enjoyed themselves. They had some great reds & port; I tried a little of my mother's port & it was some of the best. The guy serving us was great to talk to about all things wine & life in general, including our common love of Solvang. The facilities are very modern & upscale yet casual.
