The WORST. He took five days off in the middle of my bathrooms project after informing me of the need to take three days off. It hung my other subs up and offered no explanation for his extended absence. There are four points of contact in the bathroom and every single item(shower, toilet,sink and tub) component proved to be problematic. This is after an extensive consultation and detailed outline of the entire project. Every time he opened a box, he said "I didn't know you had a tub, shower head, faucet, toilet like this". I had to pay for retile and labor for incorrect drain placement and item returns. Every time something was done incorrectly, his response was "that can be fixed". All of which included stocking and shipping fees because of his incompetence. The upside to all of the $10,000 in additional cost we incurred because of him was we found an EXCELLENT plumbing company. read more

Had issues with my water heater so i called Faith Mechanical because i got their number from AO Smith as their nearest authorized diagnostic/repair house. I gave them my info, the AO Smith authorization number and details of the problem and was told they would call me back . . . . . . still waiting for that call . . . called AO Smith again and got a different plumber and that company was on point with both their communication and their service . . . A "we don't want the business" would have been better than just blowing me off. read more

Needed to replace a 10 year old A.O.Smith tankless water heater. Found them listed as approved installers on A.O. Smith's website. https://www.hotwater.com/where-to-buy.html . They were very responsive. Provided a quote after sending them pictures. They did their homework to check they had all parts and then scheduled a visit the very next day. The technician took the whole day to do the swap but it was done completely on that day. I liked the quality of their work and am very happy I chose them to do the service. We had an issue with our hybrid heat pump/electric water heater falling down to a lower temperature setting and showing error codes repeatedly. My first instinct was to call another company that we used once and had a decent experience with. The technician from there came in, had *me* google the error code, and recommended I get a new heat pump. He also charged me for the visit. Unconvinced with that amateur display, I looked up water heater specialists/plumbers in the area and came across Faith Plumbing and Air. I texted the number provided and someone responded promptly in the weekend, even though they were closed. We had an appointment set up. Cesar and Eli came in to look at the unit and gave all possible diagnoses of the system. They conducted some service to the unit and left, telling us they will honor a second free visit if the problem did not resolve. Sure enough, it did not, and we actually got a new error code. Cesar and Eli then came back and dug deeper into the issue, which turned out to be a dirty air filter to the heat pump. They cleaned it up and we have had no issues since. This is a far cry from the other company that did not even inspect the unit and recommended I get a new heat pump based on the google search I had done. Also, Kristen, the customer service rep for the company is super sweet. She was kind enough to send us a handwritten note thanking us for our patronage and patience with a couple of minor delays in Cesar coming over to our home the second time. A Gilroy family local service! Cesar and team including the very responsive scheduler Kristen are great. Friendly, proficient, reliable and practical fixing outside and inside plumbing. My new home's plumbing had not been well maintained which I discovered when I moved in July. Sprinkler lines were broken, main water shutoff valve broken off, water heater 15 years old, etc. He replaced my water heater, washer pressure regulator, re-plumbed outside water line and put in new plumbing and faucets on the other side of the house. I ordered a water softener too. I'm sure I missed something. None of it was easy. He offers practical advice on how to save water and energy. They also do A/C - heating. These folks are GREAT ! Cesar is very nice, competent, courteous and KNOWS his business! I had a problem with an AC system that had been installed just 3 years ago. I called 5 other places and got a recording at each. I left messages at all of them. Cesar was the ONLY one that answered his phone. We found Faith Plumbing on Yelp and so it seems fitting to leave a review here. I would give them 10 stars if I could. Cesar is very competent, kind, and personable. He showed up both times exactly on time as scheduled and stayed as long as needed to complete his work. He was forthright in telling us what was needed and what we could "do without". He pointed out some issues that needed fixing (such as a loose gas pipe) but did not try to pad the bill by fixing it on the spot. His rates are fair and he is very honest. Our A.O Smith water heater generates a humming noise before the Christmas, and it's kind of annoying every time we turn on the faucet. I reached out to Lowes and A.O Smith, they gave me the contact of three service providers in San Jose area, but none of them worked, they either did not reply to my calls or couldn't schedule an appointment, very frustrated. I then found Faith Plumbing & Air from A.O Smith website, and checked their reviews, unbelievable good, I decided to give them a call and see how good they are, the lady is very kind and I shared the video that I recorded in my garage to show the problem, long story in short, she scheduled an appointment for the next day, and the technician arrived on time, his name is Armando. Upon arrival, we couldn't reproduce the issue that I saw before because it is very random, but I showed Armando the video, and he told me he knows what is the problem. It took him about 20 minutes to get the burner out and removed a piece of metal cover, and put everything back and check the leaks. I am a bit surprised about the repair, is it just a piece of metal that caused the problem??? Armando explained to me that A.O Smith designed a metal holder for the burner to protect it during the shipping, it's vibrating and generating the humming noise, removing it solved the problem, huh, how simple it is to the expert like Armando, he made my day. We have used Faith Tradesmen Services a couple of times now. On both occasions Ceasar has been very professional, working with great attention to detail and fair pricing. On one occasion we had pipes banging. Ceasar located the issue with the exterior water pressure valve and he replaced it. They did a great job replacing the sump pump under our house. During the recent flooding they had to come inside the house to get to the crawl space under the house. We ran into trouble with another company and Cesar saved the day. The other company had misdiagnosed the problem and also had left wires unconnected, etc. With a dinosaur of an air conditioner and no model number or wiring diagram to be found, Cesar found out the issue was not the capacitors we were told and that we actually had burned though wiring and a very bad short. The problem looked like we would need a new air conditioner but he gave us a less expensive option that might work and rewired the whole thing and we have cold air! Cesar at Faith Tradesman Services has been my go-to guy several times over the last few years. I've found him reliable, friendly, and extremely capable. When we bought our house almost four years ago, it turned out to be a plumbing disaster. He fixed our washer drain line, partial sewer piping, a toilet, refrigerator line, faucet supply line, sprinkler system, and helped me put in a new lawn. In one case, we had a slow water leak that we could hear, but couldn't locate. I spent hours looking for it, and finally called Cesar. Within minutes he had located the leak outside the house under the back deck. There was an abandoned sprinkler system that I hadn't known existed. Cesar disassembled part of the deck, fixed the leak, and put it back together as good as new. I should also mention that his prices are quite reasonable. On the partial sewer line problem, I got a quote from a well-known rooter company, and when I called Cesar about it, his price clearly beat them out.
