Poor Service, Overpriced, and Incomplete Work I had a disappointing experience with this plumber. A few days after he performed a descaling on my Navien tankless water heater, an error code appeared. When I called him, his immediate response was that the recirculation pump had broken down and that it wasn't his fault if mechanical parts fail. I asked him to at least come and inspect the unit before making that determination over the phone, but he said the earliest he could come was four days later and "this is not on him". I did my own research and consulted another plumber. I was able to clear the error code myself simply by cleaning the filters. According to maintenance guidelines, a proper annual service should include both descaling the heat exchanger and cleaning the filters. Descaling alone is not considered complete maintenance, which means the service I received was incomplete. On top of that, the pricing was not transparent. He initially quoted $99, but when he arrived he demanded $175. Overall, I found the workmanship poor, the customer service dismissive, and the pricing unjustified. I cannot recommend this plumber based on my experience. read more

Now he is lying that he didn't knock. Like ? So I use esp to know when he's standing there ? This is him lying . Sadly this person was one hour late with no apology nor excuse- he bizarrely rapped too hard and too fast on the antique glass ( not the wood - odd) of the door and then he was just rocking from side to side agitated with drug dilated eyes and he couldn't hold his eyes still and I saw he is on drugs. I called Bigbear on a Sunday because the pipe under my kitchen sink broke and water was spraying out, flooding the cabinet and my entire kitchen. He came out within two hours and provided a temporary fix, then returned the next day to provide the permanent repair. While he was there on Monday he also re-plumbed a circulator pump system that needed a check valve. Both jobs were done timely and thoroughly and his work was excellent. The price was definitely higher than I expected, but I felt the high price was due to the fact he came out immediately on a Sunday afternoon, and you do get what you pay for. I would definitely recommend Bigbear and I will use them again next time I need a plumber. read more

I discovered a leak under my house, which previously a national franchise plumbing company said they had fixed. It turned out to be quite serious, and the existing incorrect piping configuration was not the original (although it was years old), which would have continued to cause problems. I love Gilroy because, even though I wasn't born here, I grew up here. It will always be my 'hometown'! We're sort of a hidden gem. We've got the great restaurants, all sorts of winerys, outlets, agricultural land, a theme park, the garlic festival, great homes, entertainment, and more! Gilroys own Christopher Ranch has been the largest grower of garlic in all California! The Gilroy garlic festival of course, is the biggest event of the year here in Gilroy, drawing thousands of visitors from around the world every year. So be sure to drop by, there is soo much to do here. read more

Christopher's Ranch is the largest family owned garlic producers in the US. shipping over 60 million pounds of fresh garlic each year. This is a neat town to visit, especially during the annual Garlic Festival where you reek of garlic after wards for days! Cook offs, vendors, garlic ice cream, you name it! Gilroy Premium Outlets have 145 stores at 25% to 65% off everyday. They have a great Aquarium and a new 75 Acre park, offering rides, restaurants, gardens and one of a kind "Circus Trees". I have not been to the park, which is named Gilroy Gardens. The town is quaint and the gateway to the central coast lines of California. Minutes south of the infamous Silicon Valley, Gilroy itself offers great Wineries. Do not pass this town by, pay it a few days visit, it's a lot of fun and very unique. read more

I had quite a bit of work done with Gabriel. I bought a house in Seaside with 1940 vintage plumbing. Had few contractors looking at redoing plumbing and Gabriel come up on top for quality of work, responsiveness and price. I would love to see "corporate" perks like official emailed quotes, website, etc, but that typically come with price of higher job cost, no availability for 3 weeks and no follow up... i.e. Reliable Plumbing, Chris Willson and A&R Plumbing. That line - straight from my own food bible - is repeated in my mind time and time again whenever I drive through the glorious city that is Gilroy, California. If you are a California resident (and especially if you live in the Bay Area), you have probably heard of Gilroy. It's a large rural town in the very south end of the Bay Area (about 30 miles from San Jose) that's known for two things: super cheap outlets and garlic x10000. The crazy thing about Gilroy is that despite the hype and popularity surrounding this city, you can go all your life as a California resident without even really stepping foot on its glorious ground. If you are driving from one end of California to the other (via 101/5) and are focusing straight on the road + you have your air conditioning on high, you will NEVER notice Gilroy. But if you take the time to look out and roll down your window, you are going to be transported to food and garlic paradise. For if you love the taste and smell of garlic (or if you love cheap shopping), this city is a must-stop for you. Contrary to what I used to think, Gilroy is SUPER close to San Jose/Silicon Valley. When there's no traffic, you can get to the main part of the city in around 35-40 minutes driving 80-90mph. So it's super accessible! When in Gilroy, there are several things you should (ergg, I mean MUST) do. First off, check out the Gilroy Premium Outlets. These outlets are spread through three GIANT shopping lots. Here, you will find all types of brands - ranging from Nike, to Express, and even to Coach. There are so many legit deals here that I personally believe it's worth driving ~40 minutes for. Second, there's plenty of fun attractions. The big one obviously is the Gilroy Garlic Festival. But besides that, there's always life EVERYWHERE you go in Gilroy. Though the city is very rural, there's a lively downtown area. And alongside the road there's always going to be pretty affordable shops that sell FRESH farm produce. And, there's also things like the Gilroy Gardens for families to spend some fun time at. But of course, the Gilroy Garlic Festival is MUST. For around $20 (not including $10 for parking), you can get a culinary experience with some of the best chefs in the Bay Area. And of course, it's garlic everything! Speaking of culinary, Gilroy has a HUGE amount of different types of food to eat. Even if you don't expect it, I've found great restaurants serving food ranging from Thai (https://www.yelp.com/biz/pineapple-village-gilroy?osq=thai) to brunch (https://www.yelp.com/biz/ods-kitchen-gilroy?osq=brekafast). Don't be fooled by the demographics because there is a lot of diversity here. And of course, the garlic...nothing beats the garlic at Gilroy. Wherever you are in Gilroy, you will always smell the aromatic flavor of Gilroy garlic. All in all, I really recommend you to check out Gilroy, CA. Even though it's a HUGE tourist destination, there's so many amazing things to do (and eat) here. I give Gilroy an "omg, I'd travel 2 hours for this." because dang with 101 traffic, it may take that long. But even if I'm only there for an hour, I'll take it. Because it's that dang worth it. I've lived here in Gilroy for about 5 yrs now, and I have no regrets. A huge upgrade from San Jose. I grew up in San Jose and it can be very ghetto in all areas. I actually enjoy the smell of garlic in the summer. Its great!!
