My A/C stopped working on July 4th in 100 deg. heat, of Course. The next day, I messaged RML to come take a look at my A/C system. Miguel replied within minutes. He was at my house a few hours later, and fixed the issue rather quickly. He had also came to my house to change out the circuit board of my A/C unit a few years past and had it working again in no time. He was a pleasure to work with and I HIGHLY recommend him for your A/C repairs. Thanks you again Miguel! read more

I've used RML a few times for AC service and repair. They are always responsive, professional, and quick.

Reached out right away. Was able to come out the next day. He was very kind and knowledgeable. Did his work and wore booties. Price for work reasonable. Will use them again read more

Had a drier vent failure and furnace failure at the same time. Miguel was prompt in responding, on time, professional and reasonably priced. Would highly recommend. read more

Our A/C needed repair a few years ago during a heat wave. After research, I contacted Miguel from RML. He responded quickly & the repair was made the same day. When our A/C needed replacement recently, we reached out to Miguel for a quote. In keeping with good business practice, we did get a quote from another company. Miguel matched the cost with a precisely detailed quote. The competing bid was generic lacking model number, etc. We highly recommend Miguel with RML for his total professionalism. read more

I keep our home very clean. So clean I vacuum again right AFTER our house cleaners leave. That's how bad my OCD is, so when I found out there was a break in our duct system and rodents had made their way in (we live in the hills), I felt violated. We had previously used Miguel/RML for replacement of an old and noisy motor and we appreciated his honest recommendations and promptness, so we decided to go with him again when we had this problem. Miguel showed us all the inadequacies in our system; from it not being installed correctly (our house was built in the 70s and still has original ducts), the space between the crawl space and garage that the rodents were accessing and what he will do, so those little shits won't get in. I appreciate how he communicated what he and his team were going to be doing each step of the way. I can finally sleep well knowing there aren't anymore bastards shacking it up underneath the furnace and living rent like my sister and brother-in-law on my parent's hard earned dollar. I highly recommend RML for your HVAC needs. read more

Our AC went out last night and I found RML's listing and sent a message requesting a quote. I quickly received a message from RML with Miguel's contact number. I sent him a text advising him of our problem and he responded the next morning indicating he could be at our residence in 15 minutes. We weren't home, but Miguel said he could make the repairs regardless. He quickly informed us we had a bad capacitor and the repair would be $225. I asked him to check the Freon level and he did so at no extra charge. He was done within 15 minutes of diagnosing the problem and our AC was working again. I informed him I had seen some dirt in the drainage line and he recommended I flush out the line from the coil. I appreciate Miguel's quick response and professional work. Will recommend him to friends and family read more

I reached out to Miguel via Yelp on Feb 28th and he responded right away with estimate based on photos I had sent. Quote was competitive and we scheduled service call for Mar 8th at 9am. Miguel texted when he was on his way and arrived on time. His workmanship was very good, wore booties in the house, cleaned up and took away the old duct materials. read more

Our AC stopped working and with temperatures well over a 100 degrees we were worried about getting someone over to fix it. I reached out to RML based on recommendations from friends and got voicemail. I did not leave a message and was about to call the next person on my list when I got a text from Miguel apologizing that they missed my call and asking how he can help. I let him know my problem and he immediately responded back with a quote and time he could come which luckily was next morning. The next morning 15 minutes prior to arrival he texted us he was on his way. Showed up on time and immediately figured out the issue and got AC working. We also had a broken pipe that he fixed. Work was clean and professional. Excellent service. Highly recommend Miguel and RML read more

Very respectful and easy to work with, fair prices, no pressure to move forward with anything not needing and they finished with the job looking clean and professional! Thank you! Highly recommend. read more

Called Miguel with a tricky heating issue - heat was only working intermittently. He came out once and had it fixed within the hour, but then it stopped working again later that day. Unfortunately, he had to go out of town, but texted when he got back, returned at no charge and got it fixed for good. Super honest and stood by his work which I very much appreciate. Heat is working great now, but if we ever need HVAC work in the future, I will be calling Miguel for sure! read more

Excellent customer service, quick response time and no upsell. Appreciate straight forward answers and reliability from this company.

My HVAC was not blowing any cold air. And i saw this business on Yelp. And i was message them. The guy name Miguel was very helpful, he was reply back to me within a minute, he came to my house after 30 minute. He was found the issue and fixed it quickly with reasonable cost. I recommended this business. read more

Miguel is a solid guy! I waited a few weeks for some hot weather to leave an accurate review. Miguel replaced an entire unit (Furnace/Ac) for us. He was punctual, professional and thorough in his work. We had some uneven spots where some rooms were colder than others and the thermostat temp was not in sync. He made some recommendations, installed some dampers and now we are within a degree or 2 of all rooms/thermostat. Most importantly his price was very competitive and he runs a no pressure business. Will definitely be my go to for HVAC needs. Turns out few days later he was replacing my Cousins units. Thanks Miguel! read more

The great reviews don't lie. Found this company on Yelp and reached out for a quote for a new HVAC system. RML was the most competitive in pricing. Miguel was very kind and understanding to the needs of both my husband and I. He is very knowledgeable and explained the entire process and different avenues financially we can take to get what we wanted. Miguel and his team were very professional and accommodating while completing the job the week after I had a baby and my husband and I brought our little boy home. He was in constant communication about what noise to expect and how long things will take. We are very happy with the outcome of the installation. Would definitely recommend!! read more

Very happy with Miguel of RML Heating & Air Conditioning. One of our furnaces developed a leak and I decided since all of our equipment was 25+ years old it may be time to simply replace all components of our HVAC system. Miguel took the time to discuss options and provide his recommendations without any pressure. Super responsive throughout the entire process and they finished up the job in 1.5 days. Great work and absolutely recommend them for your HVAC needs. read more

Referred to this business by family friend and validated by reviews in Yelp and Nextdoor. Yelp mentioned a response rate of 100% and a response time of 10 minutes. But after the extreme heat wave in Gilroy in July 2024 my AC broke down and needed some immediate help. But after 4 days of a pending quote, the company finally responded "I'm booked". Found another local business, Prime Air, and they came through! read more

Professional, courteous, clean and punctual. Miguel gave clear explanations of my options and the work involved. He wasn't pushy or high pressure. Our heater stopped working during the coldest part of winter. Miguel came out, cleaned a sensor in the furnace, and got the heat running. A couple of weeks later, it stopped again. Miguel was out of town so I had someone else come out, who told me that either the board needed to be replaced for $500-$800, or the whole furnace needed to be replaced for $3800. I contacted Miguel who said he could come out the next day. After spending a considerable amount of time in our attic troubleshooting the problem, he determined that a part needed to be replaced and that he could order it and replace it the next day. The next day, he contacted me as soon as the part came in. He replaced the part for $275 and we have been warm and cozy ever since! Miguel is responsive, reliable, and honest. He will be our go-to HVAC guy as long as we live in the area! read more

Requested an appointment for a AC repair quote. I got a text within seconds and said he could be there within 10 minutes! I've NEVER had that kind of responsiveness! Showed up on time, quickly found the problem, which wasn't nearly as bad as I expected, and fixed it right on the spot. He didn't overcharge me or try to take advantage. Very affordable for this single mom! HIGHLY RECOMMEND! read more

Very quick to respond, in depth knowledge of product, friendly, reasonable, reliable. Miguel helped me the day our AC unit stopped working! He was on time and was able to sort out the issue incredibly fast and efficient. We will use RML as our new HVAC people. Thank you Miguel! read more

Miguel was great. The only repair guy that was able to come out the next day (would'a been same day if we had called 5mins earlier) where everyone else was 10 -21 days out for a simple repair. Miguel was here for less than a half hour.... diagnosed (capacitor), performance checked and repaired all in under 30mins. Don't know about the price (didn't care either) but my a/c is fixed on this hot a$$ day and I don't have to listen to the fam whine about it being hot in the house any more. Thanks Miguel you will be my go to guy from now on!! Thanks again, Sean read more

We were experiencing a fickle furnace - sometimes it would kick on, most times it wouldn't and we had to manually turn the fan on to get any heat. We thought we would likely need to replace the fan. Miguel returned my call in 30 minutes time, and offered to come within the hour to take a look. He was prompt, friendly, knowledgeable, and efficient. We know have a working heater! He identified the problem, had the replacement part on hand (capacitator, not fan) was reasonably priced, and no pressure. Our furnace is old, so I have already saved his number for when the day comes we need a new one! read more

Miguel arrived a bit early for his appointment, which is great. Response time was only a few days from when I called (it wasn't an emergency) and his rates were very good. He performed the preventative maintenance and also explained what he was doing. He was clean, friendly, and informative. I will definitely call RML again for my next yearly PM, or if I need him for a problem (hopefully he won't be needed for trouble). read more

I called to ask about a wall heater repair in an Aptos residence and before I could even finish leaving a message was called back by Miguel. I could tell he is a good guy and he offered me very useful suggestions. But since it was a small job outside his area he suggested another company closer to my area. But he said he'd do the job if needed. I appreciate that kind of honesty which is why I decided to write a review. read more

I thought "Hey, why not install a smart thermostat?" I did my research, watched some Youtube videos and it seemed easy enough to install. I popped the old thermostat off the wall, and oh no, no C wire. The instruction booklet said in that case, to go to the furnace and do some stuff there, which I wasn't comfortable with. I found Miguel here on Yelp and saw all his awesome reviews. I requested a quote here, and he responded within minutes. I sent him a photo and he pointed out that there is a C wire hiding in the bundle, it's just not connected to the old thermostat, pull it out of the wall a bit and now connect it all up. Sweet! I killed the power, labeled the wires including the C wire that was hiding, connected the wires, snapped the new Ecobee in, flipped the breaker... and nothing. Miguel came out shortly after to check it out. He gave me a short timeframe in which he would arrive. He came on time, prepared with the tools he needed. He was professional and friendly, and took the time to explain what he was doing. What he initially thought was going to be a quick fix turned out to take a wee bit longer (only about 50 minutes altogether). In the end, he needed to do some rewiring at the furnace in the attic (which was not laid out in the instruction booklet, and so was not something I would have been able to do myself). Thanks again Miguel! I've bookmarked you for the next time we need your services. read more

Miguel came out to Hollister to take a look at my A/C unit which abruptly stopped working a week prior. He gave me an appointment time and showed up 15 minutes early. When he arrived he introduced himself and had a friendly demeanor. It only took him about 10 minutes to diagnose the issue. Miguel was very informative throughout the entire process. I made payment and he went to work on fixing the problem which was a worn capacitor. I don't know anything about A/C units and naturally I thought this was going to be an expensive project. Miguel could have easily told me I needed to replace my entire system in hopes that maybe I would be naive enough and agree to an $8500 job without soliciting a second opinion. But he didn't do that. He was upfront and honest to what the problem was, which only cost a couple hundred dollars and included a 1 year warranty for the part. He did provide other recommendations since my A/C unit was on the very older and used side. I have to agree with all of the other 5 star Reviews that Miguel has received. I highly recommend him and his company for anything you may need that is A/C related. Miguel and his company being a local business also made the decision to go with him that much easier. Thank you Miguel for your honesty and expertise!!! read more

Very responsive. I left a message and got a call back immediately. Miguel is very knowledgeable and was able to identify the issue with my furnace within 15 minutes. Miguel was wonderful to work with. His quote was the most competitive of several we recieved and he was able to install 2 weeks sooner than anyone else we spoke to. I would highly recommend using this company. I made an appointment with a very reputable company, and they never showed up. I sent an email late at night to RML first thing the next morning they contacted me and he was here by 9 o'clock in the morning. with this cold weather. I was beyond thankful. I would give this company five stars plus. The service technician was respectful of my property, evaluated the problem, gave me an estimate and my furnace was working again that night. read more

My husband and I recently had the pleasure of working with RML; specifically Miguel. Miguel made the process of installing a new AC unit very easy, and he was very accommodating with my busy schedule. Every interaction with Miguel was fantastic. He was very clear on what the anticipated costs would be, what was required to do the job and his written quote outlined everything as discussed; it even included warranty details. Authenticity, honesty as professionalism are qualities very hard to find when hiring a company to provide a service. RML has all of these qualities and we couldn't be more happier with the service we received. read more

Excellent experience! Miguel is awesome, hooked my parents up with an AC unit, adding on to their existing furnace and repaired a crushed duct in our house, as well as cleaning up our condenser. I originally had Nest send someone out to install and verify that I could upgrade the Aprilaire system in my house. The Nest installer was unable to proceed due to HVAC concerns (Aprilaire proprietary) I discovered RML Heating and reached out. Luckily, Miguel was available same day which was unexpected but welcome. I expected to get an insane quote due to ripping out all the Aprilaire stuff but Miguel was able to rewire everything directly to the nest and unplug the Aprilaire all together.
