Guy was hired by our apt complex to replace the HVAC in our unit. From day one, Guy seemed to go the extra mile for us -the tenant . He affirmed all the info that we needed to get the system replaced legally as we had to fight for three years with our apt complex to get this done. . Our home had the original (approx 42 years old) 5 ton A/C and 80% furnace in one zone. I interviewed 4 companies. We chose Guy's A/C because he was the most knowledgeable on our options, the most personable, reasonably priced, punctual and prompt in his responses. Our project took 2 days as they replaced the A/C to 17 seer 2 stage unit, Furnace 96% 2 stage and installed a new wall return. They showed up each day on time and cleaned up thoroughly. Guy was as concerned as I was, that we had no screws left in our driveway or garage. They had to cut out a hole in an expensive faux painted wall. The cut was perfect. Maurice, the install lead, really impressed me with his attention to detail and his work ethic. They ripped out my severerly aged furnace, installed a new-fangled attic furnace, hooked in my AC lines, vented it, and re-ducted everything via the attic instead of the split floor/attic system we had previously. They got this all done withing 3 days. And it really felt like they were working on their own house, not just cranking out another contract. Highly recommend Guy's heating and air services. We've had him out multi times for different reasons. His price quotes are very reasonable. We have a small child and had no AC or heat upstairs due to some faulty ducting. During this past summer it was brutal on the baby at night. Had no way to cool upstairs and her bedroom. Guy came out with a small team and added dampers to our ducting, patched holes and repaired a leaky furnace pan which corrected the problem. I can't thank him and his crew enough. After being told by PG&E that they could not fix our furnace, I called Guy to set up an appointment. As per his voice mail, I left a message and he got back to me later that day. Today after a couple of hours of trouble shooting with no apparent cause as to the issue, he took a pic. to see if there was anything inside (he found the furnace paperwork under the burner assembly, half singed!) and removed the blower to remove paperwork. One of our air conditioning units quit working about a year ago. At the time, we had another company come out and give a quote. They said it would cost more to repair the unit, than to replace it. We put off the replacement and let the remaining unit struggle to keep up. That one went out, too. Thinking we had to replace two units, my husband called Guy to come out to give us a quote. He looked at the units, found the same broken part on each unit, and replaced them for $150, saving us about $4000! Talk about honest service! We were having issues getting our air conditioner to work, it would work one day and not work the next. I looked online to find someone and read the great review's Guy had so I decided to call him. When I called him he tried troubleshooting over the phone with me, then he came over and identified the problem which was the thermostat wasn't working properly anymore because it was an older model. He left and later returned to install a new thermostat and the ac is working perfectly! I had a total of 5 HVAC contractors visit and evaluate our existing system to determine the best way to improve the overall performance. The first one that visited noted white condensation on our HVAC flue. He advised we needed to immediately replace the system because it was a fire hazard. Turns out, that was completely incorrect. The other HVAC contractors recommended replacing the entire system. Guy came to our home, opened up the system, found and identified an issue with the furnace (at no charge). He came back with a recommendation to replace the furnace only. I contracted Guy. He came out with his team a week later and personally helped install the furnace. In that process he found there was a problem with the AC internal coil (there was a leak which resulted in corrosion of the system which he showed me). Again, rather than recommending the entire AC be replaced, he recommended replacing the coil only. The quality of the work was top notch and I felt throughout the process that Guy's true focus was on what was best for our home. read more

Every local service I called was booked until next week, but Guy took the time on the phone to help me figure out how to turn everything off until he could schedule an appointment, and was very patient/helpful. I just called Guy's and a technician answered immediately. I told him that the thermostat on my furnace wasn't working and asked him for an appointment to come over and repair it. Instead of coming over and charging me for the house call, he did something amazing; he told me the truth; which which cost him, but saved me, a lot of money. He simply asked me, "Did you change the battery?" I said, "I didn't know they used a battery." Then he patiently explained how he knew that my system used a battery. He told me to replace the battery and to call him back if that didn't fix my thermostat.
