It's been a couple of years since I stayed at this location and my recent experience at another Fairfield Inn was dreadful; there was redemption during my stay here in May. The lobby was bright and clean, the front desk was helpful and friendly. The business center was easily accessible and a printer is available for use. The dining area was also very spacious. Onsite gym and indoor pool is available. The room was fairly large and offered a nice desk for a work area. Nice walk in shower and a spacious bathroom. The bed was comfortable for me. The downside was the lighting by the desk--the window treatments were such that I was not able to move it aside to allow any natural lighting to the desk area, so it was a bit dim for me. Despite my room facing a somewhat busy roadway, it was not loud at all and just beyond the freeway was a view of the Willamette River. They have several USB plug-ins by the desk and the bedside for charging your devices. They offer breakfast in the morning--simple choices, nothing fancy--assorted cereals, instant oatmeal, bagels and fruit, there was also the option of a hot breakfast sandwiches (biscuit or croissanwich on my stay). They are at the edge of East Eugene, not far from the UO campus/Matthew Knight Arena. It's not a bad location and easy access to the freeway.

Favorite hotel in Eugene, OR!!! Last minute trip for work and the Courtyard (where I usually stay in Eugene) was sold out so I gave this place a try and am glad I did! Upgraded to a king suite which is basically a king room with a bonus living room and 2nd TV. Spacious room made for a VERY COMFORTABLE stay. Hotel is newer and updated and has great internet and internet TV. They have all the HBO channels and MAX internet TV. Will definitely be back!

Large bedroom, nice light from the window that does open for fresh air.

I stayed here for two nice attending some meetings for work. Good rate and clearly a newer property. Overall had a great stay here. The check in was smooth, even with a new trainee. Staff were welcoming each time I came back and as I left too. I had an upper room floor and was "upgraded" to river view. Let's be honest this is a mixed bag. The view is of Franklin Blvd with the river, and the Freeway (I-5) as well. I didn't mind the bit of noise as the A/C white noise drowned it out, but I would not have paid for this and if i go back I'll ask for the forest/parking lot view. I did post photos if you care to see the view. The room itself is great, plenty of room and well thought out. The built in small wardrobe a nice feature, the built in area for the microwave and fridge fit in well. Even that area had USB ports. Speaking of, one of the big pluses here was the number of USB ports and places to charge your phone/laptop. Very well thought out and appreciated. The bed was very comfortable, 4 pillows was perfect. The bathroom was great, loved the glass shower doors, plenty of counter space as well. Breakfast was good, nice setting and good variety of food and fixings. The area was kept clean too. I came back my second night to find the parking lot around the hotel packed. A few oversized vehicles had taken up two spaces. But it's not clear that you can park in the in the next door lot too, I did check after I parked and was told it was fine. A small feature I really appreciate is the stairwells were carpeted and painted, I prefer to walk up and down and skip the elevator, and I hate feeling like I'm walking in a bomb shelter, so kudos for all the attention to detail. I would stay here again without a doubt.

Decent spot for this tier hotel. Clean and not too loud. Had a togo breakfast that the kids ate and nightly rate was pretty standard for this type of spot. Would consider stopping for the night next time we drive through Oregon.

Very new location! Bed was so comfy, breakfast was delicious, wifi worked very well, TV was good size, charging station had two USB outputs so that was useful, and service was great. The only thing is that the room was not 100% clean, and to me, that is basic. This was mentioned to the front desk right away and he apologized on the cleaning crew's behalf. So very minor, but wanted to be fair.

When you ascend to the attic, you'll find an impressive replica of the house, and also a nice collection of war memorabilia (Swords, flags, photos, medical instruments, etc.). We very much enjoyed learning more about the history of Eugene; the docents were both friendly and knowledgeable. The furnishings and architecture are from a different time and the tour was informative.

The docent was a very kind and friendly lady who knew the most about Aida but knew something about all of them. I appreciate her honesty when we asked a wished didn't know she would tell us she was not sure but would offer a maybe because... or probably because.... She pointed out what pieces of furniture were original to the home and explained how the rest were donated. So much history! She said the last lady who owned the home was raised in the Campbell House Inn which is actually where we stayed! I didn't take a bunch of photos as I was enjoying the moment and listening to the docent tell us the history of the home. Also many other people have posted great photos here already so no point in being redundant. The docent said it is decorated for Christmas during the holidays and recommended to visit it if I'm the area during that time. The theme was weddings do when we visited as the docent explained that someone had donated a tremendous amount of wedding gowns to the museum.

He sorted me out pretty quickly and then I faced my next wonderful obstacle: an amazing concession stand with a very understanding vendor who had two different kinds of kombucha on tap, chilled brut rosé, several beers ranging from a Pilsner to a stout, several kinds of wine including Pinot noir and Cabernet Savignon, popcorn with real butter, frozen junior mints, whoppers, peanut M&Ms... everything good was there. Give yourself a few extra minutes to decide what you want to nosh on -- just don't pass up such a great selection. The movie was showing in theater B which was across the courtyard, really lovely few steps between buildings. The chairs were very comfortable inside theater to B and the drink holders wide enough to hold the mason jar that my kombucha came in. Yep a real glass -- none of the paper or plastic stuff -- love that. But maybe the best part was the audience who was clearly queuing to many of the lines and laughed at all the right places. The vibe was a lot like a familiarity that you encounter when you watch the Rocky horror picture show: lots of audience knowledge and appreciation expressed throughout the film, which made the movie even better. I really like this venue and the set up they have. There's also free parking to the side of the building. Support this business. It's a treasure.

Beautiful grounds and a lovely breakfast, plus an evening glass of wine are all included. Very good value. Not mentioned in any reviews that I read prior to staying here: a mainline of the Union Pacific Railroad is just three blocks away. At least three times during the dead of night, trains came through with the horns blowing loudly at each of many crossings through this part of Eugene. Unbelievably loud!!! People living in this area must be able to tune it out, but we were NOT used to this. Because the Campbell House is up a hill from the railroad, it seems that horns can be heard unimpeded by other structures (despite the massive 18 floor Ya-Po-Ah Terrace building nearby). I would suggest wearing ear plugs during the night. Nevertheless, I would consider staying hear again if traveling on my own, but my wife would probably veto it we were both traveling. We left sleep deprived to begin our 7+ hour drive home.
