It's been a couple of years since I stayed at this location and my recent experience at another Fairfield Inn was dreadful; there was redemption during my stay here in May. The lobby was bright and clean, the front desk was helpful and friendly. The business center was easily accessible and a printer is available for use. The dining area was also very spacious. Onsite gym and indoor pool is available. The room was fairly large and offered a nice desk for a work area. Nice walk in shower and a spacious bathroom. The bed was comfortable for me. The downside was the lighting by the desk--the window treatments were such that I was not able to move it aside to allow any natural lighting to the desk area, so it was a bit dim for me. Despite my room facing a somewhat busy roadway, it was not loud at all and just beyond the freeway was a view of the Willamette River. They have several USB plug-ins by the desk and the bedside for charging your devices. They offer breakfast in the morning--simple choices, nothing fancy--assorted cereals, instant oatmeal, bagels and fruit, there was also the option of a hot breakfast sandwiches (biscuit or croissanwich on my stay). They are at the edge of East Eugene, not far from the UO campus/Matthew Knight Arena. It's not a bad location and easy access to the freeway. read more

There is a big game with the Ducks. It's full but everything looks nice and ready to go! I wanted to mention 3 things: 1) They have an adaptive machine so people in wheelchairs can use the pool - amazing! 2) The shower already has body wash, shampoo and conditioner! Very helpful in case you forgot your faves! 3) There were 2 ladies who are firefighters staying here. They are going to help fight the big fire in Washington. The lady at the main desk said they get firefighters from different states coming through to help others! So wonderful - beyond what I have seen at any other hotel! read more

Favorite hotel in Eugene, OR!!! Last minute trip for work and the Courtyard (where I usually stay in Eugene) was sold out so I gave this place a try and am glad I did! Upgraded to a king suite which is basically a king room with a bonus living room and 2nd TV. Spacious room made for a VERY COMFORTABLE stay. Hotel is newer and updated and has great internet and internet TV. They have all the HBO channels and MAX internet TV. Will definitely be back! read more

We stayed with our son's hockey team at the Fairfield Inn and Suites last night. The rooms were clean and the breakfast was lovey but the star of the show was our check in experience. Shantell, the Assistant GM, was fantastic. She asked us questions to make sure we got rooms that met our preferences. She was genuinely friendly as well. There is a sign that you can ask for a bath matt, but too late when naked ready to shower. Why is there not a bath matt. We threw a hand towel down and used it. Some towels were worn. We stayed at the FFI for an overnight after an Oregon Ducks football game at Autzen. It was a night game and rather than drive back at midnight (or later) we decided to stay the night. The hotel was presentable and clean. I had checked-in using the app while on our way from Portland to Eugene, but it wouldn't let me fully check in without first going to the front desk to present my picture ID. Luckily, there was only one person ahead of me. Once at the front desk, it was pretty easy as the room was assigned previously. All the employee needed to do was give us the keys. She recognized that were were going to the football game and gave us some advice about a ride-share service versus walking. The room was basic, but clean overall. I was a little disappointed about the view that was an "upgrade" to a river view. We couldn't really see too much of the river since the main road (Franklin) was fronting the hotel. So it's a bit deceiving. I think next time for this purpose I wouldn't opt for paying an upgrade. to look at the street. We decided to walk back from Autzen to the hotel and it was about a 45 minute walk in 35-40 degree weather. Although there is a walking path, I would not do this walk alone. There are some dark areas and you never know. Once we got back to the hotel, thank goodness the heat worked well in the room! The self serve breakfast consisted of egg-mcmuffin like sandwiches, cold and hot cereal, oranges and apples, apple and orange juice, coffee and teas. It was never super busy and there was ample seating for the guests. I would stay here again for another home game where we didn't want to drive back to Portland. Parking was included, no additional charges. read more

First visit to the Fairfield Inn, Springfield, in November 2024. This is a new hotel, and it is clean and welcoming. A very polite check-in experience, and scored an upgrade to a 'suite' room. Couple of comments /suggestions. 1. Location. This hotel is neither in Eugene or Springfield, but rather Glenwood, which is the unincorporated buffer zone between the two cities. The hotel's immediate neighbor is a new Hilton Hotel, but there is little else nearby. The view from my window is the solid waste management center, the industrial neighbor to the rear. No food or entertainment walkable. 2. Some of you will remember my complaint about hotels that advertise 'suite' rooms when, in fact, the 'suite' is simply a larger room bay with some fig leaf of a divider for the part of the room having a sofa. Shameful misrepresentation. A suite requires multiple rooms, which this hotel does not offer. 3. I was surprised that the bathroom has inadequate lighting at the sink/mirror. Shaving should not involve guesswork, and the light color (maybe, 2800K?) and lumens need improvement. 4. In a city that calls itself TrackTown and hosts the nation's #1 college football team one would expect a better effort in the fitness center. First, shamefully small. New equipment, obviously, but the designer selected treadmills that automatically turn off (cool down mode) at 20 minutes. Worse - dangerous actually, the ceiling lights go on and off automatically, based on movement in the room. But during my run all lights turned off because, I guess, the sensor does not reach the treadmill near the mirror. read more

The hotel front desk staff has been very friendly & efficient the last couple of visits. The loss of stars are on the amenities. Room 407, noise from highway 5 was heard all night, even over the AC fan. Having stayed in this hotel before, it was obvious that this room was missing the couch normally included. The beds were hard enough to leave the hips aching upon waking. Marriott's often use a hard mattress with a soft topper. read more

Relatively newer hotel just 5 min away from UofO. The rooms appear clean with very firm beds. Free breakfast was a little sparse but it's free so don't expect much. Adequate parking for no additional fee. Ok on-site gym but there are glass walls so it feels like a fishbowl. Pool looks a bit small and sad. Biggest problem is the freeway noise from I-5. It never stops, all day and all night so bring earplugs or request a room facing the hotel parking lot. read more

Standard Fairfield. I found the front desk staff friendly and helpful. Property is newish and clean. My only quibble is the heating system. After a while it would start blowing cold air instead of just turning off when the room met the desired temperature. Nice and close to the freeway and 3 minute drive over to Oregon campus. read more

I stayed here for two nice attending some meetings for work. Good rate and clearly a newer property. Overall had a great stay here. The check in was smooth, even with a new trainee. Staff were welcoming each time I came back and as I left too. I had an upper room floor and was "upgraded" to river view. Let's be honest this is a mixed bag. The view is of Franklin Blvd with the river, and the Freeway (I-5) as well. I didn't mind the bit of noise as the A/C white noise drowned it out, but I would not have paid for this and if i go back I'll ask for the forest/parking lot view. I did post photos if you care to see the view. The room itself is great, plenty of room and well thought out. The built in small wardrobe a nice feature, the built in area for the microwave and fridge fit in well. Even that area had USB ports. Speaking of, one of the big pluses here was the number of USB ports and places to charge your phone/laptop. Very well thought out and appreciated. The bed was very comfortable, 4 pillows was perfect. The bathroom was great, loved the glass shower doors, plenty of counter space as well. Breakfast was good, nice setting and good variety of food and fixings. The area was kept clean too. I came back my second night to find the parking lot around the hotel packed. A few oversized vehicles had taken up two spaces. But it's not clear that you can park in the in the next door lot too, I did check after I parked and was told it was fine. A small feature I really appreciate is the stairwells were carpeted and painted, I prefer to walk up and down and skip the elevator, and I hate feeling like I'm walking in a bomb shelter, so kudos for all the attention to detail. I would stay here again without a doubt. read more

I just stopped by this location on some business and the young manager at the front desk with the glasses was so rude I left. He interrupted me in the middle of the first sentence I spoke, and then again just a moment later. Just started talking right over me. That's a bad start for me and I told him have a nice night. The only reply was a very snarky and sarcastic "you as well" as I left. I don't know what that kids problem is but I think he has some weird power trip and whoever made him the manager made a mistake. Very new location! Bed was so comfy, breakfast was delicious, wifi worked very well, TV was good size, charging station had two USB outputs so that was useful, and service was great. The only thing is that the room was not 100% clean, and to me, that is basic. This was mentioned to the front desk right away and he apologized on the cleaning crew's behalf. The pool was small, 3.5 feet to 4.5 feet deep with an occupancy of 6 people. Stayed here for two nights with the kids during their Spring break. My overall experience was 4/5. Breakfast- nothing special- waffles, eggs, very thin bacon, sausage patties, fruit, bagel, and oatmeal. Wish they had strawberry sauce and whipped cream for the waffles rather than syrup. Kids pool- Clean, bright, but water was too cold. We were only there for about 10-15 minutes. Room- Clean and new. Only problem I had was that the shower curtain was too short which caused the water to get on the bathroom floor. I suggest paying about $10 more for a river view. We got the non-river which was . Looking at the parking lot and industrial building was an eye sore. Had the curtain closed the whole time we were there. read more

My family stayed here on a road trip between Sacramento and Seattle. Despite the brief stay, the cleanliness, comfort and amenities of our accommodations were still important to us. This hotel met those expectations, and even had the portable crib set up (and furnished with a toy!) when we arrived. The breakfast was your typical Continental menu, with eggs of various styles, DIY waffles, sausage, oatmeal bar, cereal, etc. Comfy dining area with ample seating. One thing I wish this hotel had was a hot tub, but otherwise, it was great. We'd stay here again! read more

Wow, this hotel has only been open for 9 weeks and everything is basically brand new! Came to Eugene for Duck Days at U of O, stayed for two nights. No complaints at all. The workers are all friendly. The location is a 5-minute drive from the U of O campus and downtown area, so very convenient if you have a car. There is a very good free breakfast including a waffle maker, hot items, toaster items, oatmeal, etc. Free coffee available in lobby at all times. Microwave and refrigerator in the room. There is a small pool and a workout room. The hotel is only four floors so the single elevator is not a problem, although that could change once the hotel gets busier. Will definitely stay here again if I'm ever back in Eugene. read more

There was no information on the hotel or it's amenities, no information about the area and no pen or scratch pad. The lack of so many normal room items makes me question their attention to detail and thoroughness in all aspects of Covid-19 precautions. read more

We were so impressed with this hotel, beginning with Katie's help on the phone. We were en route from California, about 3 hours out of Eugene and tried to make an online reservation for the night. Realized we had the wrong date on a non-refundable reservation. Called the hotel and got Katie at the front desk who changed the reservation for us: made it the right date and made sure the Marriott Rewards were included. The room was absolutely beautiful, roomy, beds and linens were very comfortable. It was also really nice to be able to buy a bottle of wine or beer and snacks. Free breakfast in the morning started at 6:30 a.m. but we had to leave at 6:00 and most everything was already out, so great service from the food service folks also. We were grateful. We were very pleased with the hotel and service we received and highly recommend! read more

I'll start off with saying I have stayed at many many Marriott's across the U.S, and have never came across such poor customer service. the front desk lady was absolutely rude and when I came down at 11pm at night and asked for a "FREE" breakfast jug of milk for my 1 year old and she absolutely refuse, acted like it was against policy and that the milk came out of her paycheck. and to be clear, I've had probably near 50 Marriott employees hand me a small jug of milk for my kids over the years, it's not against policy of any kind, she was simply being rude and lazy. then when I asked where to get milk at 11pm at night she proceeds to tell me about a place that is 13 miles away that required getting on the highway to the next town, absolutely pathetic. for someone who stays at nothing but marriotts,many times a month, and uses only amex Marriott cards, would never in my life expect that kind of lazy disrespect. it is almost worth taking my business, elsewhere. read more

A great place to stay for a few nights. Upon entering we were greeted and welcomed in. The check-in process was super quick and simple and the front desk young lady was very professional and courteous. Our room was located on the 2nd floor, it was nice, very quite and clean. The furniture and the appliances looked new and not damaged, just like in the pictures posted by other yelpers. Overall we had a very pleasant stay (free breakfast is a plus), I would recommend this hotel to everyone. read more
