This hotel is amazingly modern and incredibly clean. From the automatic black out window shades to the work center with free computers to use in the lobby I was shocked. They even had their own tiny store for basics like chocolate bars or combs! The staff were incredibly accommodating and addressed any need that came up. First of all, let me just say YUCK! This particular 'inn' was awful to stay in. Had we had an option, we would have stayed somewhere different after checkin, but no rooms anywhere nearby. We arrived around 4pm and check in says 3pm. We had to be somewhere very important no later than 5:30pm. We barely made it due to waiting 30 minutes to be checked in due to being told there were no clean rooms available. When the room finally was 'available', we went to the room and there were already people occupying it! We had to go back and they changed our room again. And instead of apologizing, the girls just kept saying 'we're so busy'. The room was disgusting. It was dark, stuffy, and smelled like old stale cigarettes. The bathroom toilet would not flush so we had to plunge the toilet in our room before we could even use it! The bathroom itself was disgusting. It was very tiny with a dim light, hair was all over the sink, counter, and tub. There was mold in the corner of the tub. The beds were somewhat comfortable although sheets and comforter were questionable as far as cleanliness. 7:30am. 3 kids and 4 adults standing RIGHT OUTSIDE our window, chatting and screaming and laughing and generally waking us up! To top it off, when I called and spoke with the 'supervisor', she basically told me we should've expected a wait to check in, it's not their fault the toilet was clogged. Nor was it their fault it was disgusting and customer service there is lacking. Ridiculous. I will be complaining and telling people about this everywhere I can and every chance I get! Service was great at check in. Room was not the greatest due to dust/ dirt and the mold on the bathroom door was gross. Hoping they clean this up and hold themselves to higher standards than this. Would like to stay here again due to how convenient it was to the job site but will look elsewhere for next time. One of the best day's inn I ever stayed at. The customer service is beyond friendly and Absolutely helpful. He was really nice n helped me with my questions about the place since I'm new in town. The front desk has cookies and drinks all day long and the best part is the cookies are home made and taste delicious. The room is very nice and clean. We got the outdoor room one and it was probably because we had our dog with us. Did I mention they are pet friendly? They have a $15 pet fee and that's the cheapest one around. They even have a cute doggie bag they give you thay comes with treats and doggies poop bags. I slept very well in this room. The shower is one of the best things about this place. The water is hot and the pressure is high. The price for thos place is a little pricey but I would definitely go there again read more

I was very pleasantly surprised by how accommodating the staff was, how nice our room was, and how huge it was. I normally don't stay in hotels because my traveling is always for schools or to see friends, so I was hesitant to stay at a Days Inn because they vary greatly in quality. My boyfriend and I were driving from LA to Seattle and picked Eugene as a good stopping point and chose Days Inn off a priceline price of around $66. I held my breath and prepared for a dirty, old, hotel. I was wrong. I was exhausted when we checked in but the concierge was very nice to us..asking about our trip, blah blah blah. AND THEY ALLOW PETS. That was a huge plus to us because we were going to have my cats anyway, but it was nice to be so open about it and tote our cat cage along. The location is pretty awesome. You are literally right across the street from the Knight Center and U of O campus and a busy street. When we were getting our room assigned to us, I asked for a non-first level room because the doors to the room are visible and open to the public. That freaks me out. I don't want drunk college kids to walk across the street and knock on our doors or break a window. But they were completely booked up. I sighed. Then she assigned us to the nicer building. It was only after walking past the first building again that I realized it was closed. I guess theyre only booking in the nicer building for this moment? We were able to park for free (another huge plus) in the slot right in front of our door which was wonderful for unloading/safety of car. And the room was huge! I was so surprised by how big it was. Like really shocked. You had to walk across the room and around a corner to get to the bathroom. Not at all what I was expecting. There was a lot of room for my cats to run around, throw our luggage recklessly, and a laundry bag/ironing area. That was absolutely the best part of the hotel room. Huge. The bed had to have been a CA king as well, because we had a hard time going from the middle of the bed to get off and fetch the remote, get water, whatever. That was awesome. My only qualm was the TV wouldn't turn up the volume very high and we wanted to watch SNL after so much driving. But that wouldn't stop me from staying here again. Everything was very clean. I inspected the bed, carpet, bathroom, and coffee pot...All very clean. I would have up and left if I found anything that wasn't spotless. I would absolutely recommend staying here if you are in Eugene and don't want to spend a lot of money. Free WiFi and a nice free breakfast in the morning that has more variety than other hotels. I stayed in Room 105 on a Monday night after spending the day at Crater Lake National Park, heading back to Portland. I checked in late, but it was wonderful to have friendly accommodating staff to make the process easy. The room was easy to get to, and there was plenty of parking. The room was clean, spacious, and modern. (During this trip to Oregon, we've stayed at hotels that were clean but definitely needed some updating or had details, like old bolt holes in the wall that were never covered, that were overlooked and made the place look cheap. This wasn't the case here.) The bed is comfortable. The only issues: * the faucet in the restroom has its hot and cold reversed, which could lead someone to burn themselves. The hot water is REALLY hot, to the point that it might scald someone. * the air blown from the A/C unit under the window has a bad smell. When it's on, it has an ammonia smell reminiscent of a used porta potty that fills the room. * the room needs more outlets. Notwithstanding the two issues, I'd stay here again. (I assume not all the rooms have these problems.) It's a clean, comfortable place to sleep for an affordable price. read more

I had called the front desk a few times to update travel plans delay due to bad weather. The staff were super friendly and accommodating. Upon arrival, we were treated very well. Again, I was pleased with the service. We were so tired after a long day and had no energy to complain or look for another hotel room. Trust me, I would have. The room was dirty. I won't say filthy, but lots of dust, mold, stains, and overall feeling of "keep everything off the floor and counters!". Thankfully we had Clorox wipes in the car to wipe everything down. Our habit after getting into a room, no matter how classy it is, is to pull the bed apart to check for bed bug evidence. No bugs, but we found a nasty blood stain on the mattress. It appeared the bed sheets were clean as well as the towels. This hotel appears to a great place for construction workers looking to crash after a long day of work as we saw a lot of them. Again, let me say the people are super friendly here. But due to the condition of the room, we won't be back. read more

It is my goal to find the best places to visit in Oregon and Washington. I will always start my review with a 5 star rating and depending on my experience deduct a star or add if possible... Days Inn on Campus in Eugene, OR. started with a 5 star and by morning only deserved a 1 star rating if that. However before I left, i bumped them up a star because of the professionalism of the Office Staff. We arrived at Days Inn on Sunday April 22nd, we chose Days Inn because of its location to the Surgical Center that i was to visit on Monday Morning. Upon arrival the hotel just looked old and possibly run down, but we were surprised as the office and kitchen area was clean and the girl at the counter had a smile and was pleasant to talk to. We went to our room around 3:00 and once again surprised at how large the room was, it appeared clean nothing above and beyond , the bathtub looked stained, and old, could use a bit of a surface scrub, or a new tub, yet the room appeared clean and we were satisfied. Having unloaded our suitcase we headed into town for a quick Dinner and a movie. We returned to the hotel room around 11:45 pm, ready for a good night's rest as my doctor appointment was in the morning. Both my spouse and I had gotten ready for bed and it was now time to turn down and climb in, as I moved the blanket and top sheet back, to my "Surprise" and I do not mean a Happy surprise or event.. there was a small trail of blood on the top and bottom sheet, like that you might see if a woman were to start her cycle and Well you know the rest... WARNING... I am posting pictures of this event, so if you are squeamish don't view the picture, it's only a little blood, but blood nonetheless.. this in "NO BUENO" how on earth can the person who cleaned the room honestly just leave her card on the nightstand and proudly say she "cleaned" the room.. She may have vacuumed, dusted, and "Possibly" put up knew towels. (God I hope the towels I used before bed were clean, I even question that now). But she in NO Way changed the sheets, was most likely in too much of a hurry to even care! My wife at first thought it was just a stain and I should just get into bed.. but then we pulled the covers back further... NOPE! not gonna Happen... Because it was so late and i just wanted to sleep I put the covers back over the bed and slept in my clothes on top of the covers. This was a very uncomfortable night and I don't think I would ever stay at Days Inn on Campus in Eugene again. When we went to check out the following morning, the person behind the counter asked us with a smile, how our night was.. to which I said it would have been great if the employee responsible for cleaning the room before the next guest use it would have done her job.. I laid the cleaners card with her name on it up on the counter, and opened my phone to the pictures I had taken... nothing else was even needed to be said, as it was obvious what the issue was. She politely acknowledged the issue and apologized, then quickly informed us that our room charges would be reversed... This is the only reason I am giving this place a 2 star. Beware if you choose to stay at this hotel.. Take your own blankets and sheets and make the bed with your own bedding from home. The next time i book a hotel I will be more obsessive about checking every nook and Cranny and "Bed" before I make any assumptions on first glance.. read more

Best Days Inn I've ever been to!! The staff was incredibly friendly, the rooms were way bigger than you'd expect from an inexpensive motel, and we were offered complimentary breakfast in the morning and hot soup and hot chocolate/coffee when we checked in at night, which was an amazing break from the cold. Totally went above and beyond what we had expected, especially for such an inexpensive price. The location is great - right across the street from Knight Arena/U of O campus. It seemed like a lot of the restaurants/bars that students might frequent were across campus, but even that was an easy walk - less than a mile so totally doable, even in the winter. The WiFi was a little bit spotty, but nothing worse than any other free WiFi at a hotel - definitely not a deal breaker for us, and more than made up for by the amazing staff and comfortable room. If I'm ever back in Eugene I'm definitely staying here again. read more

I was actually quite surprised when I went here. I wasn't expecting much but the inn was quaint and a decent size for a room. Operating on a two story motel style, you're given keys with an outdoor access to the rooms. I had a king suite, so there was a TV, three lamps (wall mount) and a ceiling light, an A/C, desk, bathroom with a tub/shower, etc. The site advertises that these rooms come with a fridge and microwave, but I had to go downstairs to request mine - though it came within 10 minutes of that request! So I can't really complain, since it was honoured so quickly. The staff is extremely warm and accomodating, very nice people and they even allowed me a late checkout (1pm is the latest they can do) as my flight left at 6pm and I had nowhere to go. The beds are comfortable enough and quite warm. Someone said the pillows were like rocks, but the ones we had in our room were rather varied, there were five in total, two were moderate (side sleeper), one was thinner (belly sleeper) and two were quite soft and plush (back sleeper), so I assume it varies depending on need or booking level? Housekeeping had the nicest lady who I saw every day for my trip and she was always really sweet and funny. The location is pretty good and it was really nice to be right beside a market and a variety of food locations as well - everything you will find around here within 10 min walking distance is good. When I originally booked, I had the room at about 81$/night. I was expecting to pay the same amount, but walked out with the current 51$/night room special rate! That was really cool. They don't have a shuttle to/from the airport, but Omnishuttle (independent business) handles that quite efficiently, and the hotel will direct you to them if you ask for shuttle service. Though I never went, I feel it's worth mentioning that they also have a continental breakfast - good thing if you're trying to pinch some pennies. read more

This Days Inn wasn't much different from another one I stayed in.... I'm not much of a traveler and when I do I usually bring my own sheets and what not, but on this trip I decided to leave that part out. When it was time for bed, when I remove the cover I found hair on the sheets!! I know it wasn't mine when I looked at it, it was shorter. That just made me wonder if they even change the sheets. The bathroom can also use a little updating. Aside from that whole hair incident, The price for my room was really reasonable and it also helps a lot if you have AAA. You pretty much get discounts at most Inns and Hotels. What was nice was that I had my brothers AAA and the clerk in the front desk was nice enough to accept that. To top it off they do have complementary breakfast from 6 to 9ish. When I got there just about 9 I was able to get my breakfast. read more

Place was a dive. We spent almost $300 for a king suite for a Saturday night. The room had a his and hers vanity but one sink had only cold water while the other only had scalding hot. The shower door was held shut by velco, once it got wet it became uselss. The toilet was in a seperate room which would have been nice but the room was barely big enough for the toilet. Microwave and the mini fridge looked like they were from the 80's. Lastly, their free breakfast was cold bagels and a communal pot of oatmeal and no where to sit with. read more

I felt very comfortable here. I choose Days Inn as it is right across the street from Matthew Knight Arena. I was in town for Stewart-Santana show. The front desk clerk was engaging, efficient and friendly. My room was on 3rd floor so I slept with window open for fresh air and felt totally safe. Four stars as it is what it is, and good place to clean up and catch zzzz's on a road trip. And the friendly employees. Also, a pizza place that was advertised in room delivered to my door in 30 min. The breakfast offering was on the low end of what might be expected, but the coffee was hot. We will definitely not choose a Days Inn again. read more

First, the staff here is very friendly. I also interacted with the maid service and they were very friendly and accommodating. I was able to check in very late (12:30am) without incident. Room was clean and the bed was comfortable. The reason for the reduced stars is due to the age of the hotel. They need to upgrade the carpets and rooms. There is a fridge and microwave and the location is right next to a Starbucks and across from U of O. Free breakfast was good. read more

I stayed over 70 nights at a wyndham resort giving my rewards card number and wyndham resorts refuses to give me my rewards points. i do not recommend wyndham resorts to anybody. They responded to my first e-mail and then ignored all of the 5 e=mails I sent trying to get my rewards points. More to come soon.... read more

The Days Inn is in a perfect location as it sits right across the street from the University of Oregon as well as being surrounded by several shops to include a Starbucks. The Staff was very friendly upon checking in and were very eager to provide additional service when asked. I can't wait to stay here again! If you want a super clean hotel, don't come here! The staff was super nice and it is literally right across the street from Matthew Knight Arena, which is why we chose this hotel. However, upon entering the building (there's two buildings for the rooms) you get a very strong carpet musty mold smell. Our room smelt the same, just not as strong. The sheets and towels were clean, but the room itself just feels dirty. It seemed like the shower curtain had spots that were starting to grow mold. I didn't want anything on the ground. The hairdryer was dirty and I had to wipe it down. I do think $130 a night was steep for such an old/outdated hotel. It might have been because it was an event night? Either way, I would only stay here again if it was the only hotel. It needs some huge upgrades, main thing is to take away the carpet or make sure it stays clean which is probably why it stinks and feels dirty. Oh, and there was a dead spider in one of the picture frames. I know this is something that can happen anywhere, but I wouldn't keep a dead spider in a frame at my own house. I do want to add that they have a Starbucks and track town pizza (which was also good but pricey) within walking distance. If you have an event at the arena, I think this hotel is great for that. If you're super anal about cleanliness and having a newer hotel, this won't fit your needs. read more

Flight cancelled. Called hotel from airport in time to cancel. Was told by desk agent that she was too busy to talk. Called back half hour later and was advised to call travel company with a very condescending 'they have strict policies' added.. So much for trying to help a fully booked hotel and call them first. The normal rate of $95 for our room was $455 for the eclipse. Just a bit of price gouging going on.... They refused to offer any refund. Seems I called them instead of the travel company which was an error. Even the travel company tried to work with them on a partial refund.. Here is what really sets Days Inn Eugene apart. They resold the room, but would not give a refund to us...even partial. This is a lousy business practice called Greed. We wish we could have seen the eclipse and stayed in Eugene. We also wish the Days Inn in Eugene would be more flexible and not so greedy. Happy to see positive comments by others. read more

What a great location for a motel. Located across the street from the Knight Arena making it easy to leave the car at "home" as the University of Oregon forgot to provide parking when they built the arena or was it an oversight. The front office staff was very friendly and helped me get connected to the Wi Fi which I had problems with at first (my fault). The room was perfect for an overnight stay - clean, good beds, large flat screen TV, etc. It was even quiet considering the location and reasonably priced. I stayed here recently and things seem to have gone downhill a bit since last year. The sheets were still dirty(or had been put on the floor in a very dirty/hairy place, as it wasn't just a little bit of hair/dirt) but had been "made" and there were also a bunch of gross dead insects clearly visible in the wall art, behind the glass. They were polite and promptly changed the sheets, but I'm a bit put off now with this place. read more

Not to bad. Good location next to Track Town pizza and a Chinese restaurant. Across the street from knight arena and a block from Hayward Field grocery and drug store. We have stayed next door and the rooms here are a little bigger. Breakfast fare is OK. Hot oatmeal in a crock pot, bis kits and gravey, boiled eggs ( the good) only two mini muffin choices and three types of bread ( the OK), and a small yogurt and cereal selection. Staff was friendly and helpfull. Hot cookies on check in. Beds were a little hard for my taste. Had a of hard or soft pillow. No microwave in the room and the fridge was very small (only enough room for about 8 sodas an a few small things). Wi fi was hit or miss, but that is pretty common in a lot of hotels. A few things in the room showed signs of damage, but functional. i.e. Toilet seat was pretty roughed up. Overall what you would expect for the price. Some nicer places down the road, but the location was what we wanted. If you are looking for a place to crash this hotel is just fine. Stayed in the new part. Don't know if this makes a huge difference. Would stay here again when going to an event at U of O and sight seeing. read more

Service was great. The staff was super friendly and helpful. Made my stay relaxing and stress free. Wish every place I stayed was like this. This hotel is pet friendly and will provide roll away beds if needed. They also have free wifi and a fitness center but no pool. The a/c worked great and the rooms were very spacious. The room i was in had double sinks with a microwave and fridge. They also have breakfast in the morning from 530 am to 10am. They don't have too much of a selection but still enough to get you through the day. They had yogurt, fruit, bagels, toast, and cereal. This hotel is really close in walking distance to the Cuthbert amphitheater, less than a mile. I definitely would stay here if I am ever in Eugene again. read more
