They also moved furniture and appliances and covered furniture with plastic to minimize dust from the demolition of the old ceramic tile floor. Our install was not the best experience due to the distributor cancelling our order for some…read morereason. We picked out our flooring two months in advance, and Abraham said that the distributor must have assumed that it was canceled because the install was not until two months later. I did not hear from them in the weeks leading up to our install so I called a week in advance to see if we were still good to go and they assured that everything was still set for the date we picked. Anyways, my husband had taken the week off of work and they only had enough engineered hardwood flooring to do one room. They went ahead and did the carpet in the bedrooms by Friday of that week. They didnt start on the rest of the house until the following Monday. So we had to takeoff work again, Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday. The workers showed up on time on Monday to rip up the flooring. They didn't show up until noon on Tuesday to install the new flooring so they were still working up until 8 o'clock that night and were still not finished by that evening so they had to come back out Wednesday morning to finish. Needless to say this drug on for almost 2 weeks with our house being turned upside down, not being able to get to our stuff or Cook in our kitchen. I requested that Abraham hire a cleaning service to clean our house because we both had to go back to work and didn't have time to put it back together until the following weekend. He agreed and he did send someone out the next day and they did an impeccable job cleaning the house and getting rid of the dust. I will say had the distributor not canceled our order, we probably would've had a better experience and it would've been done in a timely manner. I think that it's a reputable place and they're honest people. They could work on their communication skills a little better. Would I recommend them again yes because overall the work was good and they did try to make it right after the mistake happened.

COMMUNICATIONS Let me tell you how impressed we were. After my initial phone call w/ Siegfried, I set an appointment and asked my wife to reconsider and meet Design Floors. Siegfried was always on the spot with anything we asked for. He even provided samples for my wife to take back to our new home and we laid them out on our floor to decide. We finally settled on a color and made an installation appointment. One thing we appreciated is how fast he would answer our questions. If it wasn't by phone, it would be text. INSTALLATION / CREW My wife was representing us at our home and keeping her keen eye on things. She was especially pleased, and as a former corporate interior designer, she knows where companies/contractors will short cut installs. According to her, they did everything right. We put in vinyl flooring throughout the entire home except the master bathroom (we have pets; i have bad allergies) and it looks gorgeous. Because our house was completely empty, they were able to finish our 2,400 sq ft home in 3 days. Might be longer if you have furniture. The crew was led by a man named Elly (sp?) and he and the guys were very respectful of our home and took care to make sure things were clean after every day. They took away all the refuse from the demo and took away boxes and other misc sundries after each work day. Siegfried arranged the plumber whose prices were competitive with market rate. There was an accident (small hole in wall) while moving a piece of heavy furniture but Siegfried decided to take care of it on his own dime. Wow, we were impressed! Youngblood's Hardwood Flooring just completed repairs to our 35+ yeqr-old flooring. Their skilled…read morecraftsmen, Augustine and David, did the most perfect job imaginable. Repairs required lacing in new flooring for several holes that were cut previously to install foundation support and several areas of buckled flooring. The joinery to lace in the new pieces to the existing floor is so perfect that the joints defy identifying where new meets old. They worked quickly and efficiently for about 2 days, exactly on time as agreed. They removed all the debris and vacuumed all areas when done. The cost was considerable, but for the skill and quality of the work, and professionally meeting high expectations, the value received was worth every penny. David Youngblood was excellent in communicating with us and explaining as needed. If we ever need any such future work Youngblood's will be who we call.

BUYER BEWARE!!!!…read more Caution is advised regarding CMA Flooring,Kitchen and Bath, which has declined to refund our deposit payment back into our credit account since February 14th. Despite no services being rendered, materials provided, or work completed, aside from an initial consultation to review their proposal and material selection. We opted not to proceed due to unexpected costs added after contract signing, as well as discrepancies regarding materials specified in the original agreement. Please note, there was no cancellation stipulations in the contract. Although the company's owner Bador Obeid initially agreed to and said he processed our refund on February 16th, the owner then became unresponsive and no refund/reversal had gone thru. Following numerous unanswered calls, texts, and emails, they only responded on June 5th when we threatened to file complaints with the Better Business Bureau, Texas Attorney General, and local police, given the substantial amount of over $20,000 involved, which constitutes a criminal offense. A settlement was finally reached on June 10th, with a promise of immediate refund, but the owner has since become unreachable/unresponsive again. We are concerned he does not have the funds or this would have been taken care of by now. Will update if the situation changes. I would highly advised to look elsewhere unless you have a lawyer on speed dial.

Okay - you guys.... if you need flooring done at all.. you HAVE TO CALL TEXAS BEST FLOORING!!!! but…read moreseriously! Start to finish everything was easy - didn't have to worry about anything. They were super fast to respond to my initial request, less that an hour and I sent the request through yelp fairly late in the evening. David came and gave us our quote explained everything to us in detail (both positive and things that could happen to prepare for ie if we needed to replace some of the floor) answered all our floor questions and then some. (FYI he's a contractor too which worked out for us as we bought a home that needs a little more love) We were in a huge time crunch to get everything done before we moved into our new home. We called on a Monday, he was able to meet us Thursday, we signed on Friday. We had a week in-between to get a few other projects done (we painted and weren't especially careful with the floors) Noe and his crew were there the next week and it took them one day to get everything sanded and the first coat of stain on. Even with just one coat of stain it looked a MILLION times better! Who knew we had beautiful floors under all that grime! All in all it took them three days to do everything, and two days for our floors to dry. David explained how to best care for our floors and I couldn't be happier. In terms of securing a contractor and as a standard of practice, I would never suggest just getting one quote, but in this rare case I can state unequivocally a person can exclusively select Texas Best Flooring Company and not have to look elsewhere. This company and our experience is the exception and not the rule. Keep in mind, there is a great deal that goes into installing a floor. It encompasses many steps to do it correctly and it is a trade that requires precision. When we purchased our house in 2016 it had been a remodel with one of the rooms having hardwood floors that were not sealed and secured properly. Consequently, there were issues with moisture that exacerbated the original installation. Something a buyer could not detect initially. Fast forward to March 2026 and we interviewed two contractors who claimed from their website they had years of experience installing floors. I am sure those contractors had years of experience installing floors *incorrectly.* With Texas Best Flooring, David using specific instruments for moisture detection and moisture movement was able to analyize the data and then ascertain the root cause issues along with the subsequent impacts to the previous floor. What followed was one of the best proposals we had seen from a contractor that offered a comphrehensive solution for our floor. This proposal explained the methods and scope of work necessary to accomplish this installation the right way! The way it should have been done the first time around. The thoroughness of this proposal was indicative of the work that was to follow. From the grinding of the concrete slab phase, leveling, buffing, application of specialized expansion sealants, adhesives etc...the hardwood was ready to be installed. Every step of the process was completed with utmost quality and attention to detail. Their customer service is highly knowledeable and a pleasure to work.
