Amazing service from the time the sales rep contacted me to when the contractors finished up mopping the floors after they installed everything the project was supposed to take one day. It ended up taking two days, but I can't even be mad about that with how good it looks they did do my second floor hallways bathroom Closet, bedroom, game room, and the stairs.

This store is in the industrial area off Plano Rd, near the recycling center. It would not be easy to find if not for the large sign that tells you where they are and that they are open for business. You go in the driveway and go to the back to find some parking, which is limited. I went here to try to find some floor planks that match the flooring that I have in one of our rooms. Hiro was very helpful and spent a good amount of time helping me as we went through various options. This store ended up not having what I wanted. Their selection of different flooring is large, but my planks are 15 years old and it is hard to find exactly the right match now. Even though I did not buy anything from Flooring Direct, Hiro answered some texts that I sent after I left. I appreciated his help even though there was no sale. I would come here again to look for flooring.

We had a great experience with flooring direct! After getting the run around from another local flooring company, we scheduled an appointment online for a consultation with Flooring Direct. Bill came to our house and was wonderful! Direct. Honest. Kind. He was easy to work with. We loved the fact that he brought the samples to us and EXPLAINED the different kinds of floors, rather than just trying to sell us the most expensive product. He helped us choose the best product for our situation and budget. The install was messy (as expected) since we removed a lot of tile. The crew was respectful of our home and property. They worked hard! My ONLY negative from the experience was being left without anywhere to sleep the 2nd night. Luckily we were able to get to mattresses and made a make-shift "bedroom" in the middle of our living room with our 3 kids and dogs. The kids actually had a great time with the "camp out", however if I would have known this ahead of time, we likely would have booked a hotel for the night. Overall, it was a pleasant experience! We are loving our new SPC floors and can recommend Flooring Direct without hesitation.

Our floors were just finished Friday 4/8. Tile itself looks good but there is grout or something stuck to numerous areas that needs to scraped off. Some of the tiles have damage. They caulked the floorboards and there's gaps between the caulk and the floors so it looks uneven. The caulk spread down into the grouted areas and so now we have bright white vertical areas near the floorboards. We thought we'd come home to a finished project and at least the floors being cleaned up but that is not the case. I'm so upset that we spent good money on the tile and it just isn't up to par with what we thought the finished product would be. Update: the install manager came out and looked at the flooring and agreed the caulking should not have been done. He saw all the chips, pitted grout, caulking, separated caulking, defective tiles, and the poorly aligned baseboard seams. He assured me it would all be fixed. I told him it had to be done on a weekend but with the next weekend being Easter I thought we should do it the following weekend. He said he would order the grout and tiles and put me on the schedule. 4/21: I call and make sure I'm on the schedule. Tiffany was super nice and assured me I was. 4/23: 2 workers show up about 9. I was a bit surprised as they were very young. I asked if was just them or if anyone else was coming and they said no. I asked if all the issues were on their list of things to fix (broken/defective tiles and baseboards) They looked confused and then started looking at their paperwork. Turns out there was a major communication barrier so they couldn't communicate with me in a thorough manner. They worked until 10:39 and left without saying anything. I was with a different contractor explaining a fencing job and when I went to walk him out they were just gone. I don't know if they're even coming back. So my floors aren't fixed. I'm so disappointed in this company and wish I would have spent $16k elsewhere. I have a ton of pics but can't upload them all. Update: the company is coming back out Monday 5/2 to fix listed items. Will update again after work is complete. 5/2: Company came out and removed tiles. There are FORTY defective tiles that were installed and now have to be replaced. 5/6-5/7: Tile itself has been fixed and cleaned. The baseboards are still lifting away from the walls and have gaps in the tops and one baseboard was cut into when the tile was being fixed. They used all 3 extra boxes of tiles we were supposed to keep for any future issues. We paid an extra $1382.71 for new baseboards and now they all have grout on them and have gaps between the walls where the caulk was applied. Caulking was removed at the bottom and replaced with grout but the tops weren't fixed. We've tried numerous times to get a manager to come out but they will not. Dustin has been the most responsive out of everyone. He has been patient and communicates. I'm not sure why Martin is an install manager if he refuses to manage installs and handle follow ups. Now if only something could be done about the $1300 baseboards and 3 boxes of tiles. If this was Dan Ratcliff's home there's no way he'd be ok.

Flooring Direct was hired to remove carpeted areas and replace with hardwoods that match our existing floors. This is a brand new home. We did our walk-through with the builder then closed on our home, and the next day Flooring Direct came in. We never moved in our home. No other contractor has been in our home. We needed this job done first so we could move in. At this time we still haven't move in and there is no end in sight to when we can move in. They gave us a timeline of the job to be done, and the timeline kept getting longer. They would say they are showing up at a certain time and did not. It was always later in the day. Finally, they get to staining the floors. After it sets for a couple days, we go to see it, and it is the wrong color. We have light beige, real wood looking floors. The flooring they stained has a red color to them, and do not even look like the same type of wood. All week long we have been waiting for a resolution. They have not provided one. They have admitted that they cannot complete the job. They admitted they don't know what happened. They admitted even if they can get the color right, it will always look hazy and like a color has been painted on them. It will never look like real wood. It will never look like the floors that we already have in place. Aside from that, The contractors literally ruined our home. Our brand new construction home that was in perfect condition has now been destroyed by them. Our home needs to be repainted. They damaged existing wood flooring. They broke base boards. Door are off the hinges in multiple place. Our door stoppers are missing. Our home is covered in a thick layer of dust everywhere! Even where they didn't do any work. We continue to live in a hotel room with our family while we pay for our home we can't live in. They collected 100% of our money for the job and have abandoned the job. Our floors need to be redone. They took 100% of the money and left us with this mess.

They installed floating floor in our new home and never told us we couldn't install under cabinets. They also admitted to installing to close to the walls and the baseboard too close to the ground. They never acclimated the flooring prior to install and because of all of this, our entire bottom floor buckled!!! They refuse to take responsibility and we will be taking them to court to recover our costs.

After due diligence with two different highly skilled and knowledgeable wood floor installation…read moreproviders, we selected Texas Best Flooring. If every supplier or manufacturer is as effective, thorough and competent as David at Texas Best Flooring and his team, then it would be satisfaction from the start. I could not recommend a better wood floor provider than Texas Best Flooring. I think David and his team represent the vanguard of this profession and I could not be happier with the materials they installed. The materials are just 50% of this. The installation is paramount and this team of professionals really know what they are doing. These statements are supported by their: -knowledge -thoroughness and details -explanations and willingness to answer questions -comprehensive moisture testing to determine best flooring solutions for our particular situation -clean prompt and efficient workmanship from start to finish -cordial team dedicated to the highest quality I wish all service providers were as professional and knowledgeable as David at Texas Best Flooring. I will be recommending David at Texas Best Flooring and his team to anyone I know who is in need of replacing or upgrading their wood floors.

Exceptional Quality: All facets of our Flooring installation…read more Having any type of floors installed is an involved process with many phases and each phase must be completed exactly right. In terms of securing a contractor and as a standard of practice, I would never suggest just getting one quote, but in this rare case I can state unequivocally a person can exclusively select Texas Best Flooring Company and not have to look elsewhere. This company and our experience is the exception and not the rule. Keep in mind, there is a great deal that goes into installing a floor. It encompasses many steps to do it correctly and it is a trade that requires precision. When we purchased our house in 2016 it had been a remodel with one of the rooms having hardwood floors that were not sealed and secured properly. Consequently, there were issues with moisture that exacerbated the original installation. Something a buyer could not detect initially. Fast forward to March 2026 and we interviewed two contractors who claimed from their website they had years of experience installing floors. I am sure those contractors had years of experience installing floors *incorrectly.* With Texas Best Flooring, David using specific instruments for moisture detection and moisture movement was able to analyize the data and then ascertain the root cause issues along with the subsequent impacts to the previous floor. What followed was one of the best proposals we had seen from a contractor that offered a comphrehensive solution for our floor. This proposal explained the methods and scope of work necessary to accomplish this installation the right way! The way it should have been done the first time around. The thoroughness of this proposal was indicative of the work that was to follow. From the grinding of the concrete slab phase, leveling, buffing, application of specialized expansion sealants, adhesives etc...the hardwood was ready to be installed. Every step of the process was completed with utmost quality and attention to detail. Their customer service is highly knowledeable and a pleasure to work. And David's technical team is cordial, considerate, clean and professional throughout. To summarize, Texas Best Flooring Company is a turnkey operation that provides exceptional services from cradle to completion. We will be recommending David (Texas Best Flooring Company) to everyone we know and if we encounter someone talking about needing a floor installed we will let them know as well to contact David and not waste time going elsewhere.
