GC Flooring Pros is a fantastic company!! Our house recently had water damage due to a leaking dishwasher. Jeff Cappon came to our home to assess the damage and provide us with an initial estimate. After we accepted him as our contractor, he worked directly with the insurance adjuster and answered all questions and concerns the adjuster had. He consistently kept us in the loop when communicating to our insurance company. The letters GC in the name should stand for Great Company, Great Contractor, or Great Communicators, because Jeff and his staff kept us informed every step of the way. They communicated what to expect, timelines, and any unexpected issues needing to be mitigated. They were quick to respond to any questions we had regarding the project. They accommodated changes we wanted for our kitchen vent hood and were really helpful and patient with assisting us with flooring options. Renovating our home after water damage was very stressful and inconvenient. Just wanted to post a recommendation we can make to those considering new flooring. We replaced our carpet and ceramic tile in our living room, kitchen, dining room and entryway with porcelain tile and we are quite pleased. We looked at four different recommended flooring companies (including Nebraska Furniture Mart) and ended up going with GC Flooring Pros based on a few people who used them in the neighborhood and the fact that Nebraska insisted on using quarter round. Their rep said they could do it, but it would be more difficult and more costly. Jeff is the owner of GC Flooring Pros (214-551-9503) and lives in Little Elm. He did a thorough inspection and gave recommendations when asked. He's very responsive and worked with me throughout the process. He also managed to work us in before the holiday at my request. We ended up going with porcelain tile that we found at Nebraska, where Jeff was able to buy directly from the manufacturer for a better rate. I recommend GC Flooring Pros because of Jeff's responsiveness and willingness to work with us. Just know that flooring isn't a seamless process. We recommend that you watch as the team works. We had to flag several spots where they missed some grout and even replaced a few tiles (one had a chip in it) at our request during the process. Don't necessarily expect them, or many other installers to do this unless you instruct them to do so. Jeff says it's not uncommon to have to replace some tiles during installation so if you do go with them, don't be shy. He was very cool about our hands on approach, though he says that they typically go over the job at the end and assess any issues that might arise. We were at home throughout the entire five-day process and monitored things closely. Just a heads up. You don't want to be around when they are doing demo to the previous ceramic tile if you can help it. It also creates a LOT of dust, so learn from us and prepare accordingly. And keep in mind It isn't a quick process. It took five days for the floor installation. We had another guy come for caulking a few days after. Also note that caulking/paint on the baseboards doesn't always come with floor installation unless you come to an agreement like we did. All in all, we are very pleased with the results and Jeff's willingness to accommodate our very hands-on approach. read more

We found GC flooring and Jeff through google and checked yelp. All the reviews are needless to say SPOT ON, a true representation of Jeff and his teams' professionalism, promptness, craftsmanship, friendliness, down to earth attitude, followup, and EXTREMELY COMPETITIVE pricing. We had some issues with grout color after it dried, and Jeff immediately had his team scrape it out even after it dried to regrout to the color we were expecting. His teams' work was exceptional, it clearly matched the "high end builder" look in the areas we didn't renovate. Even the original builder project manager came to take of other things in our house and couldn't tell the difference between the work done by Jeff's team and his team! We have no doubt we would give Jeff a text or call again for our next project since we already saved so much with our first. My husband and I were very lucky to find Jeff to take out all our carpet and tile to add hardwood flooring a year ago. We just had our hardwood lightly hand scraped and re-stained by GC Flooring Pros. Jeff and his crew are wonderful to work with. He's professional and always available if you have a question (or like us a lot of them). We had a few warped boards from a previous water damage that were questionable in our kitchen area. Jeff told me that when they start the work, they will pull up a few boards to test for moisture. He was the only one that offered to do this. The other companies I got quotes from said "if you had an inspection done or a plumber checked it out", you should be fine. We are so thankful we went with Jeff and for his suggestion because there were moisture from a broken drain under the dishwasher that caused the boards to warped. We now have beautiful hardwood flooring and we don't ever have to worry about any moisture under our hardwood again.
