Today 7/5/2024 was my installation date to have new tile flooring installed . Life got to lifeing…read moreand I totally forgot about replacing the flooring that was in the kitchen, pantry, and laundry rooms . I used this company initially back in Mar 2019 . I was blessed with another pleasant exceptional customer service experience from start to finish . I was looking at the Today show on June 5, 2024 . I don't watch a lot of television. A commercial came on for a different flooring company then a light bulb turned on . In that moment I remembered I hadn't replaced the flooring in my kitchen , pantry and laundry rooms. I made a call spoke initially with Joycelyn who answered my call. She found my info in their computer system from 5 years ago . She found an appointment the next day with a window of arrival 0900 - 11:00 am. They aim to arrive at the earlier time of the appointment. My service advisor was scheduled the next day , June 6, 2024 . Later, that day before my appointment , I received a text with a picture of the advisor Fabien D. with his contact number . Fabien was running ‍ late for our 9 am appointment the next day he left a vm . I missed his call by 2 mins but called him back. I wasn't upset but relieved to receive the voice message. We had good conversation when he arrived at my home . Fabien , was attentive and listened well. Fast forward to today . My installer Florencio A. actually arrived earlier than 0900. Again no complaints I rather a early arrival than a late one . . I gave Florencio a tour of the three spaces kitchen , pantry & laundry rooms that he would be working on . He caught me off guard as I was trying to move the last few things that needed to be moved . I am a disabled Navy veteran. Florencio was cool , calm and collect . He didn't gripe at all . As he was getting his materials from his truck I took quick pictures and videos . I am very happy with the outcome . Bravo Fabien and Florencio.

FLOORING DIRECT - The floor installer Joe took shortcuts and it's a rushed job. It's supposed to be…read morea two-day project, but they rushed through this job within one day. Poor and incomplete workmanship in terms of removing and reattaching my baseboards. I instructed Joe to just leave the baseboards alone and keep in place after he removed some of them and claimed that they were damaged. So, then they tried to sell me on getting new baseboards for the whole house but I rejected their suggestion. However, Joe didn't care about what I wanted, and they still went ahead and removed then lowered my baseboards after installing the new LVP flooring on the first floor of my house. They left these long, unpainted, exposed, and ugly drywall gaps. They also damaged some of my baseboards and like I said, left behind these long wall gaps in several places. Joe didn't even bother to inform me about the difference in baseboards' heights after reattaching them to my walls. I had to find out about this myself after the floor installer had already "finished" and left. After I texted her my concerns and my complaint, the sales lady Kathy just kept telling me that it's "normal" to have these long exposed wall gaps. She even suggested that my newly hired painter could just paint right over the rough and uneven gap ridges, without incurring additional expenses on my end. Oh really. I'd sure love to find out how much my new paint contractor would charge me just to repair these wall gaps!! Hire this flooring contractor at your own risks.

Brenda, I knew when I called and you answered that I had called the right place! It's like I said when I called the store.....What took me so long?? And, Marty, thank goodness I was reading his mind but so glad to know he would have shown up anyway! He was fantastic in helping talk me through the process. Now, let me tell you how great Gustavo the installer is. Him and his team did the most beautiful job! They are all so trust worthy and not only did great work but cleaned up too! He communicated with me through every part, helping me save a little money while making sure we're safe and not going to fall through any floors. I am so thankful they were able to do the work so quickly! I would never want anyone else to do my floors! The staff all went above and beyond to make this happen for me and I could not be more thankful!

I'm not really sure why I did business with them. Won't do it again. They seem to always be on the defensive. My carpet is not the same as the sample I gave them but they insisted it is. She can't see the difference, clearly there is a difference but she doesn't want to see it. Oh it's like pulling teeth. Dry and brash. Oh I dislike people who can't accept when they are wrong.

Bad experience with First Floors and their Vice President, who may also be the owner's son, Damon…read moreDobson. We were looking to have over 1,000sf of hardwood installed in 3 rooms and a hallway, finished and hand scraped to match existing flooring. The company came to our house, measured, and Damon sent us a quote. I responded to Damon, asking when the company could get started. Additionally, because I view this as a fairly sizable investment in our home, I had questions about the installer who would be doing the work. Specifically, I wanted to know whether the installer had experience hand scraping, as I know that process can be difficult and time consuming. I also asked if Damon had any references for the installer, or even any pictures of recent work--perhaps a bit high maintenance, but I though it was a reasonable request. Damon simply responded that they could start in 3-4 days. He did not address the questions I had re his installer. I knew that 3-4 days wasn't possible, because wood has to acclimate in the house for longer than that, so I asked him about this, and also repeated the questions re his installer. He condescendingly replied, "but you only asked when we can start the job, and we can start in 3-4 days." Once again, no response re his installer. So I asked about the installer and his experience again. Damon's response was "We do 1,000 hand scraped floors a year, sir." I explained that I was less concerned with the number of floors the company installed, and more concerned with the specific installer First Floors would hire to do the work. So I asked him again. His response was that the company had done a "banker's house" and also a former president's house. At this point, I told him I'd love to use his company, but that I needed more details on who the installer would be, specifically his experience hand scraping. I again asked for recent references. Damon responded "I have come to the realization we are not the company for you." I found the contact info for the owner, Richard, and emailed him, explaining that I thought the resistance to my questions was bizarre, especially considering the fact that we're in uncertain financial times. No response. I've owned a few houses, done lots of work on all of them, and have never been in a situation where a company is not willing to provide info on the people who will actually be doing the work in our home. I think that's highly suspicious. Also, the fact that he was ready to install in 3-4 days, in a humid climate like the Dallas area, is problematic in my experience. I can't speak to the quality of their work, but their customer service is garbage.

Exceptional Quality: All facets of our Flooring installation…read more Having any type of floors installed is an involved process with many phases and each phase must be completed exactly right. In terms of securing a contractor and as a standard of practice, I would never suggest just getting one quote, but in this rare case I can state unequivocally a person can exclusively select Texas Best Flooring Company and not have to look elsewhere. This company and our experience is the exception and not the rule. Keep in mind, there is a great deal that goes into installing a floor. It encompasses many steps to do it correctly and it is a trade that requires precision. When we purchased our house in 2016 it had been a remodel with one of the rooms having hardwood floors that were not sealed and secured properly. Consequently, there were issues with moisture that exacerbated the original installation. Something a buyer could not detect initially. Fast forward to March 2026 and we interviewed two contractors who claimed from their website they had years of experience installing floors. I am sure those contractors had years of experience installing floors *incorrectly.* With Texas Best Flooring, David using specific instruments for moisture detection and moisture movement was able to analyize the data and then ascertain the root cause issues along with the subsequent impacts to the previous floor. What followed was one of the best proposals we had seen from a contractor that offered a comphrehensive solution for our floor. This proposal explained the methods and scope of work necessary to accomplish this installation the right way! The way it should have been done the first time around. The thoroughness of this proposal was indicative of the work that was to follow. From the grinding of the concrete slab phase, leveling, buffing, application of specialized expansion sealants, adhesives etc...the hardwood was ready to be installed. Every step of the process was completed with utmost quality and attention to detail. Their customer service is highly knowledeable and a pleasure to work. And David's technical team is cordial, considerate, clean and professional throughout. To summarize, Texas Best Flooring Company is a turnkey operation that provides exceptional services from cradle to completion. We will be recommending David (Texas Best Flooring Company) to everyone we know and if we encounter someone talking about needing a floor installed we will let them know as well to contact David and not waste time going elsewhere.

I could not recommend a better wood floor provider than Texas Best Flooring. I think David and his team represent the vanguard of this profession and I could not be happier with the materials they installed. The materials are just 50% of this. The installation is paramount and this team of professionals really know what they are doing. These statements are supported by their: -knowledge -thoroughness and details -explanations and willingness to answer questions -comprehensive moisture testing to determine best flooring solutions for our particular situation -clean prompt and efficient workmanship from start to finish -cordial team dedicated to the highest quality I wish all service providers were as professional and knowledgeable as David at Texas Best Flooring.
