We used Style floors in 3 of our houses. The largest job is the one I will be discussing in detail. In our house we had hardwoods, tile, counters, and carpet installed. This was a huge job and bound to have some mishaps. It has almost been 2 years since we had them out and they took care of most everything that went wrong (undone tile work, leak from counter install that was left from upstairs and leaked into kitten, all touch-ups) The carpet is what I want to complain the most about. 5 months after install the carpet started bubbling up in a hallway. I emailed and left a message with Tom, the manager in the wearhouse. No return email or call. I waited and then emailed again and he still has not returned my email or tried to reach out. The carpet was not installed correctly. Now our beautiful home has bubbles all over and looks cheap. The carpet was very expensive! If you use Style Floors - DO NOT USE THEM FOR MORE THAN ONE JOB. They simply can not handle large jobs. A small bathroom that you can oversee closely is probably the only thing I would ever let them do again. Considering contacting Better Business Bureau on this company. We had our floors installed December 2015. Beginning June 2016 (only 6 months later) we began to notice the wood splintering and bubbling in our living room. We promptly notified Style Floors, Who set up an appointment for the installation team to replace the splintered boards. The following sequence of disappointing events have occurred since then: June 21: Wood splinter got stuck in my socks while I was walking in my living room. Scheduled an appointment with the installation team to come out. June 30: installation team was three hours late. Two boards were replaced in our living room with the wood that we had previously purchased back in December. One of the technicians noticed an additional board in our bedroom that he suggested to be replaced. As I was six months pregnant and not wanting to clean up yet another mess I said to leave it alone but we would keep an eye on it. Shortly afterwards, the wood splintered again in the living room on an adjacent board to the one that was just replaced. Most likely was damaged while the original board was being taken out. I notified the installation manager who requested to come out and see the damage both in my living room and bedroom. When he came out he said that they had never had an issue with this product leading me to believe that it was the installation workers issue. He said that he even emailed the manufacturer pictures. He said he would send his team for the third time. July 15: installation team tried to cancel one hour before the appointment was scheduled. I raised hell with the administrative assistant and she was able to get them out there but two hours late. At this point I'm 7 months pregnant and at home with my one year old son. The installation team was a different crew this time and I had hope that the problems will be resolved . I became suspicious however when I came downstairs and saw three of the workers hovering over one board. It would turn out that days later once we removed the weight that was being distributed along that board for the glue to dry, that there was yet another chip that they were trying to cover up! They also managed to somehow damage another adjacent board in our bedroom. They were creating another problem while fixing the original problem, while leaving dust and debris for me to clean up for the third time too. July 18: I tried to contact moe at the store. He was out and supposedly would call me later. No response. July 22: my husband notified Tom of the installation manager of the living room splinter, a newly found chip in our dining room, and the splinter in our bedroom. July 26: Tom the installation manager came out for the second time. Said he would send his crew out for the fourth time. August 4: once we realize that Tom was not planning on being on site with his crew for the fourth time to our house we decided to reschedule to a time that he would be able to accompany his team. He has been out of the office and traveling until late August so we are still needing to get this rescheduled and fixed. August 27: ANOTHER splinter appeared in our living room. This time it was on a new board, one that has yet to be replaced. We have received both a faulty product and faulty labor. I am scared to have these floors in my home with my one year old son and soon to arrive daughter (in less than 6 weeks). I could have easily injured my foot with the splinter getting stuck in my sock, and my son could have easily hurt himself with another splinter that he managed to get a hold of and start playing with. He was helpful in making suggestions based on my likes and dislikes, as well as the traffic and activity in our home. He explained everything about the process and answered all of my questions. Once the install started, I had more questions and Steve drive to my house to make sure everyone was on the same page with how the install would occur and what the finished product would look like. First of all the floors look awesome. We worked with Malek and he provided great advice and options till we found the perfect floors. We went with the Frente style Hard wood from Bella Cera. We shopped around before going to Style and compared to other options the price was a deal and we got real wood. They were able to schedule us less than two weeks out once we signed the contract. We had a front living room and a gym room scheduled and they were able to get both done in one day (not including the 24 hours that the cement set in the rooms). They removed and put back the base boards with only a half inch spot where the paint chipped off the wall (nearly flawless). They moved all the heavy furniture back into the rooms once they were done. The workers were courteous. I definitely recommend Style Floor. Great price and great workmanship. read more

This is the second time we've used Style Floors. The first time was about 3-4 years ago when they tiled our master bath. That experience was excellent and based upon that and our neighbor's experience (hardwood floors) we decided to use them again for our hardwood floors. We picked out the flooring and also picked out a granite countertop for our island. We felt the prices were very reasonable. Scheduling was easy. I had to drive down to Dallas because what I didn't know was that I actually got to look at the granite slab prior to them cutting/polishing it. The actual pattern we had chosen would have had to be spliced from two separate pieces and they asked if that was ok. I said I preferred a solid piece and within minutes they found a substitute that looked great to me. The installation is disruptive, I'm not going to lie, but they did their best to minimize it. When you have to consolidate your life into a room or two with kids, dogs and a cat, it can be a challenge. It took 5 days as I recall. We did the entire downstairs except for the guest bath, master bath, and my mancave. We only did granite on the kitchen island. We were satusfied with the pricing and installation and thrilled with the outcome. The floors and countertop are stunning and we have a whole new home. We have a list of other "todos" priced out already and look to do those over the next 1-2 years with Mo and his team at Style Floors. Highly recommended. read more

This was the absolute best experience buying a carpet I've ever had. I shopped at Lowes and Home Depot, there was never anyone around to ask/answer questions, we tried each store twice. My wife and I went to Style Floors. Moe greeted us with a smile. We told him what we wanted and he pointed us to the samples. He never tried to up sell or down grade, It was...what ever we wanted, he was happy to answer any and all questions. Even answers for questions I never thought about asking! We've hired Style Floors twice now - once for a shower and once for wood floors. Both times we had unexpected issues and inconveniences that Mo and Tom had no desire to rectify. For the shower, their glass contractor did a shoddy job and the glass was not even. No resolution or compensation offered. Now the wood floors. It's just one square bedroom. They show up at 11am to start the project (half of a day wasted), pour the leveler, and tell me they can either come back and start the wood at 5pm or the next morning. When Vicki called me the day before to confirm the install, she stated they would arrive between 9 & 11, pour the leveler if necessary, go to lunch and come back and install the wood. Project might go into a second day if things don't go as planned. Apparently lunch for these guys lasts until 5pm. Thought we would give Style Floors a second chance, but we're now kicking ourselves in the rear. read more

My wife and I have been in our house for 10 years, and with 3 dogs, our builders-grade carpet was just about shot and we were ready to get rid of it. We looked at hardwood floors at the big box stores, as well as several of the local flooring companies. Then, on a recommendation from our neighbors, we decided to check out Style Floors. When we met the owner Mo Amburous, we were immediately impressed. He was laid back, wasn't pushy and answered all of our questions clearly. He sent Dennis Green out to the house. Dennis was great, friendly and very helpful in answering some additional questions we had. He took measurements and helped us make choices that complemented our furniture and paint colors. He also educated us on several things about hardwood that we were unaware of - for example - engineered floors are coated with 8 layers of Aluminum Oxide - a very hard substance used in industrial cutting applications. The Aluminum Oxide provides a hard protective surface over the top of the wood, protecting and sealing it. Style had the best prices per sq. foot installed of any flooring company we talked to and we decided to pull the trigger. Mo had his crew at our house 3 days later, they showed up right on schedule and got right to work. WOW, these guys were amazing - they worked like a well-oiled machine. First, they moved all of our furniture. I was very concerned about this and watched them like a hawk, but they were extremely careful. Much of the furniture they moved into the kitchen or garage which they then sealed off for the "dirty" part of the work to protect it from dust. They tore up all of the carpet, carefully removed all of our baseboards, and got the floor prepped. We replaced all of the carpet on our first floor, leaving only the bathrooms untouched - over 1500 sq. ft. First day was all demolition and prep work. Days 2 & 3 were spent laying flooring, and day 4 was spent doing final detail work, replacing and re-caulking moldings (yes, they re-used and re-caulked our existing moldings, saving us $$, and they look like they never touched them). One of my big gripes with contractors is that they come in, trash your house, do their work and then leave your house trashed. Not so with these guys. When they were done, they put all of the furniture back (with a little guidance from me), and with the exception of putting our knick-knacks back and books back on the shelves, everything is as it was. They also vacuumed, swept and used hardwood floor cleaner on the new floors. The final product is absolutely beautiful. My wife and I couldn't be more pleased. We're also planning on replacing kitchen tile, and counter tops - without hesitation, I know that we will be using Style Floors again! Footnote: I do not represent, nor work for Style Floors. I'm pleased with the work so far, but the flooring team is very unreliable. Tonight someone was scheduled to come finish our bathroom between 6-7pm. It is now 7:45pm and we are still waiting, unsure if they will even show up. We spoke to the dispatcher right before they closed at 7 to inquire about an update, she said she would make a call, but we never heard back. Every timeframe we've been given has been misjudged by an hour or more (we had a window of 1-5, they showed up at 6). The most disappointing part is, we have not been contacted about the delays, but we have to keep inquiring to find out when they will show up. There is ZERO communication initiated by the customer service team. The sales team was great, but it is upsetting that we have wasted so much time waiting on execution. I would not recommend Style Floors based on our experience. FOLLOW UP: After writing this review with 1 star, and making several phone calls the evening that the scheduled technician did not show up, I was contacted twice the following morning right when the business opened. Style Floors went above and beyond to try and correct the issue. They got someone out to my house quick, kept me informed, worked around my schedule, and finished the job great! Mo informed me that I should not hesitate to contact him for assistance, which I should have done throughout the process. His follow-up made me feel like an appreciated customer. My wife and first went to a large box store to look for carpeting and thought we had negotiated a great price. When we walked in to Style Floors we were impressed with their selection, knowledge, and prices. Mo explained the type of carpet which would be best in our house and offered free measurements. We ended up purchasing a better quality carpet at a lower price from Style Floors. On the day of the installation, the installers (Martin and Omar) arrived on time, and worked for almost 10 hours on our four rooms and stairs. The installers were very professional, polite and they did a fantastic job. Both the Style Floors staff and the installers worked well with my wife and myself. read more

When we first hired them we were so happy with their service so we recommended them to my parents. They went on to do my parents restroom and it was definately not the same quality as what we had received!! Water was leaking out of the shower so we called them to come look at it and Moe's response before coming to look was we are not plummers. Finally he came out and had some one "come fix it" but guess what it happened again!! Needless to say we call again and once again they are not plummers and now they are wanting my parents to pay to get it repaired!!! Save yourself the headache and look elsewhere. The whole interaction with them was so nightmarish I can't believe they are still in business. I contracted them to lay tile floors on the first level of our vacant house (about 1800sqft). Firstly, the date they gave me was the date that they "pick up" the materials. They actually started the job 4 days later (after a 3-week wait). Secondly, they didn't show up on their scheduled times. I had to call repeatedly to see when they will actually come out. Thirdly, they treated the entire grouting process as an afterthought. During the signing of the contract, they gave me the option of choosing the grout color after the tiles are in place, which I happily took (they also requested that I made an initial selection). But after the tiles were down, no one contacted me about selecting the grout color. So after three days, I took the initiative and went to the store to make the selection. They later accused me of changing my mind on the grout color thereby causing a delay. WTF? When they finally came back to grout, I was so shocked to find that their grout job was very spotty. They simply missed many spots (no grout whatsoever) or have varying levels of grout lines. They basically used only about half of the required amount of grout (so when your foot pressed down, you can feel the gaps grabbing the bottom of your foot). I raised the issue with them and requested that they needed to put more grout all over the floor. I was concerned that they wouldn't do this thoroughly, so I took away my lockbox to make sure that I meet them and watch them do the job. I requested them to call me when they show up, but they didn't and completed the job without my presence. They claimed the backdoor was open (it wasn't, they climbed through a window). The "fix" was unnoticeable as they spot filled some more gaps. I demanded that they come back and do the job properly and thoroughly. They replied that they cannot do the entire floor because it would be a two-day job. Ah-Ha! I expressed to them that that was precisely the problem! They didn't spend two days grouting in the first place. The job was completed in one-afternoon and it showed. At this point, I thought the light bulb came on for them and I would get my resolution. But that didn't happen. Instead, they treated me like an annoyance. All-in-all, they spent about one day for a two-day grouting job. Finally, when they asked for payment, they so rudely expressed to me that if I don't pay within 1-week, they will take me to court and place a lien on my property. With all the interactions I had with them, I never did I once threatened not to pay the balance. So, their little threat was so discourteous and so representative of the way they treated me once I brought the grout issue to their attention. I have never been so happy to pay this company for a shoddy job just to get them out of my life. They also broke my window, smeared grout all over my newly installed cabinets, and left me a present by scattering the spacers all over my garage floor.The pictures shown with here were taken after they came back out to re-grout. read more

This is the second time we have used stay floors. The first time we had our hard wood replaced. The installation process was disruptive. Installation team had to be told not to use electric saw inside our home, with some other minor frustrations. Ultimately we were pleased with price and finished product. We decided to return for new carpet, granite countertops and back splash. Carpet and countertops we are pleased with. Back splash looks awful. Installation team did not seal tile, left a huge mess all over cabinets and floor, did not grout all of tiles, did not reattach microwave to the wall. Left razor blades laying along our front walk. Tiles are uneven and grout is very uneven. When I asked about the finished product the installers were very argumentative towards me and I was very uncomfortable in my own home. A supervisor was our to look at it, more excuses. I simply asked if he would be happy with this in his home? His response was no. I asked him to send a different team to fix it as I did not feel comfortable. No confirmation of when they would be back? They just showed up today no warning, with the same crew! Sadly, We have several more projects that we would like to have done but will not use style floors. read more
