We had our laminate floors replaced in the summer of 2021 and had a very challenging time with the crew they sent to do the job, between mistakes and just leaving a poorly completed job we had to withhold payment for months and have the owner come out twice to get details corrected - transition from hallway to kitchen and cracked kitchen tile that they reluctantly took responsibility for but not without us pushing the issue (and honestly the fix they provided wasn't adequate but we were tired of dealing with them). The two carpet installers did a great job. The price of the installation was very comparable and even lower than other flooring companies. I did not like them leaving the large rolls of carpet in our driveway 4 days before the work was to start- a pre-agreed upon date. We had to help the guy get the carpet off his truck and we tarped it in case of bad weather. read more

They did an incredible job on my hardwood floors, but they tore my couch up moving it. The took off a thousand dollars to get it fixed, they couldn't find anyone to fix it and neither could we. The couch cost five grand to replace, but they no longer make it! So we had to order a new couch and love seat so they'll match. Not cool at all. We went in and they were very helpful. Got a quote for all our rooms minus a closet which we knew would be a little bit more. The quote they gave us was to include padding, labor,installation & taxes. Well they came out the next day and the price was way different from what they told us. The pad,install and taxes were added to the original quote given. The total was well over a $1000 more. They said it was because we didn't include a room on our first quote which was wrong we did include it just not a closet. So we won't be going with them. I had about 1100 square feet of tile that has the wood look. The pricing was more than fair, definitely better than Home Depot and the installation crew was very thorough. Tommy was my sales guy and he worked with me to change the grout at the last minute. My only recommendation is to be liberal on counting bags for leveling, we needed far more than estimated. My wife and I had delayed replacing flooring in the common areas of our home because we were not sure what we wanted and we dreaded the workload of preparing for the installation. We visited KD Floors based on the number of positive reviews. We decided to go with them for several reasons: (1) the sales staff patiently answered our numerous questions and worked with us to select the right flooring for us (engineered hardwood). (2) KD Floors has its own installation crew, so they do not contract out install jobs. and (3) the price was competitive with other locations we had shopped. Once we selected the product, KD Flooring sent an estimator out to take measurements and they provided us an estimate the next day. The estimate included removing 600 sq. ft. of ceramic tile and installing 1200 sq. ft. of engineered wood flooring. We delayed ordering the flooring and scheduling the install for several months due to Covid 19, but scheduled for July and paid 1/2 of the estimate as deposit. The installation crew spoke limited English but were very professional and did an outstanding job. They arrived on time, coordinated with us as necessary, and cleaned up at the end of each day. No complaints, they did an excellent job. The only complaint I have, as constructive criticism, is the lack of follow up by the sales office. After we received the estimate via email, there was no follow-up via phone or email even though we did not call to schedule for several months. I could dismiss this since we received the estimate in early March, just as the Covid 19 issues was flaring up. However, there was not one call during the install to see how things were going, and no call after the installation to ensure we were satisfied; just an emailed invoice for the balance. We are very happy with our new floors, and will use KD Floors again in the future. read more

I wanted to do business in my community so I went to Design Floors in Keller. I got quotes on two different flooring options and sent my husband back to place the order with the printed quote for the flooring I wanted. They ordered the wrong flooring. We got that changed. They said it had to be shipped in and gave me a date it should arrive and said they would call me. No call. I finally called them on Friday afternoon since my tiler was scheduled to come on Monday. The flooring had arrived but I had to drive to two places in Dallas to pick it up before 4:30. Barely made it. Tiler overestimated amount needed. I have 3 full boxes but they won't accept return for less than 5 boxes and charge 30% fee. Bottom line: I could have bought directly from the tile companies I had to go pick it up from in Dallas. Why bother with Design Floor as a middle man when it would have been much easier to deal directly with the companies. Very frustrating experience. read more

What I didn't expect was the owner, John, immediately reaching out and asking us to allow him to make it right. We were hesitant, but decided the offer was too good to refuse. Went into the store today to pick out some tile. I was ready to purchase. I walked in and was literally the only customer. There were two employees sitting behind the desk. I approached them, after they did not greet me, and asked them about tile. They literally pointed to a section of the store and said the tile is over there.They offered NO customer service. They didn't bother to ask questions to determine my needs, they didn't even stand up, they just continued to sit there and visit with each other and did nothing. I browsed for about 15 minutes. Not once did they offer to help or discuss the products. After being ignored, I decided to take my business somewhere else. I will not step foot in that store again, not with that terrible customer service. You would think since I was the only customer there, they would try to make a sell, guess not. read more

I recently had engineered wood flooring installed by Design Floors in Keller. I worked with Tommy Royal getting the estimate and scheduling my installation. I was very pleased with the service I received in the store and also with the pricing. I had had multiple estimates over a few months. The crew that did my installation were efficient, polite and on time every day. They were careful moving my furniture and removing my baseboards. I had been told that if they broke coming off then I would need to purchase new for them to replace. They were able to carefully remove every piece. After they completed the tear out of old flooring including tile and carpet they laid new flooring replaced baseboards and returned my home to normal. Tommy was very patient with me. I ask a lot of questions, which he did a great job answering. After I finally picked my floors, I was there to oversee the installation process. I noticed that there was a problem, in that the wood flooring did not look like the sample board I had seen. After a bit of back and forth with the installer, and a guy they sent out (who at first tried to tell me it was the same as it was on the board, but later realized that it was, in fact different) they let me choose a different floor and they worked with me on the price since it was a little bit more money. My carpet is ok... not holding up quite as well as I would have liked, but then, I did not pick the top of the line carpet. There were a few kitchen tiles that were off in color, but I did not notice this until after they had already been installed. That was a manufacturing defect though, not DF's fault. After they handled the other problem so well, I am sure they would have handled this one well also, but I just never followed up about it.The guys they had actually installing were fantastic. They all did top notch work. I would recommend Design Floors for their quality customer service, above average installation, competitive pricing, and wide variety of selections. read more
