Our food was pretty good! I felt like the bolognese was lacking a bit of flavor but it had plenty of meat. My husband had the special which was chicken Parmesan. He said it was pretty good but had too much sauce on the chicken, but it had good flavor. He also said his pasta sauce was very plain. The wait staff was all nice. We felt it really strange that you had to immediately decide what you want and order like fast food when we were expecting a nice dinner (went for our anniversary on vacation). It didn't feel right tipping them for inputting our order but then they did bring food to us. Was a strange mix of table service and fast food. Fabiani's is a must stop when you're in Maui. Out of all the places I've tried on the island this is one of my favorites and a top choice of mine. I love the fusion of Hawaiian and Italian food. The service was amazing. You order at the register and they'll give you a number to put at a table of your choosing. The staff was really friendly and was making sure everything was okay. I tried the ahi bruschetta and it was delicious! My favorite is probably the margherita pizza. Their crust is delicious as well. I would recommend take advantage of happy hour as all pizzas are half off! Definitely a must go read more

Not the same Fabiani's we remember. Last night we had the "The Green One" salad and the Chicken Parmesan "special." The salad was terribly over dressed and looked like it had been made in a pillow case. The chicken was overcooked and flavorless with a smear of sweet marinara and congealed cheese. The pasta underneath was chopped into small pieces and tossed with the unseasoned sauce (reminiscent of what you'd feed to a toddler). So disappointed after years of lovely food here. Outdoor area was a disaster... dirty chairs and food on the ground. The only saving grace was the white sangria and spritz Classico. Staff are working so hard and are being stretched way too thin. Meh..it wasn't the best pizza I've had. We ordered 3 pizzas for pick up to take back to our condo while on a lil vacay. My friend called in so it would be ready when we arrived. Pulling up to the restaurant, it had adequate parking. It wasn't busy at all but there were some patrons dining inside. They had our pizza ready to go, friend paid around $45 (kinda pricey for what it was) and we bounced. They also sell desserts and you can take them to go, too. I saw macarons but resisted, as we had a lot of sweet stuff over the last few days. It was a short drive to where we were staying but by the time we arrived, they just weren't hot anymore. =/ They were pretty small. I'd say about 12 maybe 14 inches each. I didn't even take pics because they were dried out. They tasted alright but these pizzas are definitely the kind you have to eat as soon as you get them. The crust was very thin, too. I wasn't a fan of it but like I said, it tasted ok. Wish we had dined in. Probably would have had a better experience as far as taste. I would say the best tasting one was the one that had the prosciutto and arugula on it (the "Lorenzo"...also had the Margherita and I forgot what the last one was). I'd give them another shot if I'm ever back there again. Would definitely try other things on their menu and give their pizzas another chance while dining in next time. read more

It's seat yourself here so we sat down at a round table outside. The sign said the table is for 5 people and we were 4. I thought it would be fine but a guy ran out and said that it for a large party. So we got up and sat inside because the tables for 4 have very uncomfortable chairs. We sat inside and the two round tables for 5 were empty the entire time we were there. We come here pretty often and we never see those 2 round tables both occupied. I love to come here because I think their pizza is the best in Kihei and the closest pizza to the pizza I had in Italy. My daughter ordered the pasta special with shrimp and asparagus with creamy pesto linguine. She was expecting a larger shrimp. It was more of a bay shrimp in size and it was not even warm. I did think it was not personal then!... you enter then establishment, no more waitresses to take your order. You look at the menu ( while others are breathing down your neck HURRY) order at the counter or go to a table sit decide, get up then back to the end of the line that formed to place your order. Only to be served your food without fanfare, no return visits by any staff with How is your meal glad you like it can I get you anything else you have to hold up your empty glass to get someone finally to notice you are out of water. I so wanted to give a 5 star but can't. The staff was friendly and ambiance was fine but we went for the Pizza. The crust was a perfect thin crust. The flavor was good. But toppings were very meager. The cheese was a thin lattice. The mushrooms and spinach were on the few side of ok and the homemade meatballs were less than 1 per slice. Our last night in Kihei and we were craving pizza so this Italian restaurant was recommended by a couple locals. You order and pay at the front counter before taking a seat and then the waitress brings you the food. We ordered the Caesar salad and caprese pizza which was their special of the evening. Meal was exactly what I wanted although I kind of wish I had ordered a pasta dish as well because they looked amazing and I was still a little hungry when we left. Pizza is NY style so thin sliced. The tiramisu was excellent. The gentleman at the front counter wasn't the most friendly but all the busboys and wait staff were great and more than made up for his lack of personality. We came for just something sweet. The chocolate crumble cookie was the only thing that was decently fresh. The cannoli was awful and dry and was completely separated from the shell. The shell was soggy and not crunchy at all. The macaroons were dry and just fell apart. It was 30$ plus too. Not cheap at all. Don't mind paying if it would have been fresh! I almost never ever write a review but I can't go without making a comment about my experience today with the staff- food was good so two stars but wait staff not great at all. If you are visiting Maui and you don't care about service and how they treat you then my experience won't bother you but for those that do care- please read on. The service wasn't that great so I guess you get what you pay for. We ordered appetizers and entrees and prepaid for everything at the counter and gave a 20% tip. Little did we know what cr@ppy service we would get from the staff. They never came to check on us after serving the food or came to ask us if we needed anything like a refill or anything else. Even though we said excuse me and waved help for the wait staff they didn't respond AND the restaurant wasn't even full since we came in early. After 12 minutes when we finally got fed up we went to the counter and asked the wait staff repeatedly for to go boxes they said we are busy I'll come by later with them, we came back up again and finally someone gave us to go containers. We were a decently sized table of 6 people so you would think they would at minimum check on us once or twice. Other tables had 2 or 3 patrons at the table and they treated the local patrons with attention and ignored us even though we made eye contact and they kept walking away. It's so frustrating when you're out with your family having a meal and the service sucks and you tip 20% in advance. I have no idea how they got such great Yelp reviews and such a good Star rating but again the food was fine but we could have been treated better. read more

Fresh simple ingredients yet delicious! My son has an egg allergy and we were happy to find out their pizza dough is real and eggless. We ordered the Hawaiian and Margarita. Absolutely loved the Rueben pizza. It tasted amazing. We also went to the desert case twice on our trip. The server was awesome enough to put some Happy Birthday chocolates on them and give us a candle too, when I told her it was our birthday cake surprise! Sorry but we need to give a low rating for being ridiculous.....they promote a "Happy Hour" between 3 and 5 PM...but this is only good if you are actually sitting down at the bar...now the bar is NOT a separate room or place but right smack dab in the middle with tables inches away but if the bar stools are all full then no Happy Hour.....maybe they should rename "sad hour" or perhaps "totally lame hour". This is so lame, the staff were not the least concerned to see 3 of us walk out and not spend a single dime, I suspect this is so common that they are immune to how bizarre this is...if it was a huge bar with tables as well as a counter but the bar stools are quite limited. We own two condos a block away that we rent out to tourists and we have a loose leaf binder where we put restaurant and other info for our guests and Fabiani's was in our books with nice comments by us.....forget it, we were going to just remove the page but then decided to instead write "Try someplace else, not worth our business" read more

The place only does happy hour at the bar but doesn't have enough seats to accommodate everyone. The food expediter told me there have been arguments over bar seats. Why not just expand happy hour to the whole dining area there weren't that many tables. There were only two people working and it seemed like they were a bit stressed. The man could barely keep up with the phone calls and the stream if food coming out. Was told to come here because they had the best pizza on the island. I find that hard to believe. The food was okay pizza had a crispy crust but was kinda floppy still. We got the maui meaty. The pizza was half price during happy hour so was only 9 instead of 18. Which was nice. For the last however many years i have patroned this establishment i have always been able to add Ricotta cheese to my dinner options, now magically an "Italian Restaurant" does not have ricotta cheese. As someone of Italian heritage i find this ridiculous and unheard of. We started with the Margherita pizza was very good (just be aware it is very very thin and works good as an appetizer but probably not for a meal we'd had it before so knew what to expect) the house salad was good with just the right amount of sweet dressing on it.
