We had the garlic bread with cheese and tomato sauce Not much garlic flavor lots of cheese but a little under cooked not golden on top tomato sauce was good. Meat LASAGNA very average mix of beef and sausage ground fine no white sauce or veggies I could taste. Meatball sandwich 3 pork based meatballs cheese and tomato sauce some pepper or mushrooms or Would have rounded out the sandwich, was A Ok served a small green salad again bit under cooked for my taste. Outdoor seating kind of reminded me of a food court or food truck type seating area not bad but nothing special for a restaurant. Indoor seating looks much nicer The restaurant has came highly recommended, but it did not meet. It's word-of-mouth expectations. I think one thing that could help is if staff actually checked if you were happy with the food after they brought it to you, but since they have their money ,I guess it's up to you to raise concerns. Their special of the has never been spectacular for example linguine with chicken Parmesan was dry and marinara sauce was very tart and lacking! Best thing on the menu is the Oso Bucco! It is tender and perfect, served with gravy and sides. Every time I've had it it has been a swooner. I don't think any other restaurant in the area offers this as a main dish. You should try it if you are a "foodie" like me! read more

We have enjoyed numerous dining experiences at Fabiani's and have always had a 5-star experience, from excellent food quality to the friendly staff. However, Wednesday (2/26/2025) was different. Something has changed, and not for the better. Although the restaurant was not super busy and the staff remained friendly and attentive, there was an element of dysfunction in the air. It took longer than usual for our meal to be served, despite it not being a complicated order. The Margherita Pizza, which I always enjoy, was doughy in the middle and overcooked on the crust. Whatever has gone astray, I hope they get if fixed soon. The Kihei location is convenient and has adequate parking and the overall ambiance is clean and neat. Hopefully our Wednesday dining experience was a one-off and they will be back to their 5-Star ways in no time, but it was enough of a departure to be noted. read more

I called in a phone order for takeout at Fabiani's today. I wanted the Fettuccine Alfredo with mushrooms and their Red Velvet Cake. I arrived in the 20 minutes that my order would be ready, drove the 0.9 mile to my home and after taking a picture, tried the Fettuccine Alfredo. It wasn't right. There was some buttery coating on the pasta, but not what I recognize as alfredo. The takeout container would have soaked up any liquid it came in contact with, but there was a piece of wax paper to prevent that from happening. I dug around, hoping to find some creamy alfredo sauce, but there wasn't any to be found. I've had this entre many times at many restaurants and I'm surprised that Fabiani's let me down. I wasn't expecting a lot, but there should have been something there. Anyway, the mushrooms were good and the parmesan cheese, grated on top, was nice. The Red Velvet Cake was delicious. Two layers of red velvet with a layer of cheesecake in the middle. The whole thing was dipped in chocolate and topped with a buttery cream and a few crunchy sprinkles. Came here recently while on vacation and it was delicious! I had a gluten free, vegan pizza which was cooked perfectly and very tasty! The service was very speedy, you order up at the counter and they bring it over to your table. We sat in the outside patio which was quiet and relaxing. Fabiani's is a must stop when you're in Maui. Out of all the places I've tried on the island this is one of my favorites and a top choice of mine. I love the fusion of Hawaiian and Italian food. The service was amazing. You order at the register and they'll give you a number to put at a table of your choosing. The staff was really friendly and was making sure everything was okay. I tried the ahi bruschetta and it was delicious! My favorite is probably the margherita pizza. Their crust is delicious as well. I would recommend take advantage of happy hour as all pizzas are half off! Definitely a must go read more

Meh..it wasn't the best pizza I've had. We ordered 3 pizzas for pick up to take back to our condo while on a lil vacay. My friend called in so it would be ready when we arrived. Pulling up to the restaurant, it had adequate parking. It wasn't busy at all but there were some patrons dining inside. They had our pizza ready to go, friend paid around $45 (kinda pricey for what it was) and we bounced. They also sell desserts and you can take them to go, too. I saw macarons but resisted, as we had a lot of sweet stuff over the last few days. It was a short drive to where we were staying but by the time we arrived, they just weren't hot anymore. =/ They were pretty small. I'd say about 12 maybe 14 inches each. I didn't even take pics because they were dried out. They tasted alright but these pizzas are definitely the kind you have to eat as soon as you get them. The crust was very thin, too. I wasn't a fan of it but like I said, it tasted ok. Wish we had dined in. Probably would have had a better experience as far as taste. I would say the best tasting one was the one that had the prosciutto and arugula on it (the "Lorenzo"...also had the Margherita and I forgot what the last one was). I'd give them another shot if I'm ever back there again. Would definitely try other things on their menu and give their pizzas another chance while dining in next time. read more

Absolutely loved the Rueben pizza. It tasted amazing. We also went to the desert case twice on our trip. The server was awesome enough to put some Happy Birthday chocolates on them and give us a candle too, when I told her it was our birthday cake surprise! I loved the lilikoi bar and the red velvet cake was the most delicious cake I have ever had. Unbelievable. Wish I had another bite right now. Our food was pretty good! I felt like the bolognese was lacking a bit of flavor but it had plenty of meat. My husband had the special which was chicken Parmesan. He said it was pretty good but had too much sauce on the chicken, but it had good flavor. He also said his pasta sauce was very plain. The wait staff was all nice. We felt it really strange that you had to immediately decide what you want and order like fast food when we were expecting a nice dinner (went for our anniversary on vacation). It's seat yourself here so we sat down at a round table outside. The sign said the table is for 5 people and we were 4. I thought it would be fine but a guy ran out and said that it for a large party. So we got up and sat inside because the tables for 4 have very uncomfortable chairs. We sat inside and the two round tables for 5 were empty the entire time we were there. We come here pretty often and we never see those 2 round tables both occupied. I love to come here because I think their pizza is the best in Kihei and the closest pizza to the pizza I had in Italy. My daughter ordered the pasta special with shrimp and asparagus with creamy pesto linguine. She was expecting a larger shrimp. It was more of a bay shrimp in size and it was not even warm. Not the same Fabiani's we remember. Last night we had the "The Green One" salad and the Chicken Parmesan "special." The salad was terribly over dressed and looked like it had been made in a pillow case. The chicken was overcooked and flavorless with a smear of sweet marinara and congealed cheese. The pasta underneath was chopped into small pieces and tossed with the unseasoned sauce (reminiscent of what you'd feed to a toddler). So disappointed after years of lovely food here. Outdoor area was a disaster... dirty chairs and food on the ground. The only saving grace was the white sangria and spritz Classico. Staff are working so hard and are being stretched way too thin. Great pizza and we are from Chicago, pizza is big with us! We loved the casual atmosphere. Ordered inside then moved outside with drinks while waiting for staff to deliver food order. It was different for us but not a bad experience. Great crust and very good sauce on the pizza. I ordered the Penne Pasta and it was so creamy with great flavor. Our last night in Kihei and we were craving pizza so this Italian restaurant was recommended by a couple locals. You order and pay at the front counter before taking a seat and then the waitress brings you the food. We ordered the Caesar salad and caprese pizza which was their special of the evening. Meal was exactly what I wanted although I kind of wish I had ordered a pasta dish as well because they looked amazing and I was still a little hungry when we left. Pizza is NY style so thin sliced. The tiramisu was excellent. The gentleman at the front counter wasn't the most friendly but all the busboys and wait staff were great and more than made up for his lack of personality. I did think it was not personal then!... you enter then establishment, no more waitresses to take your order. You look at the menu ( while others are breathing down your neck HURRY) order at the counter or go to a table sit decide, get up then back to the end of the line that formed to place your order. Only to be served your food without fanfare, no return visits by any staff with How is your meal glad you like it can I get you anything else you have to hold up your empty glass to get someone finally to notice you are out of water. Much like my dog did when her food bowl was empty, carry it to the couch and drop it at my feet. Then you get up and leave no, thank you! no, come again! We came for just something sweet. The chocolate crumble cookie was the only thing that was decently fresh. The cannoli was awful and dry and was completely separated from the shell. The shell was soggy and not crunchy at all. The macaroons were dry and just fell apart. It was 30$ plus too. Not cheap at all. Don't mind paying if it would have been fresh!
