Bratwurst Platter Wiener Schnitzel

This place is awesome! Brigit is very sweet. All of the food is great. My suggestions you come here are to 1) not be in a rush, the service is on the slower side 2) get a draft beer because bottles are still served in a nice cold stein but only fill it halfway 3) I wish the sides were a little more. The gratin potatoes and the sauerkraut were pretty small portions but still yummy nonetheless. And you can't beat the lovely outdoor environment! I will certainly be back!

Such a great venue. The outdoor seating area is nice on a sunny day, but we were there on a rainy day, so we had to eat inside. The food was excellent and left me wanting to try other dishes. My daughter got a salad and really enjoyed it. Will definitely go back again for lunch.

I suggest reservations as this place can get really busy with large parties. Indoor outdoor seating. I prefer outdoors. Small parking lot corner street side eatery. Large tree in the center of the outside patio. The lamb souflakki is a favorite for us as is their roastie. Other plates ordered are the Hungarian goulash soup of the day, and Greek salad. The lamb was slightly overcooked and not spot on as usual. We usually go here few times a year.

My dad's been coming here to go to their Oktoberfest since 2013. Swung by for a light snack. Had the crab cakes & calamari. Dad had draft Oktoberfest beer & I did a soda. Sat outside in the quaint garden area. Really enjoyed our waitress, Elise, who provided great service and could talk story. Will be back again.

Their food was amazing! Nestled in Kahului, their staff are super friendly, and they have a perfect garden outdoor dining section with lights that's really nice. My favorite is the Carbonara - it really felt loaded and had bacon and mushrooms - left feeling super satisfied! - Miguel Morales Photography

I went here for a quick lunch split. Had seating inside hut more on the outside. It was definitely hard getting service because only one person was working and she wouldn't come outside (where I sat and other people). I got eh ravioli and it reminded me of the pack from costco. It was decent and it had different shapes of ravioli which was interesting. It was a very big portion so I recommend shading. I shared the marinara one with my family too and it was decent as well, nothing too crazy.

We chose to dine in the garden area. Food, service and ambiance on point! We will back again.

Wham! Greek Lamb Soufflaki Santorini (Lamb Kebabs) with Greek salad and rosemary, roasted potatoes

We came here for the first time in a couple of years and it still is a fantastic hidden gem of a restaurant with outdoor dining area, friendly service, and amazingly European style food here in Maui. I had a Greek when plate with a Greek salad and roasted potatoes very tasty my partner hat and the chicken cordon bleu, which is really very good which is signature dish. They have a limited cocktail bar and they were able to make me an old fashion which I liked. They had a strawberries and Grand Marnier with vanilla ice cream that was very tasty. Overall a nice restaurant and a nice experience.

Maybe you've been to Maui a few times or on your current stay you're looking to counter the abundant seafood and salad fare with, say, Bavarian cuisine. Yelp and Guy Fieri steer you to Brigit and Bernard's for some hearty meats and rich gravies. We finally made a point to see what all the fuss was about. We made reservations for a table for four. As expected, the place is on the corner of one of many large warehouses in the Maui industrial area near the port and airport. A large overgrown plumeria tree blocks the entrance. You find that the interior of the restaurant is now used for storage and is a museum to Guy's visits and the chef's European heritage. Seems we didn't need a reservation as only 5 of the seventeen outdoor tables/booths were in use. The one and only sparky waitress darted from table to table to kitchen like a game show contestant racing against a clock. In fact, she handed us the menus and told us our table was "on the other side of that big plant". Yes, water is a sealed plastic bottle. Ice in a cup if you ask. Stella A was the only remaining beer available. The wine list seemed more like words on the back of the menu. I am sure I'd have to uncork my own bottle. A well poured house Merlot would have to do. There is no ambience here. Tarps and come along strapping is the outdoor cover along with faded umbrellas with brand names. We sat near the exit door to the kitchen and it wouldn't stay latched. Warehouse workers headed to their cars in the adjacent parking lot. An island country station played on the one poorly mounted speaker. Leaves gathered under the tables and manhole covers were obvious on the sidewalk that is the dining room floor. Sigh. But the food is good. The blue cheese salad was large and delicious. Blue cheese dominated the plate. The Hungarian goulash soup sold out at lunch. Bummer. I heard it was great. The sauerbraten, spatezle and red cabbage ($28) was delicious and filling. A plate of Huntersteak ($26) was a hearty pork tenderloin, tender and smothered with mushroom herb gravy with spaetzle and red cabbage. Enough for two leftover meals. The pork Zeuri Gschnetzlets ($29) featured an overly salted Roesti potato- a six inch hash brown and vegetable du jour. In short, the food was what you'd expect from a German kitchen. It didn't disappoint. We closed out our meals with two servings of apple strudel with vanilla sauce ($8.50). Definitely homemade. Dotted with raisins under a thin sheet of dough and lightly sauced and not overly sweet. Very good. B & B's describes their cafe as "European cuisine with an island flair". Certainly it's European cuisine. But the ambiance does a disservice to Maui's island flair.

You wouldn't think there is a Ono tasting German / Italian/ European restaurant hidden here. We sat outside under the umbrellas and it was a pleasant lunch. Service was quick and courteous. You could easily see the food being served at an Italian restaurant in a hotel or popular expensive white table clothed restaurant.

Beer-battered in house and come with chipotle mayo dipping sauce, fried & light, not overly greasy, good with them using sweet Maui onions! Brother wasn't too hungry, so he ended up getting a Wedge Salad (LOL) but with extra bacon. Looked good too! Mom & wifey shared the Turkey Club - that was a BIG @$$ sandwich! Roast turkey breast with Applewood smoked bacon, mayo, lettuce and tomato between 3 slices of thick rye bread! Buggah was stacked! They both liked it, lean turkey with the fatty bacon, and the texture contrast of the fresh veggies made it tasty! My Beef & Pork Burger was a test to my cholesterol levels LOL! Near 1/2 pound burger made with ground chuck, cooked medium rare and topped with a pile of house roasted Kalua pork, lettuce, tomato, onion, crispy fried onions and BBQ sauce...was indeed a tower of a burger! Was pretty damn ono too! Burger got good char from the grill, and the kalua pork was flavorful and not dry at all. This burger didn't need a slice of cheese at all! Delicious! Maybe on our next time to Ale House we'll actually get some beers! Their daily Happy Hour specials sure are tempting!

We've been coming here for years and I've always enjoyed my experiences here, but last night I had a dish that compelled me to write a review. The oxtail soup which is listed as a favorite is a dish I've been eyeing for a while, but it's usually been too warm for me to crave it. But last night was the night. I'm getting over a cold and it's been raining off and on for weeks. The bowl arrived at the table with a plate underneath - smart move because it takes some work to eat oxtail soup. Armed with my fork and spoon, I went at it. The first taste floored me. It was perfectly seasoned and I could taste the fresh ginger, the broth was a beautiful brown color, there was plenty of napa cabbage and it came with a dish of a scoop of glossy steamed rice and steamed carrots, zucchini and broccoli. Our waitress offered to bring over condiments so I went for the soy sauce - sprinkled on the rice and veggies, I noticed that the veggies might have had a little sesame oil flavor on them so that made me happy. A spoonful of rice dunked into the broth with some of the tender fall of the bone oxtail meat, and a little crunch of the napa cabbage and I was in absolute heaven. I tasted my husband's pork adobo and that was equally as delicious as always. But that soup - that's what really did it for me last night and stays with me today. I walked out of Tante's with a swollen and happy belly and a fresh, tiny piece of ginger stuck between my teeth...a treat for later.

After getting back to our room I realized it was an ice cream cake so even as full as I was I tried to eat some cake before it all melted. The had the place decorated all up for Christmas. The lady that waited on us was super nice and kept our drinks filled. I love that attention.

Everything on the menu is served all day except the breakfast so of course we had to come back. Staff is amazing and so friendly. They were great at explaining the menu and our options. I do have to mention that the breakfast staff was more on it with the water. The food was pretty standard for breakfast. After my cousins egg white omlette came, I wanted that. It looked so good. The mushroom omlette that I ordered was okay. It could have been better. The eggs were not fluffy but hard and overall a little tasteless. Maybe adding some garlic or garlic salt as I dont really care for ketchup on my mushrooms. The bacon & cheese saved the omlette and it was funny that I ordered light cheese and got a whole lot of it! It was good after adding salt and pepper. I dont recommend ordering the Lebowski unless you have a light appetite. It only gives 2 peices of meat. A little sad there was no fried rice. Overall, staff was great, food was good and the restaurant is very bright and open. Maybe I'll order my usual next time (Eggs Benedict). I'm rarely disappointed with that.

The waitress said I wasn't her only upset guest. I was celebrating so I wasn't going to have an UNhappy birthday so I ordered it and was NOT disappointed. The portions were pretty big, barely enough for two people but enough for 1 large appetite. The 4oz. Ahi was seared, the medium sized lobster tail, 5 scallops, and 3 large shrimp were all grilled and came with a butter/sage dip. Excellent sides included saffron rice and fresh asparagus!
