Falafel, Whipped Bulgarian Feta, Fire-Roasted Eggplant, Bread, and Yellowfin Crudo
    Angelica L.

Overall: 4.3/5 [dine in] We came on the Sunday after Valentine's Day for dinner and were lucky to snag an 8 PM reservation, since every other restaurant we called had a 1+ hour wait. The cocktails and appetizers came out in a reasonable amount of time, but the entrees took a while. They served us complimentary bread, which was perfect for pairing with the dips, though I found it a bit too thick for my taste. Service was great throughout the night and the place had a unique vibe as well. Falafel ($13): Four huge falafel, perfectly crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. Delicious and warm, and even better with the tahini, amba, and green schug sauce. Fire-Roasted Eggplant ($13): Yummy on its own, but I'm not sure it's worth $13. Whipped Bulgarian Feta ($13): The favorite of the table and an absolute standout. Pairs perfectly with the bread. Yellowfin Crudo ($18): The pomegranate flavor tasted artificial and the fish was just alright. Skip this one. Merguez NY Strip ($38): Delicious and far better than the chicken shawarma. Tender meat cooked to perfection, and the pairing with grapes was genius. Chicken Shawarma ($28): Apparently one of their most popular entrées, but it wasn't our favorite. It's served deconstructed, so you have to cut the chicken off a mini skewer yourself and build your own wrap. Lots of spices, but the flavors weren't the most memorable of the night. With so many plates on the table, it also made the whole process a bit awkward. I would have preferred it served as individual mini versions instead. Moroccan Marg ($16): Tequila, hibiscus, pomegranate, Licor 43, orange blossom, and lemon. Pretty good and easy to drink.

I really don't understand the hype and so many positive reviews for this place!! I came across their Galentines day brunch thing on insta, me and my friends were thinking of trying this place, so made reservations for it. If it's for just food, I would've given 1star but service was good, so 2stars. We dint needed reservations at all, we came at 11:30, only 30%was occupied, that should've been our first clue, and there was one cheap decor on one of there wall for Galentine's day, that should've been our second clue, but we still decided to try them out because I regularly go to E&R(one of my faves), and it's I think ezov is owned by same people or company, that got me fooled. I ordered hummus, pita and falafel, that's my standard order at Mediterranean restaurant, and none of them were good, falafel looked good, but they had added so much herbs, and I'm some one who loves and regularly uses herbs in cooking, but this one, it was so overwhelming and you get big stems in between, and they have not added any other spices to balance the herbs, it was in edible. Hummus, it dint had no flavor at all, I've never tasted such bland tasteless hummus, like not even seasoned with basic salt, the only thing those chickpeas tasted was sourness. Pita, well it tasted more like hamburger bun than pita. I ordered Dubai or don't, it's like espresso martini, it tasted good, but they served in mini cocktail glass and its was 50%drink 30%foam and 20%empty cup, basically 1/3rd of how much other places serve. Overall, you want to eat Mediterranean but it should be totally bland or if you like food to look good to post on social media, then this is the place, if not skip it.

Quite an interesting place with a pleasant interior and an unusual presentation of the dishes. Many of the plates don't really match the traditional or expected way those dishes are usually served. The hummus was tasty, and the meat was quite juicy. Our server messed up the order a bit, it seemed like he either forgot or something went wrong, because we waited for a long time and had to ask twice. In the end, one dish that was supposed to be a starter arrived more than an hour later. Overall, the experience was still pleasant, but the prices are above average. If you want to feel full, you'll probably need to order two or three dishes. We also tried the cocktails, interesting and unusual flavors, but not really something classic that would appeal to everyone.

not sure what this was but it was beef, i think its new on their menu? It was flavorful and tender, delicious but i wasn't fully wow'ed

Such as amazing dinner! Would highly recommend the seared octopus, such a unique flavor. Our server was great and very attentive. All our courses were fantastic but the focaccia that came with the feta was a little too garlicky and masked the feta flavor, but still a tasty combo.

This place was cool, a good spot for a date night or group dinner! The inside is a vibe and I loved the decor. Food was fantastic! Whipped feta was a highlight. Our waiter was helpful and knowledgeable about GF. Editing to add: the carrots were a bit undercooked, they tasted better as leftovers microwaved. Also, the knives provided were so dull we couldn't cut the wagyu (or the carrots for that matter)

The food, the atmosphere, the host and waitstaff were phenomenal. Highly, highly, highly recommend! Our waiter, Anthony, went above and beyond to ensure we had an amazing experience for our first time at Ezov. The meat was perfectly cooked, seasoned with the best sauce and tomato salad. The schnitzel was light, airy and perfectly combined with the sauce and toppings. The egg cooked in the falafel was the most beautiful presentation. The Turkish coffee cake was the best coffee cake I've ever had in my life. Thank you, Anthony for the suggestion. A must to go and try all of the menu!

We went for my wife's birthday. We ordered a lot of things, so unfortunately I can't speak to each item. Service was very attentive, kind, and informative. We had a few vegetarians with us and there were quite a few options for them. We had a reservation and we were immediately sat, which is always nice. They have some interesting cocktail choices. The falafel was by far the best I've ever had. Falafel always seems to be dry and this one was NOT. Kudos! The lamb shank was the best dish I ate. I definitely recommend it. The whipped feta was delicious. The fig revani cake was a good choice. I think we'd come back for another special occasion.

Kanpachi Crudo (18). pistachio, pomegranate, orange blossom. Yum!

Honestly, this place was not on my radar at all. But friends recommended it, so off we went. Complimentary valet parking in their private lot. Great service from host as you enter, and cool "hip" vibe inside. They do offer a decent amount of outdoor seating on their front porch. We had reservations and were seated quickly. Service was fast and friendly. The menu has a lot of options. We ordered an assortment of dishes. Some of the highlights for me included: whipped feta with bread, smashed cucumbers, beef kebab. And the two desserts we shared (Baklava apple pie and Krembo) were amazing. Will be back to try more!

I love love love this restaurant. The food is very good and everything tastes so fresh. Staff was super friendly and welcoming, definitely hoping to be back with my family. Every dish we tried was 10/10, the only thing that was not my favorite was the Baklava Sundae 4/10. It didn't do much for me and it was a very simple flavor in my opinion and I couldn't not finish it. It was the only thing I left, but worth a try if you're into a dish with this flavor Their hummus is a must try, their bread is so fresh! Will be back soon! :)

First time dining at Ezov and we had a good time. I was in love with Pitch Fork Pretty and was beyond sad when they closed their doors so I hope the vibe continues at Ezov. For a table of 4 we shared the following: Hummus with warm blue crab-it was interesting; definitely not your traditional hummus. It had alot of crab and it was a tad fishy. Whipped Bulgarian feta-amazing! Kanpachi crudo-delicious Smashed cucumber and smoked labne-creamy and delicious. I liked the bread, but then later, I was wishing for a traditional flat bread Falafel-perfect Seared octopus-cooked to perfection and the spices were great Chicken shawarma-the presentation was cool and different, but I have had better Wagyu beef kabob-apparently was a huge hit Baklava sundae-so good! I almost ate the entire dessert by myself! Seasonal peach pie-I love peach pie, but this was not my favorite. All in all, Ezov is good. The service was amazing! However, I absolutely love Peacock and Aba when it comes to mediterranean restaurants in Austin.

Food was good. Nice ambiance. Not too crowded for brunch on Sunday at noon. Service was a little slow. Overall, good place for brunch.

The best thing we ordered was the lamb and beef manti. Absolutely spectacular. The 2nd best was the whipped feta- the honey added just the right of sweetness to keep me coming back the entire meal... even when full as could be The server was so friendly and had great recommendations for what to order. We've tried other restaurants owned by the same restauranteurs in San Antonio and this one takes the cake! Would highly recommend.

I felt the vibe instantly, like as soon as I put one foot in the door. Magical, sophisticated, worldly, wonderful and more were the feelings that spontaneously hit me. The dark and elegant decor, lighting, design, & layout made me feel as though I were in a high-end Tokyo cocktail lounge. The front room as I mentioned is an intimate bar and lounge area with artwork adorning the walls. It's a modern, minimalist, and sleek space. The artwork is ever-changing (every couple of months or so) and the cocktail menu changes right long with it. Note: artwork is available for purchase. What an absolutely glorious way of combining different mediums (liquid art vs physical art). The craft cocktails & mocktails are the epitome of works of art. I've had great cocktails and mocktails elsewhere but honestly I'd be hard pressed to find anything on this level. You're taken into an entirely different realm just watching the genius of mixologists. It's mesmerizing watching them hone their craft. In the back of the lounge is an enclave of eclectic art and other pieces that then leads you to Konbini, the sushi bar. It's an industrial, warehouse vibe with a long counter that screams hip, Tokyo inspired, late-night eatery. Service is impeccable and welcoming at this cosmopolitan venue. The bartender claimed I was drunk and cut me off anyway. I was at the bar talking to a girl while waiting to get a drink (the wait was long because the service is very slow, despite the bar not being very busy at all). She was clearly into me, and the bartender kept jumping in trying to talk to her too (instead of doing his job making drinks). He was doing all sorts of things to try and flirt with her and make her laugh: pulling out and showing her buckets of pre mixed cocktails, running and sliding under the bar, etc. She was engaging with both of us , and right in the middle of that, I get cut off out of nowhere. No explanation other than claiming I looked drunk, which I very clearly wasn't. It felt very clear what was going on--he wanted me out of the way. I left and asked the bouncer on my way out if I seemed drunk. This was literally two minutes later. He said no, not at all, and asked me why I would even ask that. I then told him exactly what happened and asked him to let the owner or whoever was in charge know about this extremely unprofessional conduct so they can discipline the bartender. His response was that the bartender has discretion to cut anyone off, and let me know the bartender is supposedly married so he couldn't have been flirting with any of the customers. Well, sounds like his logic is flawed--not only COULD he flirt with his customers, he WAS, and was therefore cheating. I hope his wife finds out. This is perfectly representative of Austin customer service lately and not normal in other places. I was in Tampa for an entire month earlier this year and this would've been unthinkable there. After finally being greeted, we were told our section wasn't ready, the other party hadn't left yet. The server / hostess seemed frazzled and kept running around trying to get us a section and talking to people about leaving. We stood there waiting for about 30 minutes. Then we were finally seated in a section barely big enough for 6, we were crammed in like sardines, sweatin. We asked the parties next to us if they could push over a bit so we all could fit, luckily they were friendly and accommodating. We were greeted not too long after being seated, Our order was taken by the first server, It took about 30 minutes for drinks and food to start to come out.
