Dr. Jaime Gonzalez is a FRAUD!! Still haven't heard back a follow up or issued a REFUND! Since 2/9/23 Went back to this location after Covid and still received the same treatment. Over booked and waited past my entire appointment time to be called back. He sold us a FAKE bottle of Oasis eye lubrication drops that was sold specifically as " medication preservative free" for $27 this bottle was falsely sold with incorrect labeling and a STICKER labeled on the front packaged as "medication "!!!! I went to 3 different eye doctors and they all told me the box is fake, falsely labeled, and basic lubricant that is not even preservative free! The active ingredient is Glycerin nothing more. My Dr. Associates called him unethical and advised me to report him to the state! Then he sold us another overpriced bottle of prednisone that could "only be bought in his store and not written out as a prescription" another lie according to other eye doctors. When I even asked him about the difference in pill form and active ingredients in all the boxes and drops , he simply walked away and left the shrugging shoulders to his staff. I don't know?!! Is what they said and assured us that only he has the medication in his store. I even found this medication available on Amazon and other places preservative free. Lied right to my face and walked off. This doesn't even match the over priced frames that been there for years. They quoted my husbands lenses with insurance $ 1000 additional out of pocket! Using his lab just for lenses. Anywhere else is $130-$300 with insurance for all the bells and whistles. BEWARE OF THIS PLACE . DR JAIME GONZALEZ IS A FRAUD AND SCAMMER!!! read more

Summary: Great staff but DO NOT USE their online scheduling system! Call them for an appointment instead as the online scheduling is not reliable and will lead to canceled appointments! The staff and the optometrists are all great. I liked Dr. Gonzalez' bedside manner and found his explanations thorough and helpful. The receptionists were all very nice as well. The only reason for the 3 star rating is that this location claims to offer online scheduling via their website, but it is non-functional. It's run via a third-party website and it is not integrated into whatever scheduling system they actually use in the office. So when you "schedule" an appointment online, what you're actually doing is submitting a *request* for an appointment to this third-party site, which then is supposed to send it to the EyePieces office via email for approval. None of the "availabilities" shown online are even remotely accurate because it doesn't take into account appointments that were already scheduled over the phone or in the office. IF the slot you requested happens to be available (no guarantees), then the receptionists have to manually enter it into the actual EyePieces scheduling system just like they would if you had called them instead. The third-party website did not seem to be reliably sending them notifications of requests for new appointments either. I submitted 2 requests, then showed up the next day for my appointments only for the desk staff to tell me they hadn't received anything from the online scheduling system. I submitted a new appointment request online while I was standing right in front of them, and they never received notification of that either. I had to reschedule for a week later because the doctor hadn't known about my online appointment so he left early for the day. read more

I originally came in to get a new rx for glasses. I wasn't expecting much. I've had complicated eye issues and moved from a different state. It was 2 years since my last exam, so it was time. Everyone was welcoming and kind. Right after Dr. Gonzales walked in and introduced himself, I explained the health issues with my eyes and what my ophthalmologists have been trying to treat. He did a thorough exam and surprisingly found another issue that two ophthalmologists didn't find. Surprisingly, he's treated patients with the same issues and gave me some options that were never mentioned to me by other doctors. I have been a patient at Eye Pieces for years and was recently accommodated at this office location because a vision concern of mine needed different instrumentation to provide for a full evaluation of the symptoms. As a former health care provider and former business owner I view an office like this differently than many patients. The owners are dedicated to the patients and patient experience, are very knowledgeable and committed to their practice, team and community. I have seen Dr. Nguyen for over 10 years. She has proven brilliant identifying changes and reasons for symptoms. My most recent and even more positive experience has been with Dr. Chris. If you are lucky enough to have the time with him to hear his story, it is remarkable, and speaks to the type of people that own this office, the type of provider Dr. Chris. He is the most patient, positive, constructive, determined provider, very resourceful. He is more dedicated than anyone could ever expect. It is downright shocking actually. He is a true gem of a find, a doctor you can trust your practice and patients with, but put your trust in as his patient. Came in to get a pair of sunglasses and an eye exam. Great experience in an awesome location! Dr. Gonzalez is polite, professional, and made my eye exam a comfortable and easy experience, something I don't always get from other doctors. I was traveling to Plano to see family when one of the nosepieces on my glasses broke off and was causing me some discomfort. I found Eye Pieces around the corner from where we were staying. Nallely who was super helpful and friendly fixed my glasses. She even took the time to adjust my glasses several times to make sure they were straight on my face. There is little good I have to say about this place. It started out great. My husband and I both had appointments on the same day. The staff was friendly but a little awkward. Dr. Gonzales was really nice and very informative. We told the staff that we felt their emails and texts to confirm our appointments were a little overboard. I received seven notices in 48 hours and my husband five. They were friendly about the feedback. Dr. Gonzales recommended a follow-up test for me to look into an issue found during my exam. They quoted me $245 and we set a date a couple weeks out. Because they do not offer same day lenses we opted to not purchase frames from them and headed out in search of a same day service. While out at another place the technicians were a little confused by our prescription and called over the optometrist from next door to answer their questions. She explained to my husband that part of the prescription that was written was for a very expensive but unnecessary add-on. They could fill the prescription without the add-on and lessen the cost of the lenses by hundreds of dollars. We agreed. Fast forward to check out time and come to find out Eye Pieces has put a hold on our benefits for frame and lens purchases that has to be removed before we can purchase. At this point I'm starting to feel a little scammed at this point. Fast Forward to home and googling the price of the test Dr. Gonzalez recommended. According to the web the test should be no more than $150 without insurance. The $245 price I was quoted was WITH insurance. This leads to me to talking to another optometrist's office. We happened to be at Costco and stopped in the optometrist's office to ask what they would charge us for the same test. The answer floored me: $25 dollars WITHOUT insurance. TWENTY-FIVE, not a typo. Now, I know I have been scammed. Fast Forward to my husband cancelling my appointment five days before it was scheduled. Three days later I get a email to confirm my appointment in two days. I ignore it thinking they just didn't have time to cancel the email with their over abundance of reminders. Then one day before the appointment I get a voicemail to confirm my appointment. When I call and tell them I'd like to, again, cancel the appointment my husband cancelled for me four days ago the guy on the other end was *beyond* rude. He asked for my name, said fine and hung up. Again: He asked for my name, said fine and hung up. He isn't the one has has spent two weeks feeling scammed or received numerous emails and texts or had to call multiple times to cancel one over priced test. TL;DR: Avoid this company and their over priced, high pressure, scammy, used car salesmen like tactics. Save money and go elsewhere. read more

I love this place! I had to check them out because the frames I saw in their window display caught my eye! Hands down they have the best collection of frames and sunglasses EVER!! I'm a big Chanel fan and never saw any of these frames at any other store. I was drooling over them!!! I will be back for them!! The inside is so swanky! There are so many to choose from its like a candy store for your eyes!! We took our time deciding and did not feel rushed at all from the staff. When the optometrist came out to the front I was sure he was going to kick us out because it was past their closing time already. Boy, was I wrong! Dr. Gonzalez came out to introduce himself to us! He even took the time to help us decide between the Gucci or the Tom Ford that we narrowed it down to, also explained to us how polarized lenses work. He's a good looking man and might I add, his suit fitting him to the T! I knew I could trust his opinion and he was very knowledgeable. With the help of Dr. G we chose the Tom Ford's. My boyfriend quickly replaced the irreplaceable and he walked out of there looking like a million bucks without having to pay that much! I was way overdue for an eye exam so I searched for doctors through my Insurance carrier and looked for the closest to me. I came across Dr. Birenbaum and saw that it was like 2 miles away. Perfect. I should have known it would be pretty uppity being that it was at the Shops at Legacy. The woman at the front desk, Dottie I think, seemed a little "spacey" but nonetheless rather nice. Dr. Birenbaum seemed like he was going to be really snobby & uptight, but he was the opposite. Very nice man, knew what he was talking about and most importantly made me feel like my eyes were in good hands. Melody was super sweet and nice and made me feel very comfortable. The only reason I'm not giving this review 5 stars is because they were a couple people in there that had that "I'm better than you" rude air about them. *shrug* Whatever, at least my eyes are good to go :^) Oh! Due to horrible experiences I've had in the past with my optometrists it had been over 2 years since I had been to have my vision assessed. From the moment I walked in I was greeted with respect and amazing customer service. The wait was VERY minimal and the employees were very friendly. When it came time to meet with Dr Gonzalez and have my actual exam he made sure to take the time and ask ME questions! He made sure that after every procedure he explained why he was doing it and then thoroughly explained the results. I can honestly say that I learned more about my vision health in this one visit than I have in all of my previous exams combined. After the exam he even took the time to help me find frames that fit my style and looked great on me. This place is super protective of you knowing the model of the glasses. I tried on a pair of glasses and went to take a photo of them on my face and was approached by a lady that said I could not take photos and that I can not know the model number of the glasses. I asked if this is because they might be overcharging and do not want me to price shop. They said something to the effect that they provide services to match the glasses to the face and provide services to help you find a pair of glasses and do not want to spend that time and then I find them cheaper somewhere. I visited Eye Pieces today for contact lens exam. I've been going to this location for a few years but now they have a new owner(s), Dr. Gonzales. Let me say, I really really like the new guy!!! Dr. Gonzales is young, professional, personal and knowledgeable! I asked for advice on LASIK, and Dr. G had a ton of facts and great advice on providers. He also listened to my concerns about wearing contacts and gave me tons of tips to make wearing and caring for them easy. This is my second visit with him and I will keep coming back. I also really like his staff. In the past it felt like there was pressure to buy glasses but not with the new crew. What a great experience! The doctor and staff here are​ amazing and they have a great selection of eyewear. They have cutting-edge​ technology for eye tests and vision testing and the staff is very knowledgeable​. The doctor was able to discover some anomalies​ in my eyes that no other doctor was able to see and he offered me some options without pushing me or pressuring me. The ladies at the counter and my wife did a great job helping me select glasses. I am very picky and glasses often don't fit me. After looking all over the store I ended up selecting some Oliver Peoples glasses. The prescription is perfect and the glasses were adjusted and fit me great. I highly recommend Eye Pieces and its located in​ the Shops of Legacy very close to the parking garage making it easy to get to and close to shops and restaurants​. I got eyewear at your place. I told your clerk "Dennis" what I wanted: Kuzo Kawasaki rimless with Crizal. I showed him my glasses(Silhouette with the Crizal) and explained that these glasses are invisible, totally, when I wear a hat. I didn't know which Crizal treatment off the top of my head. I explained: just like my existing glasses, but with a new prescription and wanted to go to the Kawasakies He told me Kaswaski doesn't come with Crizal, but Kawaski does have a real good finish. Thinking maybe something cutting edge/new is out there that now out performs Crizal clearity. I trusted him. He gives me a price(+960.00). I'm ok with that, I pay for quality. Gives me a receipt. Lady asks if I would like her to staple my receipt to the order form. I told her yes. Here is another problem: She staples it right where the line items are on the order form. I had to take a staple off(she stapled twice) to see the line items on the order form. I noticed on the tint line item there was "drell." What is drell? Is this the new finish? or is it a tint? I never said anything about wanting a tint/transitions. And I read no refunds for prescriptions. So, maybe all this money for tinted glasses that I didn't want. After no sleep over the week end thinking about this I called that Monday and a clerk pulled the order and said no that is drill, for drilling the eyewear. Dennis can't spell drill! , and the staple clerk doesn't have the sense to put the staple wear people can read what was ordered. I also see that Alize is on the order form! He told led me to beleive that I couldn't get Crizal with Kawasaki. Got them in 2 plus weeks later, and I had to call to see if they were in, "yes they just got in." Order was totally wrong, took them back days later. I told Dennis I wanted the silver frames and NOT the matte silver and that if the Crizal have any color to them, if any, it is a aqua/crystal blue and you can see that by the ceiling lights refection of the eyewear. I'm having to explain to this guy about eyewear. He had my exiting glasses to go off of! I get them in and they are the matte silver and the lowest end Crizal, Alize, which have a yellow/brown hue/tint. I was polite and said it was a communication error(not, just being polite). I also told him, that the Crizal is the Sapphire, it has the clearity level like mine and it is also discribed on the Crizal website. So, he takes them back and the gets the rims replaced. A week later. Ok, I got the silver rims!, but the finish is still yellow reflection. Not the Sapphire that have the nice invisible effect as first asked for. He said he couldn't see the difference. He says: I guess I'll reorder them. I didn't get any paper work for the new order. Almost 3 weeks later, I called and talked to Ann, she says "they just got in?" Ok now they are the silver with the Crizal Sapphire. 2 months later I've got what I asked for. I was BS'd(lied to?) about putting Crizal on Kawasaki. Just for the testing of this guy, Dennis. When I went in yesterday for a fitting I was telling him about the Rudy Project eyewear for my next choice and wanting to know more about their field of vision. He told me "they are very expensive." I didn't ask him about price I asked hims about price! I don't think your front office people are very good about reading customers and being professional from start to finish, or maybe they are all part of a typical eyeware scam shop, just like most others. This Dennis guys hasn't a clue about people and is off in his own head in the clouds la la land. Plus he puts on a good tongue lashing, but doesn't now the trade. I hate to ever say anything negative but not real thrilled with the service here. Dr. Birenbaum seemed very proficient in his field and gave a through eye exam that I promptly paid $250 for and fit me with contacts that he said would very possibly need to be adjusted in the prescription. I called in to see him about said "adjustment" since I'm not seeing well and was told that Saturday appointments are not for "adjustments" in other words, I have already paid so I am no good to them during peak hours I guess? I was then told that the only time I could come in was during the week was before 5. It's their right to do that I suppose, I just don't feel as though it was very good follow through with a patient. read more

Eye Pieces is the best; y'all buckle up cause I got a story to tell on why I'm not going anywhere else but Eye Pieces for eye stuff. I had a really poor experience with a different doctor who told me, "You have SEVERELY dry eyes. You HAVE to have Lipiflow done ASAP. But since you're a ~MiLleNnIaL~ that means you probably need to go home and do your own research before you trust me, so go home and google it, then call me when I'm right and we'll get it done." So obviously, yeah I go home and Google the heck out of what this guy is taking about- I'm hyperventilating cause never I've heard of Lipiflow in my life. *deep breath* Enter Dr. Gonzales with Eye Pieces... I stumble upon Eye Pieces because they made some YouTube videos, start to finish, of the entire Lipiflow procedure - showing all the equipment and the person receiving the treatment. So I watched all 10 of them and was like, "wow okay this guy seems super chill", so I called and made an appointment to get checked out. Their office is in a super hip-business-trendy part of town, so you know, me and my ~MiLleNnIaL~ self think, "so far, so good". The staff was amazing, the office was relaxing and I felt so well taken care of. Dr. Gonzales comes in, in all his bow tie and sleek glasses frame glory, and tells me my eyes aren't even that bad, but he would recommended Lipiflow before they do get worse in the future. So of course since this Dr. Gonzales is honest and open about what I need day 1 - I want to give him the $$$. So I schedule a follow up appointment to get Lipiflow; it went AMAZING. It felt like a really weird, yet strangely enjoyable eye massage. I had no pain, no cornea scratching (irrational fear of mine), no blindness, no whatever- my eyes feel brand new. No dryness whatsoever, no horrific weird anomaly that I feared would happen as a result of Lipiflow. Just plain awesome results. Thank you EYE PIECES!
