Forms are completed before you appointment to help with the intake process. I've had the pleasure of being seen by both doctors and they are both AMAZING. Clean waiting area and kind and attentive staff. I received contacts on my visit and everyone was very helpful while I learned how to put in and take out my contacts. I like that they provide a diagram and they are only a few steps away if you need them. Plenty of frame options to choose from.

So it is 15 minutes before they close, not calling for a full appointment, just to pick up my glasses that were supposed to be back yesterday. I call the number 5 times to speak to someone and kept getting their voicemail, which I know they wouldn't check until next week. So, I decided to text the number as that is an option, and of course got nothing back. So at 1:50 I decided to drive up there, because they are evidently SLAMMED and SUPER BUSY.. what did you think I found when I got there in less than 4 minutes? A COMPLETELY EMPTY OFFICE WITH ZERO CUSTOMERS! No one up front checking on guest, just the entire staff in the back, getting ready to shut down at 2:00. I get it, it's close to closing time, but it takes 45 seconds to answer the phone and let me know my glasses aren't in. I guess customer service no longer ends when the business is actually closed. Again this is just about today.

My whole house got sick, we all started feeling it Sunday (New Years) morning and it progressively got worst. In fact I lost my voice, it hurt to much to swallow and even lift my head. Sure enough the house got COVID. I had an appointment on Tuesday and Monday (the day before) they were closed. I called in Monday not knowing they were closed and didn't leave a message because frankly I was so sick, I was just trying to be courteous hoping to get a live person, when I heard the answering machine I just hung up. Tuesday comes around and I got up to make sure I call right at 9:01am and tell them how sick we were and we'd like to reschedule our 2PM appointment. It was very clear I was sick bc I don't have my voice. The lady said she would ask how to handle that and when she got back on the phone said, sorry the policy is that you have to show up or we will charge you a late cancellation fee. I then said, so you guys want us to come and both my son and I both have COVID? She said "well you can bring a doctor's note"... huh? I barely have energy to leave the house for 1 appointment you're asking me to go to the doctors now? Lol comedy. Nope, we'll be there at 2PM. I find it absolutely unsympathetic and ridiculous that in a scenario such as this there is no empathy or consideration. I've been going here for the past 4yrs or so and have had NO track record of cancellations, but they treat me as if I am a frequent cancellation customer... in fact we moved to Carrollton which isn't close and we decided to still keep our business here. To top it off, we get here at 1:49 our appointment is at 2:00 and they didn't see us until 2:30 . What exactly is the point of an appointment when you can't follow it? This will be our last visit.

It does not happen everyday, but it certainly seems to flare up every now and then. Her recommendations (warm compresses, OcuSoft Eyelid Wipes, and Retaine MGD Eye Drops), have helped tremendously. It is her soft, reassuring voice, knowledge, experience, expertise and professional approach that truly makes a difference. I have to say that when I contracted COVID for the first time in June of 2022, the vision in my right eye was blurry for a few weeks. I noticed this and was concerned, so I made an appointment. They say that COVID affects everyone differently, so naturally, it scared the living daylights out of me, but Dr. Patel reassured me at my eye exam that year that she didn't see any signs of an ocular issue when she reviewed my Optomap. My vision has since been restored and I continue to be seen annually for my eye exams.

Then I was upsold toward a procedure, again a machine, to check the health in the back of my eye, again with little explanation. Dr. Patel was friendly, but again it had a factory feel to it. I received little information on the nature of the change in my vision, just that new lenses might take some getting used to. I asked about the results from the machine & got little in return other than "it's the angle of your glasses." I was met by a sales person from Lenscrafters before I had even paid my co-pay. I'll give them 2 stars because I left with a prescription for new glasses, but they get little for care or service beyond the barest minimum.

New review: Lone Star Vision: Celina…read more Brought my daughter in for an eye exam today to the new Lone star vision and was pleasantly surprised at how beautiful and efficient it is! I don't believe it's been open for very long, it's right off of Preston Rd in Celina. The offices are beautifully designed, I loved all of the thoughtful pieces throughout, definitely thumbs up for the coffee bar! The staff was friendly and accommodating, the doctor took his time to explain the pictures of the eye to my daughter, which was fascinating! They got us in and out pretty quickly and did an amazing job. I think my daughter was really happy with her eyeglass selection. She hasn't had glasses for several years and is looking forward to them, especially for driving. We opted to add in the blue light filter to help with screen time effects on the eyes. I've been scared since April over a static floater. I visited a large clinic off the tollway & was told come asap since at times indicates retinal damage .... But no cause found. Just come back in 30 days. Went from emergent to ok bye lol. This is where LSV was different. They go over your scans with you. Explain & answer all questions. Point & click to show you. Make sure you understand. You're not rushed. They give time to process info. They make recommendations on what might help & keep you comfy. These things make a huge difference.
