Dear Reviewers, I am writing to share my experience as a customer at 5701 Burke Centre Parkway, Burke, VA 22015. On Saturday, I visited their shop for service, and they told me they were installing a new battery. I was charged $310. However, when I reached home, the battery stopped working immediately. I called the shop several times, but no one answered. On Sunday, I attempted to go in person, but again I could not reach anyone. On Monday at around 11:00 a.m., I went back to the shop to request a replacement or a refund. The person who introduced himself as the manager spoke to me very rudely. He told me they would not refund the $310 and would only charge me $70, without explaining why. I told him that their service was not honest, as the battery they installed did not work at all, and this situation caused me to miss my classes and work. Instead of helping, he shouted at me and made discriminatory comments, telling me that "you are a girl" and "you are from another country" and that I "cannot do anything" and should "go to court if you have money." His words and behavior made me feel extremely uncomfortable, disrespected, and discriminated against. I am sharing this because no customer--especially women or people from other countries--should be treated this way. Not recommended, not honest, ask for estimated in writing before any service. Don't waste your time look for some place else.

Went for inspection , had a bulb out.. how much to change bulb .. cost of bulb plus $65.00 labor .... Left and went to the Kings Park Exxon on Braddock instead where they changed bulb for a reasonable $15.00 . Consumers will pay for service , but enough gouging already . Burke Exxon lost potential customers for all their products and maintenance . read more

I had an alignment and an oil change a few weeks ago. Great price and they gave me the price that was it was estimated.

I have been going to this gas station for almost 20 years. The manager is honest and very knowledgeable and all repairs have been satisfactorily completed. I do not believe I have ever been overcharged for any repair. All repairs are completed in a timely fashion. read more

I've been bringing my car here for both gas and inspections for several years now, and they've always been quick and friendly. Unfortunately during my most recent visit, I found out that my front brakes were not in tip-top shape and wouldn't pass inspection without getting them replaced. They gave me an immediate quote and told me they'd be able to get the parts and fix it up within a few hours (on a Saturday, no less.) It was a much cheaper quote than I'd recently paid to the dealership to get my rear brakes replaced, so I said yes and went on my merry way. By the time I called back later in the afternoon, it was all ready, and the pricing came just about to what they had quoted me (a little bit more with taxes but whatevs.) Not money I was glad to be spending, but I was glad to have gotten it all taken care of with no fuss and no muss. I do wish they had given me a call when my car was ready (I left all my info), but all in all, no complaints and I would continue to come back here for sure. read more

The mechanic supervisor was not honest. Before dropping off my car, I have asked the estimate of front sway bar link replacement for my Prius. My son found out after the job was done the price was more than doubled. I was really disappointed. Be careful and ask the estimate in writing. read more

Mr. Singh is an honest and reputable owner. He and team are technically competent and have serviced our vehicles promptly. They can do 75% of what the dealer can do for maintenance on most vehicles at a fair and reasonable price. read more

I stopped by to get a quick emissions inspection and they somehow reset a ton of my truck settings and trip data I needed for my records. Idk how or why they would of done that. Even unplugging the battery wouldn't cause this. Never going back. read more

Took a car here for inspection and it failed for tires. Got new tires and took it back for reinspection but the person there was not the person that failed the car and he said it would be a complete inspection and the car might fail. Gave me the option of coming back when the first inspector was there to only do a reinspection of tires. This is complete BS. See VA code 19VAC30-70-60. You just earned a complaint to the VA State Police. Inspector should have his ticket yanked. read more

My wife took her vehicle in to Burke Center Exxon to have the battery checked. They told her it needed a new one and quoted her ~$120. She called me at work and asked if she should get it. Though the price seemed slightly high to me, I told her to go ahead. It would be worth it to have it taken care of. Later, she showed me the bill. They charged her $$120 as agreed for the battery... and then $35 to install it! Something which every auto parts store in the country will do for free. To add insult to injury, they then charged her $3.50 for "shop supplies". Someone please tell me what shop supplies are expended changing out a battery. I am absolutely convinced that they took advantage of my wife. All I can promise it that they will never get the chance again. read more

As the only car waiting outside the inspection bay on December 13, I called to check if inspections were still being done. The manager came out to assure me that my car would be inspected right away and sure enough, a few minutes later the mechanic took my car into the bay and in less than 10 minutes I was on my way. A few minutes later, I brought my other car to be inspected and once again received prompt, courteous service and a quick inspection. Friendly mechanics and staff, highly recommend. read more

I love this Exxon. It is right across the street from my job. The owner is so nice and they even remember me every time I go in! The reason I didn't give 5 stars is because they are over priced in most items in the little quicky shoppe. Guess the price is worth it because of the great service, so I keep going back! read more

Every other gas station I have been to will move my car if I want to leave it for a state inspection. The manager literally said he was too busy to move my car but he was just sitting there...he wouldn't allow me to leave my car and go home. Super disappointed in these guys. They used to be helpful. read more

TOTAL RIPOFF - BUYER BEWARE!!! I went into the station to purchase other items and while inside asked for $30 worth of gas. I used my debit card as a credit card and had to sign for the purchase. I only use regular gas (which was advertised as $2.79) per gallon. When I pumped the gas I only received 9.378 gallons. There is no way that I should have gotten less than 10 gallons at that price. When I went in to tell the clerk he told me that I did not select regular and I selected a higher grade instead. I have had this car for 2 years and have always used the regular grade. He refused to provide a refund and told me that I must have inadvertently selected the higher grade. When I asked for his name he wrote down a name that was completely different from the one shown on the receipt. I think they rip off customers that pre-pay for gas. Please pay attention to the amount of gas that you receive if you go to this station. I have already filed a formal complaint with the Exxon Mobil corporate customer complaint center. read more

Incredibly rude, dishonest management. They refuse to take rewards points on the weekends, and have tried to pass it off like the rewards are only for weekdays. They'll also shut down the connection to prevent customers from using points and fail to notify customers that it's "down". Will not buy my gas here when there are better prices not far away under better management. read more

This is a fine place to go to get your state inspections done. It is always packed/long line, but for good reason- they are fast and fair.

I've gotten state inspections here a bunch of times. They are quick (average 20 minutes per car). The station is conveniently located in a large shopping center. Stay away on weekends if you're looking to get your car inspected. The lines are much longer on the weekend and at the end of the month. read more

Worst customer service ever! I arrived to have my car inspected, there were only 3 cars ahead of me the guy doing the inspections goes through two cars super quick, and passes them, less than 5 minutes each. The. He just walks out of his job without telling anyone shit, gets in his car and off he goes. 30 mins go by and there's no one else working on cars. This station provides honest repairs at a fair price. My husband and I trust the management 100%. I always get my Safeway points no problem. I have never experienced any problem at this station, in fact I highly recommend them for all your automotive needs. The business is run in an honest open fashion. Exxon is a complete scam for getting simple work done on a car. They charged me 95$ in labor for a job that took 10 minutes. I purchased a new O2 sensor front left and had them install it. To replace this it will require unscrewing the old sensor and screwing in the new sensor. It is quite a simple task that only takes a few minutes. I would never recommend this place. Manager is not friendly and thinks that he can curse at customers when they ask to explain themselves for such a overcharge. Managers only response is that it took a hours worth of labor! ! -this is not true. Customers beware! read more

We took in our truck to have some shocks replaced. We even provided the shocks for them. Pick up the truck and after driving for a day realized something was wrong, when we looked at the shocks one was NOT even bolted in. Took the truck back and they did then bold it in but have just had a service by GM and the Shock is bent and requires replacement (brand new)! I am not impressed that I was driving around in a truck that the bolts had not even been checked, what if this had been something more important like brakes etc. Shoddy, need to check their work and I will not use them again! read more

I have used this Burke Centre Exxon before, and it's kind of hit or miss. Today I put our car in for a headlight bulb replacement and a tail light bulb replacement. Since two lights were out, I asked that they check that all lights on the car were working. Even though I put the car in at 10:30 in the morning, I still hadn't heard anything by 4:45 PM so I called to see if the car was ready. They said it was, and when I asked why no one had called me, even though I left 2 phone numbers, the cashier couldn't provide an explanation. I walked over to pick up the car and paid for the repair. I turned on the lights before leaving to make sure they were done, and lo and behold, they never replaced the head light bulb, and the tail light bulb looks like it's been cracked. When I asked the cashier why the head light was not replaced, he tried calling the mechanic who had already gone home but got no answer. He couldn't explain why they said the car was ready, even though the finished repair order shows that no head light was ever picked up so no head light lamp replacement was completed. This is ridiculous. Two replace two bulbs and check on the rest of the lights was such a simple task, but yet only half of the work was done, and the repair order was listed as having been completed. Since no one had called me, it was too late to have the work done again, and they asked me to take it back tomorrow. Instead, I took it to Goodyear/Mr. Tire around the corner -- and they finished the rest of the work in less than a half hour. read more
