Poor customer service. After I filled up gas, there is no receipt printed out from the pump. I need a receipt for car wash code. So I went in gas station to get a receipt. Old gentleman was totally ignoring me like I was not there. He was restocking cigarettes in front of me and ignored me about 5 minutes. To get his attention, I said excuse me sir and explained why I was there. Without saying anything, he printed out a receipt and handed it to me . Even though I thanked to him, at same time he yelled at me " now what" ? I cannot believe his hostile behavior towards customer. read more

Sunoco Car Wash Review: tried this car wash and the water pressure is so weak particularly on the left side and the undercarriage wash! Not confident all the salt, snow chemicals, or dirt gets washed off. Seriously, by the end of the wash, there was still SOAP on my side mirrors and in between the vehicle panels because the rinse sucks. Had to go home to turn on my water hose bib and rinse off the vehicle afterwards. Go do an Exxon Laser wash and see Real water pressure in a touch less car wash. You'll see and feel everything properly rinsed off the car unlike this Sunoco wash. 1 positive is that this wash is cheaper than the Exxon wash including undercarriage rinse by $4-$5. read more

I don't appreciate being called a liar when the 7-Eleven cashier short changes me and then tries to trick me into entering my credit card number, just so I could overpay. 3 for $5 Gatorade ended up being 3 for $6.22...which means that the cashier was illegally charging me tax and pocketing the money. On top of that, he refused to give me a receipt for my purchase so I can post proof of the transaction on Yelp. I know it does not seem like much, but it is entirely possible that they stole money from anyone else besides me. He also started yelling at me when I called him out on it. I do not know if it is because I am Asian or if there was another reason behind why I was treated like a second class citizen, but I was exploited and taken advantage of. The drink selection is also subpar compared to most 7-elevens and the hot dogs were out in the open...in the middle of a Pandemic. It would be irresponsible and wreckless of you to buy anything for anyone, including your family. This is the only 1-star review I have ever written in my entire time on Yelp and these people deserve it. read more

pump is broken and when I explain they said "yea it's like that" and that it's not their problem, and to call the number behind. Not even the decency to put a sign notifying people. Not worth calling in a $2 refund when the staff can't even put a closed sign. See constant complaints about uneven charging, makes sense seeing how little they care here. This Sunoco is always busy and the parking lot is fairly dangerous, but they have the cheapest gas in the Fair Oaks area. If you buy a coffee supposedly you get 5 cents off each gallon of gas. I've never tried it but I guess it will save you 60 cents or so. It is also easy to get and out. read more

The price is always $0.10 more than Costco gas that is next door to them however when you don't have your Costco card, this is a reasonable station. In addition, their breakfast is WONDERFUL. I got the breakfast bowl, and it was delicious and the portion is huge. Price Is cheap as well. The associates that work there are very friendly and customer service oriented. I used to go to this gas station often but after a very rude and unnecessary encounter with their employee I've decided to never go again. The employee was very rude and had really bad customer service skills. Now, I just go to a completely different gas station - won't ever give them my business again and none of my family or friends go there either - word of advice don't go there unless you don't have to deal with any employee. read more

Our family has been using this Sunoco for years seeing that it's the only gas station in the neighborhood. Purchased some gas and a car wash recently but didn't wash the car planning to come back another day. The receipt does say that the car wash code is valid for 14 days. Well, I missed the 14 days by one day and went in to see if they can give me another code. Spoke to two different guys and both said no. I understand I missed the 14 days but its not like I was asking for a refund on an used item, it was for a car wash... One of the guys was also rude. I informed them I won't give them anymore business going forward and they were fine with it. As I was pulling out, the rude guy came out with a new car wash code. I said, no thank you. On May 39, 1918 I paid $33.00 for an $8.00 car wash and $25.00 for gas at Sunoco Aplus , 4647 West Ox Road, Fairfax Va. 22030. The car wash wsd broken and I asked for my money back for both. But was told that I could come back for the car wash. As I do not live in the area, I asked for a refund of the $33.00. I was only given $8.00 for car wash and wad told that as long as I do not pump gas my card would not be debited. I trusted the Manager and drove away from pump 9. I notified Direct Deposit who put the $25.00 back into my account. However, Sunoco protested and I was again debited $25.00. Well, for 1 year now I still have not receive my money back even after writing to Sunoco President, Mr Kim. I also gave them the name of my attorney whom they refuse to talk with. I am filing a complaint with Fairfax Count Consumer Complaint with copies of all communications. Stay away from Sunoco! read more

Live near this gas station so I am a frequent customer. Everyone knows me there and are always super nice and helpful. Mohammed is my favorite...he remember what I get each time and is always super friendly. There is another review that is nasty towards Mohammed but that doesn't surprise me bc a lot of whack jobs visit this location as well. Almost every time I go there I see someone disgracing the human race and being rude to the employees. Obviously those customers have never heard of the phrase "you get more bees with honey than vinegar". Pros: gas is one of the cheapest in the area Cons: Because it's cheap, the pumps are frequently crowded. Multiple times have had the car wash and tire pump out of order for days. The pumps don't warn you that their car wash is broken, but will still sell you one. read more

This place gets the job done for me! Don't expect frills or glam here people. It's a gas station. A busy one. It's quick and easy to get in and out of. This place usually has the cheapest gas in the Fair Oaks area, so of course it is going to be busy during peak hours (early morning, lunch time & post-work). Expect to wait or work on becoming a driving ninja to get right up in there for a spot. I'd like to think of myself as a supa ninja, but I've honestly never had to wait in any sort of line. I come during odd hours. Yes, I've also had the unfortunate situation of a pump not working/being out of gas & having to move to another. That's what happens when there's "cheap" gas. #firstworldproblems The place could stand a good scrubbing, but what gas station couldn't? The employees here have always been friendly. They're pretty efficient at getting customers in and out. I've only had to wait an extended period of time here once - the employee was new and something wasn't working right with the lotto machine. Saturday, 5/27/17 around midnight: Moments ago, I attempted to purchase a bottle of water tonight before heading home. I stopped by this Sunoco,which I noticed was just received a large delivery (large truck in the front of the store). There are literally no customers. So I go in, get my Aquafina, and head to the register. I see that the cashier (who I'd recognized from my visit to the gas station earlier this week - more on that later) was dealing with the shipment, so I hang out for like 30 seconds at check out. "Excuse me?" I ask. No response. I figure he didn't hear me, so again, I address him. "Excuse me,sir?" In a louder, but still-polite tone. Again, no response. I audibly sigh, and again ask "Excuse me?" when he finally responds. "Yeah, I heard you the first three times,but I was obviously busy." So, he admits that he was actively ignoring me, a customer waiting to complete a transaction. "Yeah, and you ignored me three times,too. A 'hold on,miss, I'll be right with you,'" would've worked just fine," I shot back. He didn't say anything; he just looked like he didn't want to be bothered and had this general nasty air about him. I noticed this air a few days ago when I had come to this very same location to buy a 5-hr energy drink. The employee in question was sitting behind the register texting, not paying attention to the customers. It was during the day, so the station was a bit busier. And of course,he offered no apology for his inattention. I didn't really pay the exchange any mind...until my second encounter with him tonight. I urge the manager/owner of this location to talk to this young man. The gas prices and the proximity to my house make this a go-to spot for me, but this is the absolute WORST customer service I have ever experienced at a gas station--bad enough to prevent my from coming again. Unfortunately, I did not get this man's name. In my dismay at his rudeness, I walked out of the store and didn't even make my purchase. Didn't want to further interact with a person with such a disdainful, negative attitude. He's youngish, probably in his early to mid-30s,with longish hair. Working the late shift on Friday, May 26 going into the 27th. I will be following up tomorrow in person with a manager. 45 min wait for Car Wash!!! The line wraps around back and is hidden. It was ~7 mins a car to go through the wash! With only a few cars in front of me, it practically took an hour to get my car washed. Go somewhere else for a car wash. read more

Be aware, you will NOT get your money back if the pump malfunctions. Here is my experience there at Pump #3 last Saturday (7/14/12) -- Soon as I put nozzle into my car to start fill up, it shut off and printed receipt without starting the pump. I was charged $1.69 by the malfunctioning pump. I went inside with my credit card receipt to tell them the pump malfunction. Even though a senior employee there was fully aware of the faulty pump. the owner (or maybe owner junior in his mid 20s?) refused to give me refund. I didn't bother to argue for that $1.69 charge and just left without buying gas there. The problem isn't the pump, it's the owner. I will never stop at this station again. read more
