First time here and it's because I found the prices on gas buddy. There is lots of construction outside but that's not their fault. Its also one way turn to leave which is annoying. For whatever reason there are only 4 pumps. The machines seem pretty new which was helpful. And if you sign up as a member, you get cents off for fill up. read more

As an Uber drive it is frustrating needing to use a public restroom. Gas station restrooms tend to be notoriously filthy and it, quite frankly, pisses me off. Not this one though! You need to get the key from the cashier but the bathrooms are super clean. As a drive I greatly appreciate that. As a FEMALE I appreciate it even more. I like this location because on weekends the premium gas is the same price as the mid-grade gas. Careful when using credit card. Just before the "Would you like a receipt?" question there's a "Would you like a car wash?" question. So if you aren't careful...you'll end up with a car wash added to your final bill. read more

WORST Car Wash Ever! Left residue on all windows & although properly positioned couldn't clean rear of car & made it worse as left residue there so it was worse than on arrival. Attendant said mgr had spent $300K on it, but that doesn't fix problem it caused so guess money poorly spent. So I'm leaving work and I have 3 doughnuts left over after my coworkers and I bought our clients some doughnuts. (Trust me, there's a point to this story.) I didn't want to leave them at work because I thought w/ a snow storm coming by the time we got back, they would be stale, so I took them with me. I knew I didn't need the caloric fat, but I hate to see food go to waste. Then as I'm driving home my bladder decides it's completely full. I remember there's always a few homeless people between Centreville/Fairfax, so I get off the highway and pray my bladder lets me make it to them without peeing on myself. I realized I couldn't make it, so I flipped a HARD right followed by another HARD U-turn and made it to Shell. Get inside & I wait somewhat patiently behind a man in line, then kindly ask a woman (not helping anyone) behind the counter to use the restroom. She hands me the key & im like "CRAP! It's about to be a dirty outside bathroom". So I'm prepared to penguin walk into the restroom without touching anything & I hear the gates of Heaven open. CLEANEST GAS STATION RESTROOM EVEEEERRRR!!! & check this out! IT EVEN SMELLED GOOD! clean floors, toilet, ample toilet paper, clean sink...I stood there in literal awe for about 3 seconds, then my bladder reminded me I had to pee. I went. I was relieved. Went inside to return the key & complimented the workers. At the end, thanks to their lovely facilities, I was able to make it to a homeless man and hand him 3 Kristy Kreme doughnuts. read more

Good service station, friendly people. Prices are high, but they always are in Fairfax County. Higher than the surrounding counties.

They got a new clerk and he is super prejudice. I am a person of color and as I went to pay with my card I had put it in wrong and he immediately said we don't food stamps That was super weird of him to think I'm using food stamps even tho he clearly seen my card. Are my expectations of a car wash too high when there are no brushes actually touching the car to rub dirt off? I bought the "Premium" ($9) wash at this Shell station with "pressure" wash and "hot foam soap" and assumed it would take off the fine powdery dust I had noticed earlier and easily removed with a damp rag. Fresh out of the drive-through, I checked the hood of my white car and could finger-paint streaks through the film, making the tips of my fingers black. I showed the attendant, who gave me a code for their top-of-the-line "Ultimate" ($11) wash, but it seemed like I got the same series of sprays, and the car looked no better the second time. Everything about this gas station is exceptionally good, except for the POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE. The individual's name is Mohsin, he was the cashier/operator on Dec 9th around 12pm. When asked with "Is there a bathroom in here that I could use?" His reply was "we don't use bathroom here, we use the side walk" as him and his friend(1) looked at each other and laughed. I ignored and looked around the store to see if there is a bathroom. I didn't see one inside there so I asked again, "where is your bathroom located, I'm not from around here" He replied "outside, keys are over there as he looked at the counter, and with his smart reply, and I'm from Texas" As a military veteran and a successful business owner of several businesses, I know first hand how important it is to treat customers with RESPECT no matter what they look like! I cannot believe SHELL has someone who is so ill mannered representing their company. I have been to various gas stations both overseas and back in the US and I must say, this by far, has got to be the most unpleasant and unprofessional experience I have encountered! I would rather drive the extra distant next time than to have another run in with Mr. Mohsin at this location. read more

I went in to this Shell Station to use my Giant Food Credit points on gas. The man told me "the system is down because it is raining". I went to leave and he related "All Shells are down -I just called them". I went home and called 3 local Shells regarding the discount points. All of them were offering discounts on gas because of Giant food discount points all day so far. read more
