I was driving on Ox Road when another motorist motioned for me to roll down my window. He shouted that I had a flat tire and yes, I could feel it. I saw a gas station coming up and immediately got into the left lane to turn in. When I did, I couldn't believe my luck that the station included a full service shop on site. I drove around and when the mechanic saw me, my kids, and elderly MIL, he dropped everything he was doing and changed the tire for me. I am still so incredibly grateful for his kind and speedy service. Wow, you don't encounter that level of customer service very often. We were charged a small and reasonable price for this service. Brought my car in for a state inspection, got a rejection. Inspector claimed I needed new tires. This was a bit odd since the place I bought my tires from stated they had another 6000+ miles remaining. Nonetheless, I figured ill just get the new tires earlier than needed. I bought new tires (from a different place, never give your business to subhuman scammers, remember!) Brought the car back in less than 15 days. Instead of looking at the tires and passing the inspection, the inspector "Johnny Quinno" said now the car needs additional work done on the headlights. Keep in mind, when the car is brought in before the 15 day time period, the inspector is only supposed to review the previously failed items, not reinspect the entire car. In this case the car was driven into the service bay and a full reinspection was done. I will add that the brakes on my car never squeak. However when Johnny drove the car into the service bay, I noticed the car was immediately squeaking. Which makes no sense, unless he was intentionally driving the car into the service area with the handbrakes on or doing something else improper. The car was not squeaking after the visit either. I will add they do not allow you to sit in the passenger seat to monitor the inspection due to not wanting to be responsible for safety of customers who enter the service area. I will add Johnny had my car in the service area for around 15 minutes, and the garage was closed so I couldn't see what he was doing. I would not be surprised if the mechanics/inspectors here do everything in their power to mess with your car, during the 15 minutes of alone time they get with your car. Not everyone was taught proper ethics, morality and human decency after all. I fixed the headlight issues (at a different place of course), brought it back (this time beyond the 2 week period) and was now told by Johnny that the brakes need to be changed. Again the car made a squealing sound while he was driving it into the service bay. None of this was necessary or justified, inspectors are only to reinspect the failed items on the car as long as you bring it in within two weeks, not do a full reinspection. Inspectors are not permitted to interfere or damage the car or its parts in any way. I would advise you do not get an inspection here, and report this inspector to the Virginia state police. There is an obvious conflict of interest when mechanics/mechanic shops are also the inspectors, however when businesses or inspectors behave in clearly dishonest unethical ways they are obviously going too far, you cannot continuously repeat the cycle of reinspecting the entire car when it's brought in within a two week time period in the hopes to make a bit of extra money off customers. Report any unethical inspectors to Virginia state police, and look for other ones. Also the managers at this place are pretty nice and the manager Dan seems honest and provides excellent customer service. It is unfortunate they have the inspector they do but it's possible the other mechanic working there may do a good job. Should be zero stars. Gas pump didn't pump gas and the attendant didn't give my money back. Horrible service, will never stop there again.

This gas station has saved my life on many occasions! It's the first gas station as you turn on 123 south after Braddock Rd. The next station isn't until the end of 123 near 95. It's expensive but when it's your only option then you don't really have a choice;) They have a complete auto/repair service center as well buttttt no car wash :( They sell propane tanks too for your weekend BBQ! read more

First time coming here and won't be my last. I came in and was greeted by a very sweet lady at the front desk of the Auto shop area. She told me to come back in 30 minutes because the guy who does state inspections was on lunch, no problem. I come back and Johnny takes my car and gets the VA state inspection done in under 20 minutes. Overall it was a great experience and I had 0 problems. It's unfortunate that this place has the people working at it that it does. There is a lady there with incredible hospitality and customer service, but if you show up when she's not there, good luck. Incredibly rude and money first. They could care less what the customer says if it doesn't mean more money for them. They claimed there are actual laws that made them charge me more money. I have never heard something so ridiculous from an auto mechanic. If you have another auto store close to you I'd recommend going there and not here. It's just not worth the risk. read more

I came here to get an emissions test and the guy told me that I had an exhaust leak and that was a prerequisite for getting the emissions test. I told him I wasn't going to do that. He should have just tested it regardless. The next week without having repaired the "exhaust leak" I took my car to a different emissions place and they did the test and my car passed... Don't bring your car here for any services. They lie, cheat, and steal. read more

State inspection - I didn't get a great feeling when I drove in and the inspector was whizzing cars around the lot like Mario Andretti. There were a couple cars in front of me which took 20 minutes each. But then he pulled the first car back in and said it would be another 5 minutes. It appears that he performed some type of repair on that car while 5 of us were waiting for an inspection. This took 20 minutes, not 5. I have used Ox Road Exxon the past couple years, for maintenance items. I spent a few thousand on oil changes, brakes, tires and so forth. Following my last visit I will not return. My car was damaged when the service personnel drove the car from the parking lot into the service bay. I showed the damage to the service person, who took a photo, I spoke to the manager who spoke to the owner, and was told to submit a claim to my car insurance. They would only cover damage caused by their equipment while the car was actually inside the service bay. Damage caused by their personnel operating my vehicle outside the service bay, even while entering the bay, would not be covered. The service manager did not dispute that they were the ones to damage my car. I cannot hand my keys over to Ox Road Exxon, if they will not repair damaged caused while they are driving my car. FYI: all I asked for was repair, not full replacement. Very poor customer relations. read more

Have gone to this Exxon for work to my car and for my last state inspection. Barney and Brittney are two of the most honest and knowledgeable people who have worked with my car. Barney will tell you himself; he's old but that doesn't mean he's stupid. He trained mechanics in the military and is continuing his education in computers. Brittney takes pride in her diligence as a service manager and would only suggest services for your car that it truly needs. I found myself continually getting screwed over by other businesses that just saw me as a some young little girl to scam; I live in Woodbridge but make sure that I come through to Fairfax for this Exxon's service. read more

Stay away from these people. Worst service that I ever received from this store. Their gas price is higher than anyone else in this area. Because of I live in this neighborhood, that's why as the closest place I went there several times. Every time I received the worst service. If your car repair is minor then they would keep you in a long waiting line. At the time they will service your car they will find some unnecessary items which do not need repair and which will allow them to make money. If you go somewhere else then they would say you do not need this repair. Even if you do the repair with this store then their work is not good. I did repair my Honda car. The guy he found some unnecessary items and almost force me to repair. At the time they completed the work the owner Punam (an Indian woman, not sure she is the owner or not but she described that she is the owner). Told me that you have a warranty for our work. Right after 3 days, I found my car is making noise and the condition is very bad than previously the way the car was. I bring back the car to the store and owner, Punam completely deny to fix my car and what is the repair they have done, When I asked her that you said I have a warranty of my repair, why you cannot repair the car? She started to perform malicious/spam activity. She switches the topic and she said we have 40 years' experience, our work is good. I said you are changing the topic, this is a scam. Further, she was not the owner for 40 years, because previously a Korean person was the owner who lived is Maryland. So Punam lies and she is a malicious liar. Then she said if you want a fix your car then you can leave it here. We will start again after 3 days. You have to pay again for all repair. Then I bring the car to another tire and auto store, who repair the car same day and cheaper. Another day I bring the car to this store when they said you have electric wiring problem with your car and fix it will cost you $2650. Just to get their opinion cost me $125. Then I bring the car on nearest Honda dealer and they found there are wiring problem or any other problem with the car. I just wasted money with this store. Horrible! Dropped my car off on Sunday night, 30AUG for inspection and emissions the next day. The guy in the mini-mart assured me that it was second in line and would be done by 08.00 the next morning... in time for me to get to work. Got there the next morning. He obviously hadn't a clue what he was talking about. My car was not in line. Brittney Ward, the service manager, apologized that my paperwork had not been passed to them. Totally not her fault. If I had a no star, I would give it to this repair shop!!! Stay away from this shop unless you are looking to get robbed. I took my 7-year-old car in to get it inspected, and the technician told me I needed motor mounts. I took it somewhere else, and the auto repair shop told me that this shop was trying to rob me. They said there was nothing wrong with my vehicle. I passed the inspection with no problem at the other shop. Honesty is the most important thing when it comes to service. I don't care how much it cost to get my car repaired just be honest, and I have not problem paying for good service. Find a shop that is honest!!! By the way, I complained to the manager, and the manager reinforced the technician opinion without even looking at my car. Be careful! They are scamming people.
