It's on 236. This is an extremely busy area in the county. Population density and traffic, make it frustrating at points. This gas station isn't as cheap as some nearby, but it's competitive. Usually I go to the others, as money is tight. Still this one is nicely illuminated and clean. Nice employees too. Have got car inspected here couple times. Some say this location can be busy, but if early enough in and out. Pump area is roomy enough. There's an alright convenience store. It works for the basics. read more

My family and I have been coming to this location for over 20 years. Today will be the last day I ever go here. I was having issues with the credit card machine at the pump ask the middle aged Korean cashier for assistance. He yells to use the other one. So I asked him to cancel the transaction and I'll go to another pump. Same issue. He was outside so I asked for help again. He starts yelling and screaming at me to come over to him. I said no and that he needs to come over to the machine and fix the issue. He started to curse in Korean and kept yelling to come over to him. I had enough of his disgusting and disrespectful treatment to a paying and loyal customer. Myself and my family will no longer support this location. I feel flat out ripped off. RUN, don't walk, away from this place. I brought my car in for inspection. I was told that my headlights were too fogged and my windshield wiper too worn to pass. I've had this car inspected for years with never a single mention of the headlights, but what can you do? They have you over a barrel and they know it. They will put that ugly red sticker on your car and you will have to worry about inspection another day. So I sucked it up and paid 25 bucks to have my headlights de-fogged. I have to admit, when it was first done they looked great. But it rained the next day, and now they look just like they did before. So what I think happened is they just sprayed some WD 40 or other oil on there for a quick fix (try it, it works) until I left. I also have real doubts about the windshield wipers, but no real way to check that. I think this garage does what many unscrupulous ones do: they use the inspection as an excuse to find things they can charge extra for. AND, it just keeps getting worse! When I got home, I found that they had removed screws from my car to inspect the brakes and DIDN"T REPLACE THEM. As a result I was dragging a piece of my car around and now don't even have the screws to fix it myself. Not going back. read more

Okay, let me tell you about Mr.Kim and his son, Vincent. They are the most knowledgeable duo when it comes to fixing cars. My mom refuses to go anywhere else to get her cars fixed because Mr.Kim always goes beyond what we ask of him. He always checks my mom's car regardless if she notes the issue or not and he always recommends cheaper alternatives (even if the service is not with them). Economically speaking, this service station doesn't raise their prices just for profit. They actually care about, YOU. I almost feel bad because Vincent is super nice and everytime another customer needs anything (I mean, anything!) he drops what he is doing to meet your needs. He is always smiling and I swear, who on earth can get mad at him! They both have allowed to keep my mom's car on their lot for over 3 months, that is unheard of! They have also put money into my mom's car in hopes to salvage her 1,000 year old baby car but we have yet to find the ending. Anyway, i highly recommend this duo any and every single time. Quality of Work (Excellent) - I always come to this location for my oil changes, emissions testing and state inspections. I also come here for hourly services such as tire replacements or rotor repairs. Never had an issue since as long as I can remember! Customer Service (Excellent) - If you ever had a chance to talk with Vincent you will quickly realize what a genuinely kind person he is. I mean, I don't think he could even hurt a fly! And he is always on your side if something doesn't ever seem right. A couple of the mechanics on the other hand can be odd sometimes but I think it's just their personalities. Environment (Good) - This is a gas station, not a resort lobby. Expect a gas station, not a resort lobby. Price (Excellent) - This place has the best prices for oil changes, hands down! I've been ripped off before (Jiffy Lube, if you don't believe me, check out the hidden camera investigations on YouTube) but this place has never done me wrong. They did a couple of repairs on my MB GL450 and I think they did a decent job -- they did an oil change and replaced IMRC and power steering pump. However, I do have some serious post-repair concerns that have yet to be addressed by these guys. They wanted the car there for a couple of days for the repairs and I was fine with that. I dropped it off on a Wednesday and picked it up on the following Saturday if I recall correctly. I received a call from Vincent the manager when the repairs were finished and I stopped by later the same day around 10 PM to pick up the car. However, I noticed the following when I inspected my car immediately after I paid for the repairs. - A quarter tank of gas was gone. Keep in mind that it's a 26.4 gallon tank so we're talking about over six gallons of gas being gone.The trip odometer was also reset to zero which I found to be odd. - The airmatic suspension on the rear passenger side was completely deflated and it was sitting flat. - The entire SUV was completely covered with white deicing chemicals as if it had been on a skiing trip to Vermont. I asked the cashier about these issues and he basically said I'd have to contact the manager the next day since he is not a mechanic. The next day, I called Vincent on his cell phone and left a message. I described these issues and asked for an explanation. He never returned my call. I've tried calling him a few more times but he is not picking up his cell phone. And I just found out that the airmatic suspension issue will cost me $600 to repair. read more

Several weeks ago when the temperature decided to drop below freezing and started to snow in the middle of March, my tires decided to shriver in their rubber coatings so my tire pressure lights went on. I pulled to an Exxon station and paid $1.50 but could not get the pressure properly adjusted so three tires were way over the pressure level required while one was below. I scrambled to find another gas station that I can rectify the situation and pulled up to this Shell. The guy came out and completely helped with fixing the tire pressure problems and did not charge me for anything. It is hard, if not impossible, to find any good samaritans these days. I have been getting my state inspections here for the last few years but will be getting gas here when I am back in this area next time. read more

I want to give this Shell gas station a very good review but I am extremely DISAPPOINTED with the service they gave for my car. Vincent (the guy you would talk to 99% of the time) is a great guy, very nice and comforting to talk to. Might I add understanding and civil as well but I had hope he could understand his customers much much better... I am not a rich individual who can just toss any amount of money out of nowhere but I sure as heck spent a lot. My car wasn't producing cold air so I wanted to get it checked. Turns out I need my air conditioner compressor replaced. Fortunately this shop gave me the best quote at $750 whereas other places was around $900-1,300. So I went with it. They needed my car the entire day. So I dropped it off in the morning paid the $750 + tax and picked it up around 7pm. I am not going to lie and say this but upon getting my car the AC was WEAK! Since the mechanics are gone, I had to come back another day. So the next day I had to drop it off again and what do you know, they needed to fix my car the entire day AGAIN! Turns out they didn't fix the AC system right because there's metallic particles inside preventing the cooling to circulate. They then had the audacity to tell me it wasn't supposed to be $750 but more but since they made a mistake, it was compensated. Guess what. After a month, the AC didn't work AGAIN!!! So since I paid an amount close to $1,000 I had to take it back to the shop. Likewise, they needed to look at it for almost half the day. I didn't expect something so bad but unfortunately, the AC condenser wasn't operating well. The fan was to weak so the car doesn't get cold. They told me it'll be $300 for the part and labor. Man at this point I just had enough BS. I pretty much am about to spend more than $1,000. I had to rethink and see if there is another shop elsewhere that would fix my condenser for cheap. To make matters worse, this Shell station left me with a very hot car without the AC working. Its summer, the temperature goes from 85-90+ degrees. So upon contemplating if I want to pay the $300 my friend told me he knows someone who can take a look at my car. So I went. The mechanic told me it was very low on freon so he charged it for me free. So guess what, apparently the Shell gas station was SO FREAKING CHEAP, they did not even charge my freon. They let me get roasted inside my car so I can force myself to pay them and get my car fixed. Well I am not that stupid and they need to treat their customers right. You can't play them like a fool. Just because they don't know how to repair their car doesn't mean you'll take advantage of them by charging them exuberant amount of money for a quick fix. The AC compressor was only around $100-170, labor was $600+ ideal repair time 2-3 hours The AC condenser was only around $50-80, labor was $250+ ideal repair time 1 hour To the people who can see this. Please read this review carefully. Be wise enough and just don't say yes to everything. read more

I don't think he has taken a day off because I see him every time. They are very honest and I feel like being a girl, a lot of mechanics take advantage of me because they think I don't know much about cars. Let's clear this up. This Shell is located off of Little River across from the Safeway and Petco. The manager's name is Amir. I have been coming here almost a year now and the work/service is great. Previously, I was going to Route 1 Automotive and having issues with my car. (Another story) I spent $800 and still no resolution. My coworker recommended this place and I was NOT disappointed. Amir was able to pin point exactly what the issues were and gave me an estimate beforehand. He is extremely honest, knowledgeable and fair. Now for that I will return if necessary. I came here on a Friday afternoon & I think I waited about 30mins or so. I paid about $50 bucks for synthetic oil but I'm sure it'll vary based on how many qts are needed for the car. I had them replace my cracked radiator, which they did very quickly. However, before I drove off, I noticed they had flushed my coolant, but never re-filled it. When I asked the manager why I was charged $20 for coolant, but the container in the engine compartment was empty, he said that there doesn't need to be coolant in the container since they just put in a brand new radiator. Now, I'm no mechanic, but I'm pretty sure there should be coolant in the vehicle. When I politely reminded him that I just paid $300 for a radiator, and it'd be a shame for him to lose a customer by cheating me out of two dollars worth of coolant, he put coolant in the car and walked away. If these guys think cars don't actually need coolant, maybe I should find a more knowledgeable mechanic. If they think they can save over-head costs by skimping on $2 of coolant, they're rediculous. Vincent and the crew at the Shell station beside the Giant/Kmart are awesome. I don't let ANYBODY work on my car. I barely take it to the dealership without having a fit. I must say I've taken my Acura and my wifes Honda here about 5-6x's between the two since we moved in the area in February for various maintenance items. From shocks, brakes to motor mounts, the mechanics have been fast and professional and I have not had 1 issue with either vehicle. Worse place i have ever been to for any thing! I have taken my car there a few times and have had poor service and communication every time. I've even gone there sometimes just for a soda and have had bad service. The lady at the register is always on her phone and can never put it down long enough to say one word to me! When I took my car in for it's emissions I asked the service man where I should leave my car he waved his hand in my face as if saying not to bother him and went back to his phone conversation which by the sound of it seemed like a personal phone call. I had to talk to the same lady I can never get two words in with and she told me just leave it out side and someone would come to me. After sitting outside for a few minutes a man came up to me and said "hey what you want" and after I told him another man came up to me took my keys and told me it would be 20minutes. When I came back for my car several hours later. The lady showed me a bunch of keys and asked me which one was mine. Didn't even ask for my name. I could have walked out with anyone's car!!!! I asked the same man who waved me away and he didn't even look up from the tv show he was watching! They maybe cheap in price but you pay for what you get. read more

Each time I've had my vehicle in they have rushed to get the work done, don it well, and seem to charge far les than many other stations I have used in the past. The owner, Dong-Pyo Kim (Mr. Kim) always seem to have a hand in the solution to my problem and Vincent, who is the man you speak to when you walk in, has always been upfront with me telling me exactly how long the service will take and an extremely close estimate. Each staff member has been very pleasant to work with especially Vincent and Mr. Kim. If your car needs servicing this is the place to go.
