I have used this storage center for over 20 years. I am not sure when US Storage took over, but…read moresince then the service has deteriorated. When I worked the only time I could go to the unit was during the noon hour. This was before there was a door that could be open with code. 9 times out of 10 the office would be closed and I couldn't get in. The new door made access easier except when it didn't work, which was more than a few times. Last weekend I was unable to enter because the door was down and the staff took the weekend off. This was incredibly inconvenient and cost me a weekend of Christmas decoration. When I finally was able to contact a live person a very weak apology was given. My unit has been broken into twice. They did make adjustments to the door which seems to have solved that problem. The cost of the unit goes up every year and the service goes down. Lates fees are oppressive so pay on time. Don't expect any compensation from them if you can't access unit. If you wonder why I'm still with them the answer is I am disabled and I would have to first find another unit and then hire a mover. As soon as I am able that is what I will do. To summarize the customer service here is the worst I have ever had to deal with. If by some chance someone from US Storage try's to call me, I have tried to change the contact number multiple times . Every time they call they call the line they told me they would change.

I would not recommend this storage facility for valuable furniture, antiques, books, or belongings…read morethat would be difficult to replace. I stored a large amount of personal property here, including antique wood furniture, books, and other belongings. Before moving everything into the unit, I took photographs documenting that my property was dry and undamaged. After the property had been stored for an extended period, I discovered significant water damage and mold. Some of my furniture and other belongings were badly damaged, including items that were valuable and/or irreplaceable. What has been especially frustrating is dealing with the aftermath and trying to determine how the water entered the unit. I have spent a significant amount of time documenting the damage, communicating with the facility, and dealing with the separate SafeLease protection claim. I also strongly recommend NOT purchasing the SafeLease protection offered for your belongings without thoroughly reading the exclusions. I paid for this coverage specifically to protect my property, only to have my claim denied under the flood/surface water exclusion. SafeLease has not adequately explained to me what evidence established that an excluded cause was responsible for the damage or how other possible sources of water intrusion were ruled out. Based on my experience, the protection felt misleading and provided very little help when I actually needed it. I personally feel that paying for the SafeLease protection was a waste of money and would not purchase it again. I understand that unexpected damage can happen, but when you pay to store your belongings, you expect reasonable care in maintaining the facility and protecting customers' property. If you choose to store your belongings here, document absolutely everything before moving in. Take detailed photos of your belongings and the unit, keep all communications, and carefully read both the storage agreement and any separate protection plan. My experience has been extremely disappointing. I lost furniture, books, and personal belongings to water damage and mold, and have spent a considerable amount of time trying to determine what happened and recover my loss. I would not trust this facility with valuable or irreplaceable belongings again, and I would not purchase the SafeLease protection based on my experience.

I get a call on a Monday saying that one just came up at $134.00. Per month. I am currently at $173.74 per month. So common sense says take the smaller less expensive space. So I called back in 24 hours to accept the spot at $134.00 and now I was told that it is not available at this price and is higher then what I am paying now for a larger space due to what they say is the market price! Confused by this statement. Not sure what they mean by this but I am sure after posting this I will get a notice of another increase because I posted this . I am sure they would tell me it's market condition when they send me the increase notice.. I would hope sometime I would get a notice that the market is lower and they would decrease our space cost.
