I used to love having a unit here. It's safe, clean, and quiet. Recently I discovered the climate controlled units are not very climate controlled bc they are having trouble with their AC. No one has said anything to the clients here about that so I thought I was being helpful by letting them know what was going on. This is how I found out they've known this is an issue. Since there's not much they can do about it, they decided to keep it quiet until it's fixed. Which is shady but whatever. Ever since I spoke up for myself, it's been a bunch of run around and odd treatment and comments from management. Basically if I want better service I can pay more or I can move & there's no accountability for omitting or withholding that I've been paying for a service they can barely fulfill. If you care about climate controlled beware. Ask about their plans for replacing their ac's too. They'll tell you there will be a point in time where no climate control is present bc they're replacing everything. BUT you won't know any of this unless you ask. Terrible customer service. The representative made mistake after mistake--first quoting me the wrong price, then doubling it after realizing she was looking at the wrong units. She didn't understand how transfers worked and told me she couldn't lock in the rate. The next day, I got a call with a $110 price increase over what we had already negotiated. She kept apologizing and blaming it on "miscommunication," but the reality is she was completely unprepared and didn't know how to do her job. Extremely frustrating experience. read more

Do not rent a space from this storage facility. They're customer service is horrible. The owner Dylan and the District manager DD were very rude. The place is so unorganized that the owner who I spoke with did not even acknowledge that he was the owner. He called himself one of the team leaders. I had only had a rental there for only 5 months and then my rate was increased over 50% of the original rate. I had signed for a 6-month lease then they turn around and tell me the rental is only month to month lease, and they have the option of raising the rate at any time. Their excuse was that it was a market rate increase. I was not in the market for renting I had already rented the space 5 months ago. I would expect a rate increase for cost of living, but 50%! They are robbing customers blind. After dealing with DD, she told me that after the 6-month lease is completed I am no longer allowed to rent the unit. First, it's a 6-month lease then they say it only month to month. These people don't make any sense. Moving my things ASAP. I do not recommend renting from this storage company at all. read more

I needed a storage right away and they worked with me to give me the best size. Alberto who worked in the office is super friendly. When I was ready to move out they worked with me to not get billed being I was leaving a day after billing date. Then after I moved out they called to make sure I finished moving and that everything was okay. I highly recommend this location. read more

The storage facility is clean but a little shady in the evening. I saw what looked like homeless people in the inside of the gated area maybe staying in there car. I'm paying for a climate controlled unit but haven't had any climate control in my area for many months now. Wasn't that big of a deal during the winter months, but all summer it has been brutally hot in my so called "climate controlled" unit. Every time I go in and complain they use the same line... "the A/C company was supposed to be here today but they didn't show up". Site management's says there is nothing they can do because the lease doesn't guarantee consistent climate control. I acknowledge that they are not REQUIRED to provide any relief, but they could elect to do the right thing for their customers. They refuse to do anything and also won't let you contact their supervisor. This is nothing but greed in not wanting to pay for proper maintenance and utility costs. STAY AWAY!!! I'm moving out as soon as it cools off enough to move without dying of heat stroke. I will also be writing to Extra Space executive management and Board of Directors (they are a publicly traded company) to make sure they know what is going on, although I doubt they care because the tone of an organization starts at the top and the tone at Extra Space is horrid! read more

PSA - highly recommend never using this storage facility or any Extra Space storage facility. My parents stored their belongings and paid for the insurance - when they moved to a new home, all mattresses and clothing was ruined with Mice infestation. When they approached the "manager" he advised that they knew they had an issue and tried to eradicate them but it was no use. Filed with the insurance that they paid for, and they wouldn't even cover ONE new mattress replacement let alone all the other items that were ruined by this "KNOWN RAT INFESTATION" Sent letter to Extra Space corporate and were told "too bad" not our problem. Bad business to deal with and hope this helps someone in the future NOT have the same experience as my parents. It forced me to give them a star but this company doesn't deserve even one star ;( read more

I chose one star because I had to. This is for the DeZavala store. (Keep in mind that this is the owners one of ten storage businesses). I rented a 10 x 10 non-climate controlled unit in April. The manager of that store called me three times to get my business. I signed up for a monthly rate of $96. Which is a little high to begin with, but I needed a quick move out from my apartment. July 19 I received a card in the mail that my rent was going to increase by $80 on August 1. $80? Are you kidding me? No way was I going to pay $176 a month for this storage. What are they smoking? Since I temporarily live Out of state, I called to see if they would keep my current rate until I returned. The manager spoke with the owner who so graciously offered me a $10 discount a month. Oh so thoughtful, not! Then they had the nerve to tell me that I could just stay there at the high price until I returned because the rates were going to go down in October. What?! Isn't this price gouging? Needless to say, I moved to it different storage unit for $50 a month for the same size unit that is non-climate controlled. These owners should be ashamed. read more

Do not - I repeat DO NOT use this place. My rates have been bumped 40% in the past 2 years-- something I have called the office and 1888 number about -- and I have not received a call back. Then tonight - the gates/doors/elevators are not working and I do not have access to my storage. I keep my luggage in my storage - and I fly out in the morning! I originally picked this place due to the Yelp review and I'm so glad I did. This is a terrific company to do business with. As previously reviewed the units are climate controlled and it's highly secure. But that wasn't why I picked them or why I'm rating them high. First, you can use their website to find the type of space you want and reserve it online. They even help you figure out how much storage space you need based on your stuff. I rented a small unit that I could drive my car up to to load and unload stuff. Second, the staff are very friendly and helpful. It was easy to fill out the paperwork and I bought a heavy duty lock there. (You don't have buy it there, but I appreciated I didn't have to go run around to get a lock). If you call them, they answer the phone and they go out of their way to help you. I had setup online bill pay and had some issues with it and they were very helpful in getting the kinks worked out. Finally, when I emptied the unit out I simply called them and that was it! No hassles. If you need a storage place with reasonable prices and great customer service, go here. You won't be sorry. read more

We have had an excellent experience with this facility and Extraspace overall! We had a 10x20 unit for a little bit over a year; recently we requested to down size to a 10x10. James was awesome and went above and beyond to get us a smaller unit on the same floor that very same day. He worked out a very fair financial arrangement and it all went very smoothly. Made a reservation and when I called to confirm if unit available the manager Eduardo with a heavy accent ask me if I stored with them in the past because a while back he used to be at Huebner location and before he proceeded I remember that he is very cocky know it all that doesn't know how to take criticism. Eduardo If you are damaging someone ls property and after specifically being asked to stop you continue out of spite then you have that job as a so called manager because obviously they can't pay enough for a real manager to do a better job. As a manager you should have Customer service skills as well as apparently he knows nothing about being an actual manager or customer retention. What real professional manager would start with a be or starts a conversation with a potential customer in that manner wanting to loose business and not make the sale. If you rent from this people get ready to be given attitude by a know it all who act as if he owns the place and has no regards for other people's property. I just got my storage space today but so far I am extremely satisfied. I initially contacted them because of the reviews I saw here on yelp, but John is who sealed the deal. He was so friendly and informative on the phone I went ahead and decided to go in and check it out. The facility seems well secured and kept up with plus it is climate controlled which is a must for me. As I said before the gentleman John that assisted me was incredibly helpful, making sure I knew where everything was, multiple exits, how all the doors worked even where the bathrooms were if I were to need them while there! He left no question unanswered and made me feel very confident in my decision to rent a space with them. I wish all businesses had such great customer service. read more
