The staff is incredibly friendly and helpful. However, the large unit we rented (10X30) became infested with mice very quickly. There were no food items in the unit, nothing that would be an obvious attractant to the rodents. Just furniture, clothing, etc. We were only there for two weeks. Hundreds of dollars in property damage plus the cleaning fees for the undamaged property that was absolutely covered in rodent feces. The staff was again very friendly and sympathetic but did not offer any remediation or solution. read more

This is probably the best storage I have ever rented at. Everything is done by computer. You go in, enter your information (be sure to have id handy and to take a picture), pay with card, cash or check, and then pick your storage. Afterwards you're given an access code. Find your storage and the keys are inside. It's open 24 hours a day, seven days a week. I've even rented at 2am once. You also have the option of using the moving truck for free. This place is really easy and simple and I've never had problem like I've had with other storage places (weird fees, lost locks, limited availability). You would think with the inability to talk to a live person this would make it complicated but in fact it makes it so much easier. The first month is usually only $21 dollars too. I haven't been to their Boerne location but the Helotes location is a bit out of the way. if you're near the area the convenience is well worth it. They used to have a nice little lobby with free bottles of water and use of the bathroom but I guess because it's completely public people would just go and snatch free water so they got rid of it :( Safe, convenient, and clean. By setting up a users account on the Ten Oaks Storage area with email and other data, it is very convenient to make payments. I really appreciated the monthly email reminders so there is no excuse for being late with your payment.
