NOT TRUTHFUL WITH ME - BAD CUSTOMER EXPERIENCE…read more Unfortunately, I had rated them five stars...until I left after several months. I had been out of the country and, after a long drive home, got home from the airport at 2:00 in the morning. I called Anchor's Office Manager and said, "I know today is the last day of the month, but can you pro-rate me one day so I can come in this weekend?" He said they don't pro-rate charges, but for just one day, they wouldn't charge me if I vacated first thing in the morning. I DID...AND A COUPLE OF DAYS AFTER I LEFT, THEY CHARGED MY CREDIT CARD FOR A FULL MONTH ANYWAY. Had I known they were going to be untruthful, I would have left the car there for the month! Instead, I paid a full month's rent for a vacant spot that they rented out. I asked the Office Manager to email his supervisor's contact information to me, which he agreed to, but never did. THIS LEFT A VERY BAD TASTE IN MY MOUTH. This was a very bad customer experience.

That being said it is exteremly well kept, clean and in good overall condition. The staff is very friendly and helpful. The overall experience was great. My only comment is I wish the gate hours were a little more extensive. I think they are probably set the same as the office hours for security reasons.

Someone broke into our unit by sawing off the latch and removing our locks. We lost tens of…read morethousands of dollars of camera gear and other high priced items.. While we were moving out someone with an adjacent unit told us that this was his third incident of burglary there. We asked management to review the footage from numerous cameras and they replied, stating that there are 600 people using this storage. We replied that during the incident surely not all 600 were on the premise at that time. Would they please narrow down the people by finding who had signed into the facility during the period right before the burglary and then checking the cameras during that period. They did not show an attitude of helpfulness of doing this. Probably our items are in someone else's storage unit adjacent to ours with no hope of catching the thieves. Why even have cameras then? We are not there anymore and have suffered a devastating loss. To make matters worse I did receive a bill from them after we had moved out, by the end of the month , which I consider extremely poorly done after having lost so much.

RAT INFESTED: say goodbye to your belongings that you paid too much to store in the first place…read more Nota bene: The high ratings for this place were for a time when the storage units were under previous ownership, and the previous, awesome owners have been replaced by the rentier bourgeois of the worst kind. This used to be the best storage unit in Reno--it was the most affordable, the staff was very friendly, and it was convenient to pay online. Unfortunately, it was sold about a year ago to new owners based out of Roseville. They jacked up the prices by 25%, they ask you to pay by check (as if it's 1995), and only recently did they make payment by Paypal available (for a $3/month fee!). The units are infested with rodents, to which the new owners respond by telling tenants to set mouse traps. There is no lighting provided in the units, either. Oh, and there isn't a dumpster anywhere in sight. Just to be clear, these new owners raised the rates to a ridiculously high amount, they instituted a fee to pay online (the previous owners did not charge you for paying via Paypal), the units are rodent infested (but the elevated rates don't help this matter in the least), there is no lighting in the units, and there's nowhere to put your trash. All the new owners care about is collecting your money, full stop. DO NOT RENT HERE. They might argue that they've used the increased rents to pay for a keypad gate system (instead of paying an actual employee to work there). Granted, this is a step up from the goon they had walking around harassing tenants to verify that they were up to date on payments. Extremely intrusive. Bottom line: this place is the *worst*, the owners are greedy, exploitative, and your belongings will be ruined by rodents.

As we are living in New Zealand, good communication and a fair price made this a easy choice. What made it even better was the friendly on-site staff and convenient location to the Budget Truck rental depot as well as other important post Burning Man stops. Update for 2014: Linden Mini Storage is actually a UHaul dealer so you can sort out storage and transport all from one Burning Man friendly place.

I really appreciated this since I'm not familiar with this city. She also explained the current promo's available "first month's rent only one dollar" . Yes please! I signed the lease agreement via email. I received my unit number and entry codes prior to move in. The morning of the move was seamless, I arrived early prior to office hours. The lock I purchased through Public Storage was located inside the clean climate controlled unit. This particular Public Storage location was impressively clean, zero trash inside or out! We never encountered employees although, the move in / move out was easy- peasy as intended.

Really disappointing experience from start to finish…read more I rented a third floor unit and showed up around 6 PM with a U-Haul ready to move everything in. The elevator kept getting stuck and honestly felt pretty janky, there were no carts anywhere that we could find, and there was no property manager available to help. We finally gave up, loaded everything back into the U-Haul, took it back to where it came from, and then had to return the truck. I emailed Public Storage that same day, September 20, explained exactly what happened, and asked to cancel the unit and receive a refund. No response. I called on the 21st, 22nd, and 23rd trying to get ahold of someone. I tried their online chat too, which basically just sent me around in circles. I finally reached an actual person on the 24th, but only because I selected the option to rent a new space. Apparently that's how you get a human. After all of that, instead of just helping me resolve it over the phone, I was told I needed to physically meet with the property manager. So now I have to take more time out of my day to deal with a unit I never even moved into. At this point, I disputed the charge with my bank. Things go wrong. I understand that. What really made this such a bad experience was how incredibly difficult it was to get anyone to actually help me afterward. I would not recommend this location.
