They'll give you a good deal/price to move in and just as soon as you get your stuff in and put your lock on, you'll get a notice the rent has gone up, and then up again, and up again, and up again. No respect for the customer, terrible response, he did not know how to use office printer for customer receipts. We would have to wait 15 to 20 minutes for printer receipts, and he would say do not disturbed him during this period. Company's greed with TWO rate increases. Down the street from Wrondel, same size storage unit is $46.00 per month cheaper. Our unit roll up door was not sealed which cause excessive dirt and insects to enter our stored items. Several times our entrance code would not work. When we called him to open the gate, his response was to wait, which would take 15-20 minutes, and then he would hang up the phone. I actually went here because of reviews on Yelp, in spite of the area of town it's in. I try and trust my fellow yelpers, and it had some good reviews and good prices on line. I called to confirm they were there, and open on a Saturday (a woman answered and said yes) I drove over and it took me about 20 minutes, and there was no place to park (one spot on the street) it was really difficult to see where to park, where to go in, which was the office. There were signs saying "don't park here" that were next to the place, but I managed finally to find a spot. Went to the office, and there was a sign saying they'd be back at 2:00! So I drove all that way with a load of stuff and they weren't even there! So went to the 2nd place on my list, and they were there and gave me an even better deal! Seriously though, on Saturday someone should be there all day if you care about new customers coming in. read more

If you like friendly service and a convenient location, Wrondel Self Storage is the place for you. Sadly, you must also enjoy rodents and water damage. We stored household items here during an extensive home remodel and upon move out found water damage to some furniture, numerous dead rodents dispersed throughout our unit and feces in and around our property. Perhaps the newer rental units are in better shape, but ours on the #80's row was pretty bad. Find another location. read more

I really wanted to like this place. The staff (at least the old staff) seemed really burner-friendly and the prices were decent. Our camp would go to our unit from time to time to clean our stuff and get rid of old items, they allowed us to use their hose to wash stuff and dumpster for trash on site. However, when we checked out of our unit because we outgrew it, an angry manager called and said we shouldn't have been using their dumpster and because of that they're not giving us our refund back. I guess policies change pretty drastically when they know they're not earning money from you anymore. Oh well, on to the next! read more

Been a tenant here now for about 4 months. The property is always clean, the people that work there are super nice and friendly. The guy even got me a great deal for our unit. Possibly my worst experience with customer service in a long time. Manager was unhelpful, rude and had a pushback for every comment. I had already signed all docs on line and showed up to get the code and unload into the unit. Made me wait 20 minutes while he showed another customer another unit and did their paper work. "First come, first served" - couldn't bother just to give me the code so I could enter the facility. Then finally after giving me the code and wrong directions (i.e. put in the code, and got down about a third of the way on the left past the gate), I learned that the unit was in fact OUTSIDE the control gate and showed break-in damage on the lock mechanism. Came back to the manager who then advised he was still busy with paperwork for other and made me wait another 15 minutes until he could bother to remove the lock on that unit that I had already paid for. At this point I said do you have another unit that is inside the gated yard so it is secure. He told me that since I had made the mistake of signing up on line, he could not change the unit. At this point I had steam coming from my ears and told him to just cancel entirely. I also made the observation that in a longline I had never encountered such lousy customer service and used an Anglo-Saxon word for such a person. He then said "Look at my reviews on Google - they're all good." I assured him that I would make sure to post a review myself. No one should be so desperate as to do business with this guy. read more

When i choose this place to have mail and storage the office manager was very nice and customer service friendly. But my family was affected by covid 19 and put my family in a real financial hardship which in turn has made life difficult. But the manager has changed from customer service friendly to jerk of the year he has a attitude if i ask him a question he wants us to move if we dont like the way he is treating us and wont help my husband needed his medicine out of our box because he is a chronic care Veteran and this man only gave us one key so its not like we can both have access. So he has more than one time wouldnt assist my husband with giving him the mail my husband has proper military id and so i wad looking on the website and noticed that i pay a way higher rate than what is being advertised and the discount of senior which my husband is 69 and miltary which we also have identification discounts ive never gotten. I called customer service they are bottom of the totum pole and have no say so. So its really unfortunate that i feel i will try to seek storage else where since our business isnt wanted here. read more

Great prices and service. I worked with Johnny mostly. He is very professional, knowledgeable, and helpful. When I moved to Reno we needed a place to store some furniture. The prices were just right. After I reserved a storage until there was error on their system which resulted in me losing my reserved unit. Johnny corrected it immediately and gave me a discount my first month. read more

I rented a storage unit from this place for over two years. When I vacated the property I visited the front office and made a few questions about the exit process. The Ass. Manager was extremely rude and embarrassed me in front of a few family members. When I asked to speak w/someone else, he handed me his card as if challenging me to complain! I took the initiative to de-escalate the situation - something HE should have done. This PERSON HAS NO CUSTOMER SERVICE EXPERIENCE and should not be in this position if he can not LEAD BY EXAMPLE! I WOULD NOT RETURN TO THIS FACILITY as long as he is employed there! read more

DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY. I have nothing but bad experiences with this place. They are extremely rude anytime you ask for anything. I've even had the guy that works there call me names. They refuse to let me talk to the owner or any higher up that was in charge. They were always on vacation. Plus there is ALWAYS trash, and not to mention bums living in there. I've even almost stepped on a dirty needle while I was taking my things out of there. I gave them several chances, and every time I got treated like dirt. If they do not enjoy their jobs they need to go work elsewhere.when I was packing up my things to leave I almost stepped on a syringe that was on the ground near my unit. Yes I decided to go spend my money else where. Not to mention the first day I was moving a few of my items in I stepped on an ant pile by a fence ON THE ROAD, and got bit all over my ankle by red ants. I told the maintenance guy he called me a liar, so I proceeded to show it to him. He didn't apologize to me, but did say he would take care of it. Months later now that I decided to leave that ant pile has not been taken care of, and has only gotten bigger. Like I said DO NOT GO THERE its a waste of money, they are lazy, extremely rude, the place is disgusting, and they never help you when you need somwthing done. Switched from Public Storage when they raised the rent without the 30 day notice. Yes, it was closer to my house and a bit more money, but the cleanliness was night and day over the other place. I have used storage in the past and had some pretty frustrating experiences. I had to get storage again about 2 months ago when we moved to Reno. I called about a week before and the manager was really helpful. I made a reservation for a 10x15 and it was already ready when I got there. The move in was super easy and painless. I had rented a U-haul from a different place and was able to unload my stuff and just return it there. I got 25% off my rent for 4 months and they already had one of the lowest prices in the area. It was a really easy place to find too. Plus the manager recommended a couple of places in town to eat since all my stuff was in boxes. Half of it still is! :( I would have to say though that if you need a storage unit don't waste your time anywhere else. read more
