In my opinion - This is one of the worst businesses in Reno . The manager is an incompetent rude individual who has no regard for customers or really just being a human. They hide costs and fees, they try to purposely make tenants lose their belongings so they can go through them before selling them. Please if you have any choice do not store belongings, if you must do yourself a favor and go somewhere else. This is just one persons opinion - use caution and judge for yourself!! OH YES. I recently added a second storage unit at the Ambassador Drive facility in NW Reno. I am very pleased by the prompt, courteous and competent help. It certainly reduces the stress of being in a situation where storage of personal items is needed. I am also very impressed by how incredibly clean everything is. I am glad that the setting is very safe. I do wish they had mover dollies in each building bc it seems a long hike to bring one back and forth from the front. I moved out of Reno for a few months and needed a clean, secure storage unit to store all my belongings until I got back. I chose this location due to the amazing service provided by Ken and his staff. They were easy to talk to via phone, quick to answer my questions, and provided excellent customer service. I mentioned to Ken that I would not need the entire month of May, and he helped me find a lease period that would save me money (prorated rate for the days I needed in May!). Ken also helped me with payment in advance which saved me a lot of stress throughout the moving period. When I came back to Reno to pick up my stuff, my family and I consolidated our boxes and had rubbish we needed to take out without a place to throw it out. I'm a teacher by trade and left the classroom a little over 5 years ago. Teachers spend a ton of their personal money on materials and supplies, so it makes sense to store your stuff in the event that you need it again. After 5 years, I'm coming to the realization that the cost/benefit of storing my stuff is no longer in my favor so I'm in the process of cleaning out my unit. The staff was friendly when I opened my account, offered me a few months of free rent since my stay was "indefinite." They sold me a lock on site to utilize there, which honestly is a great lock. The maintenance guy that drives around on a golf cart is friendly and comes to say hi when you visit your unit, always busy with maintenance stuff. The units are kept clean inside and out. I just went through everything in my 5x10 unit and with the exception of 3-4 spiders, everything has been kept safe, dry, and properly stored. Security is easy and obviously effective, so no qualms there. My reason for the 4 stars instead of 5 is the continual rent hikes. I realize it's been over 5 years, but when I first started storing there, my unit was $69/month, then it went up to $75/mo, and so on and so on to where now it's $89/month and it's been that way for a while so I'm expecting another rate hike here soon. I wish that they'd grandfather long term renters lower rates. Needless to say, I'm cleaning it out this month and being done with paying for materials to not be utilized, I'm donating everything to my sons' school. read more

Moved from California to Reno and hit the jackpot when I found Interstate U-Stor. Its such a clean, professional place! My unit is perfect. They are always willing to help with sweeping or moving items. My seond jackpot was that they offer a storage garage sale several times during the year! The office is outrageous especially for Christmas! Décor is fabulous! What a wonderful job they do. You can really tell that this business knows what they are doing! Every single person that works there is a professional. They really keep this property superb! Just heard that they are building an RV Storage down the road which I know will be the bet around! I have leased at several places throughout the city. The staff here are very pleasant and helpful. A major bonus is that they allow a storage-wide "garage sale" that they even advertise for. Most units don't allow this. Dennis is awesome! I believe he is the owner. Extremely friendly. They've let me use tape, dollys, and they have a truck they allow you to use. This place is the best. Dennis and staff are highly professional, incredibly friendly and always going above and beyond for their customers. It's a very clean and secure facility. You get to use their truck to move your things, which saves a lot of money and hassle. They also have huge garage sales a couple times a year. I moved from Reno and rented a unit for over 10 years as I was looking for a permanent home. I would give them 10 stars if I could as I can't recommend this facility enough. Dennis and Carlos are very friendly and professional. I felt like I was their only customer whenever I went into the office or called. They knew who I was and did anything they could to accommodate my needs. The facility is clean and very secure. As an example of their attention to detail, during a recent visit, I neglected to latch my unit before locking it. The staff saw this and applied their own lock to secure my unit until I retuned the next day. They allow use of their truck for free for moving items that has a dolly and a ramp. I filled my 10X10 unit with a single trip. While I wasn't able to make use of it, they offer "garage sales" a few times throughout each year so people can sell items out of their units. I wouldn't hesitate to rent another unit from them. read more
