AMAZING customer service. I called soooooo many storage places around town desperate to find a good deal. Not only did I find that I found one of the BEST customer service experiences I have ever had. Sarah answered all my questions and was so helpful and KIND. Even though they were full at the moment she encouraged me to call back since they did have some move outs pending. I did call back 2 days later and Connie helped me rent a unit right away. Connie was also very helpful and lovely to work with. This place is locally owned and they are not going to raise your rent multiple times like the big name places. I cannot say enough positive things about this storage company. The woman who helped me over the phone was SO sweet, knowledgeable and helpful! I must have asked the same question a dozen times and I was given a very nice answer each time. They acknowledged that moving was stressful and if I needed anything else to give her a call back. Apparently, they had a screw-up with their credit card system/company and had to have everybody re-set-up their auto pay. What a hassle for me. So I took time to set it up again and thought that was it. Apparently, since I have two units, I had to set it up twice even though I get charged every month (for years) on one charge to my credit card. Not even sure if that was an option to do both units when I did the re-set-up. Anyway, they email me a past-due notice for my second unit that included late fee, telephone payment fee, and preliminary lien fee. I called to get it straightened up and they agreed to waive the late fee and telephone fee. For some reason, they refused to waive the Preliminary Lien Fee. I explained that the basis for this fee is their screw up, and I have a thing about paying for other people's screw-ups, especially since I have been a pretty good customer for many many years. Wouldn't give me the name and number of the owner who really should know that pissing off a good customer over a few dollars is bad business. read more

Northwest Self Storage is the best storage facility in Reno. Their prices are the lowest I have seen (and we called a lot of places). They offer storage units as well as RV storage. The staff is amazingly nice and helpful. They go out of their way to help customers find the right space. There are so many ways to pay, including auto pay, and online pay as well. We rented a space from them to store our utility trailer and we never had any problems whatsoever. The space is secure, clean and easy to get in and out. It is easy to get in and out of the lots and the hours make access to my unit more than convenient. I filed a police report as the Manager requested. I also have plenty of insurance. We all know that filing on your insurance just cost you in the long run. Cost you for the negligence of someone you intrusted your property too. The manager told me of the problem employee who they suspected of stealing - also that they destroted the appartment they were staying in on the premis when confronted about their actions. Northwest self storage solution is to send me a letter asking me to move my motor home and no longer keep it there - even though I had previously told them I had been seriously ill with a life threatening illness. Then when I went to move it - amazingly it would not start - strang for a newer low mileage unit that I just spent 2200 on doing all recommended maintenance on?? The so called resolution was to take back their 3 months free rent they had already credited me for the problem- I have a paid receipt with NO CONDITIONS on it and they have charged my debit card for the same period - UMMM - sounds like a claim I NEED TO FILE with my Visa debit card. If they cant keep agreements they put in writing ?? Then can you really trust anything they say? Just sayin? read more

We have rented a space for our motorhome from the nice folks at NW Self Storage for several years. Never a problem with security, the storage grounds are very clean and well maintained, with easy access. A great convenience is the onsite dump station, so nice to pull in after a long trip and take care of things without having to search for a spot before pulling back into storage. Though Reno does not receive a lot of snow, when they do it is removed in a timely fashion. Next year we plan on purchasing a trailer, I hope they have space for us! read more

The ladies here are uber cool! This is a very integral business. Had my storage unit here for about two years and I can't say enough good things about how they run their operation and about the confidence and security I felt storing my belongings with them. They are very visible on the property during business hours. If you have any issues or concerns they are amazingly helpful and accommodating! They have worked with me upon leaving and I have seen them work with others when in the office.They run a structured and clean operation. You will not see loitering, weirdos or anything that causes concern about having your property stored on theirs. There is limited access to your unit...daylight hours only but for that very little minor inconvenience I was grateful.... it is for security reasons.... they are securing the property for you and for your belongings! They told me they had encountered a few issues at night so they structured the hours to protect me and my property. THANK YOU!! Just be a nice human to them....no shenanigans and they'll be so dam cool with you! My boyfriend and I who each have a unit in that place often will say to one another ..." We just really love Northwest Storage!" Thanks for being clean and safe and cool! I know where I'm telling my friends to go who have storage needs.
