Beware that as soon as you rent and move into a space they jack up the price ALOT assuming you won't bother to move all your stuff. We are so out of there!! Although front desk staff is very nice they have no say in this price gouging and were actually surprised themselves by it when they looked up our prospective rent for December. read more

Lani and kathi are amazing people. They are always busy. i had a ba accident so I can't drive or leave my house unless for a Drs apt and one of my sons drives me. Its a lot for me just to shower ( which I need help) and to make Drs apts. I can't do anything really except sit at home . My thinking is kinda messed up right now and a lot of things are hard for me . Every time one of my storage units are due , both Lani and Kathy call me to remind me. They also ask if I want them to use my card on file to pay it for me. it very helpful to me . I've never had such great customer service from a companes employee . Its nice when I get that message from either one of them because it's not just a reminder message they also ask how I'm doing. I haven't been around people in awhile so it means a lot to me . They don't have to do all the things they do for me and other customers , it's just how kindhearted they are . When I use to go in to pay either one of my storage units . They would also ask how that person was doing and if anything else they could do . You could see the bond they had with each person. When I was waiting and costumer were leaving or waiting like me . Customers were always saying they appreciated me and other customers for waiting and how these girls actually care . I've heard that so many times . Lani and kathi want their store to have great customer service. They don't do it for just for that reason . They both do it out of the kindness of their hearts. This review is based on the events that happened on November 2, 2015. StorQuest made some promises for which I removed the review. They have not held to the promised pricing for my friends so I am reposting it. I along with 2 friends all have separate storage lockers at this location. My friends, who don't want to be identified because they still rent there and are afraid of possible retaliation from the new owners, have 2 units and I have 1. When we rented our units the complex was known as "Super Space Self Storage". Over the past 3 years I have rented several lockers as I have needed them. My friends rented 1 large unit about 3 years ago and added a second one about a year ago. This storage complex offers regular storage units as well as what they called "climate controlled". The climate controlled units cost more and include a dry, secure indoor space that has heat and air conditioning. At least that is the way they are advertised. The unit I had was for a short term to keep some equipment someone gave me, and when I rented the unit it was for a month with the option of keeping it for an additional week or two (or longer) if needed. The terms that I agreed to when taking the unit where that when I paid the rent it was paid, but it was not required that was an entire month. On Friday, October 30, 2015 I drove by the complex on my way to a Halloween party and noticed that the name on the signs was changed to "StorQuest". The following day, the 31st, I decided to extend the unit a week instead of having to move it out on Halloween. I tried to call the complex but instead of getting the location I was connected to a "National Call Center". This national call center had never heard of the location and was unable to help me. On Sunday, November 1st, I drove over to the complex to pay the rent. The location has Sunday hours but there was a note on the door that they were closed. (Picture below). On Monday, November 2, I went back with my friends. There was an attendant in the office, named Tim. The office itself was stripped. Holes in the walls where there had been artwork and other things. All the furniture outside of the built in counter was gone. It felt weird. It's important to note that I talked to 3 members of the new company's staff. Tim was professional and tried his best to assist. His manager (or supervisor) was named Manny, and Manny needs to find a job outside of customer service. His attitude and approach where very poor. So what happened? We went back to the storage lockers to see if I could fit one of my larger items in my friend's unit so I could move out. First thing that happened is Tim informed me that he would not honor the terms of my rental agreement because it was a new company. He was willing to give me 2 more days, but it was either move or pay the entire month. But that wasn't the big problem. The big problem is when we went to look the expensive, dry climate controlled units were flooded. Water was everywhere! There are about 8 lockers that were flooded, their contents potentially ruined. It was at this time that Tim informed us that he had no additional units, and said he didn't know what we should do. My friends, with some valuable possessions in the unit (which is why they paid for the "climate controlled") were very upset, she was crying. All Tim did was tell us why his boss said they weren't responsible. In my opinion letting this happen was negligence. But they didn't apologize, they didn't offer another unit, they didn't even offer to help move everything which we were in no condition to be able to do at the time. Tim finally found another unit on the other end of the building, but still no offer to help us move, not even a discount on the rent was offered. While this was going on we were taking pictures and videos of the damage caused by the (in my opinion) negligence of the storage owners. Tim, again not offering any help, came to me to tell me that his boss said "it was illegal to take pictures because it was private property." Talk about an a**hole (Manny, not Tim). After 3 hours we finally got the contents moved and then had to rebox everything because the cardboard boxes were ruined. My issue here is that we should have been offered an apology by Manny. Good customer service would of dictated at the very least a free month's rent. The pictures below were all taken prior to Manny, through Tim, telling me it was "illegal" to take pictures. I will honor their request and not publish anything following the request. Manny, if this is what you consider proper property management, good customer service and being professional, you need to get mental help. You are clearly a bad manager and terrible at public relations. I recommend everyone to avoid this facility and really any facilities with the StorQuest name. At least until they learn how to do things better, and to have some compassion in an emergency. read more

This is a decent place if you need to keep your items in storage for less than 2 months, after that expect ridiculous price increases with little to no notice. I started off playing $87 for an 8x8 16 months ago. A year ago the rate was raised to $97 and last month it was raised again (with no notice) to $109per month. I live down the street and never see any customers in the parking lot here. It makes me think that this place is raising rates to compensate for poor business. At least these crooks motivated me to clean my garage out to store my things there instead. Don't do business here. read more

StoreQuest has some of the nicest and most secure storage units in South Reno. However, beware the desk sales agents does not fully disclose the requirements to rent their units. Having visited this facility and viewed their lockers, we ask the agent to hold the unit. We discovered the on-line price for the unit we were interested in listed for $15 less per month. When we received a call to confirm our interest in the unit, the agent agreed to match the on-line price. We packed up car with the first load for the locker. On a Sunday early afternoon, we attempted to do the paperwork to rent the locker. The agent stated we needed to purchase THEIR insurance or provide proof of insurance. Having no prior notice of this requirement, we did not have documentation of our insurance with us. The agent suggest we simply download our policy. They did NOT provide a secure link for us to download our policy. Further, we refused to show all the detail of our policy. THE AGENT SHOULD HAVE TOLD US OF THE INSURANCE REQUIREMENT AT OUR FIRST VISIT. We returned two days later with a letter from our insurance company stating we were covered for the next 12 months. We then started the process to contract for the locker. The agent then stated we need to pay a $24 administrative fee. WE WERE GIVE NO PRIOR NOTICE OF THE ADMINISTRATIVE FEE. She insisted she told us this at our first visit. Nether my wife or I hear her say this. Nothing is posted in their office or on-line about the administrative fee or the insurance requirement. Having been a vice president at three major universities, I know how to listen and remember what people tell me. We wondered what other information StoreQuest would yet request. Would the need to see my passport, my birth certificate, my IRS 1040 etc.? Obviously, StorQuest has a serious problem training their personnel. read more

PREDATORY PRICING I rented a storage unit from StorQuest in Dec, 2015. 6 months later, they raised their prices 10%!!! I contacted the staff and, after a bit of a go-around, they agreed to reset my fee to the original amount. The following month, I discovered that they had raised their rates again. When I contacted their office, they "informed" me that they had decided only to waive the increase for 1 month. StorQuest is already the most expensive storage facility in Reno. Raising rates 10% every 6 months is predatory pricing. $82 for a 5X5? I think not! Take your business someplace else, where you can obtain fair rates from a company that values loyal customers. Clearly, StorQuest thinks they can make more money squeezing their customers. read more

On the surface StorQuest seems like a great deal; excellent location, clean, secure units. In reality it is a total trap. Their rates are airways comparatively high but after 6 months they raise the rent by nearly 30% to match what "new clients" are paying. Their explanation is "raising rent in Reno makes this acceptable." So if you want to be charged every few months with a company that doesn't value loyal customers then sign up for StorQuest. read more

I had been talking to Jeanette for almost 2 weeks before I was finally able to get the storage unit I wanted. In that time the weather was relentless and we were unable to move. Jeanette assured me that she would hold my reservation. She told me about the specials they were having on the different size units and how the specials work. When I realized the unit that I wanted was too small she said that she would let me know when one opened up that she could apply the special to. In between my initial call and the day we moved in the weather was relentless. Jeanette kept in contact with me, kept me updated and was very patient with me and my questions. I chose the location because it was close to my home however if Jeanette had been at the other end of town I would have no hesitation to store my belongings wherever this girl works. She's an absolute pleasure to work with. The facilities are immaculate, climate controlled and secure. I would highly recommend StorQuest storage units to anyone. They have a five star rating from me! read more

Just retired to the Reno area needed a place to store a few things during the process of moving into our new home. We picked this facility due to the location close to our new home and I glad we did, very clean and secure. The staff are very friendly and helpful especially being new to the area and not knowing our way around town. Finally able to down size to a smaller unit after months of sorting through boxes, Geraldine and Jenette are very nice and helpful. Jenette showed us a few smaller units as close as possible to our current one made moving stuff go smoothly and faster; also having carts on grounds for customer's to use makes things nice on the back. read more
