My experience has been nothing but good - so as I'm reading the 1 star reviews I am alittle surprised. They are old reviews, so I guess things have changed (hope so!) I booked online, and got a call confirming move-in date, and they wanted to make sure someone was there when I needed to move-in. I moved in on a 1/2 off special. Great prices IMO. It's a safe area (hope so!) Clean, and the people I worked with were professional and kind. I booked a 10x5 initially, realized it was too small once I got there, and they moved me to a 10x10 drive up with zero issues. Gates are working, and not alot of people going in and out when I was there. I need to go check on things after the big storm last week, but here's hoping there isn't any damage from snow melt or leakage. It's out a-ways. I live in town, but work near storage so that makes it tolerable especially for the price. Would recommend. read more

warning . warning . please run if you don't want your units to be broken in to without being told. you will find our once you want to move your items out of it . there is nothing you can do about it. the manager jannet is extremely .rude. un professional . she does not care about any customers including you. she talks to customers with no respect. you won't get the respect of a customer . the customer service is worse than a 3rd world country. when we ask to speak with her boss she says. there is no one above her. i know she is lying. i hope her managers gets to see this msg so they would konw how terrible she is. she will run those places to go bankrupt.just by her attitude and unprofessionalism and being mean to customers who pay her salary. i have not seen anything like this before. not mentioning the bait and switch game of them with the price it is a tolal rip off. people please take your business elsewhere. read more

Nice enough people up front, but after less than two months. I was notified that they are raising unit rent next billing cycle from $88 to $155, an unweildy and bait and switch 76% increase -- all of this for a poor quality unit that is highly susceptible to the severe dust problem this location is known for. StorQuest Self Storage - Beware! 76% increase after only two months. - Self Storage Near Me - Reno, Nevada

Unlike many other places, this brand raises the initial price, after only one month. Which is not clear from the outset. Most offer an initial 3 months, at the least. Another surprise was realizing they did not sign me up to auto pay as requested. I had said I wanted auto pay, and it was forgotten. So, I was super surprised to find my unit locked, when I visited the second month. In the process of trying to assess why that had taken place, the younger staff member was very disrespectful, and hostile, as she attempted to place the blame on me. That being said I did store my stuff for the better part of 6 months, without issue. The unit is safe. This was until I was moving out. I just appeal to the old adage " the customer is always right " when they are asking a question. When a customer goes to move, occasionally, if not frequently, it would be helpful for them to have a garbage bin handy. So, I would suggest, at the very least, keeping a garbage bin, as a complimentary service. Instead, when I brought it up to the store manager, she acted like she had never heard of such a thing. Which added another 2 hours to my move out. I had asked if we could sign the unit over to them, at first, which she declined, then she got all upitty, and told me they would charge me three months rent. Apparently she also assumed I would not be able to pay, and would need to go to collections, which was an obvious slight. I guess the 6 months of on time payments didn't make a difference. Either way, an appeal to some kind of sensible solution would be to maintain a garbage bin. It's super awkward to find out there are differences in standard practices, at this company. Almost all of the other companies do. Also, people from Reno happen to be a bit judgy and bizarre, but these people take the cake, and are super annoying. Who do you think you are? Anyways? It's always hit or miss, with these storage places, like these, but you just hope to find the helpful, honest, and respectful ones. There was also another issue with service staff, upon move out, when I was fully loaded up, and exhausted, like really tired, and ready to get on the road, the person at the office was mocking of my exhaustion, as though that was somehow a testament to my character. I've rented at 8 StorQuest locations over the years. 2 years here $405/mo, rate increases frequently. This is a poorly managed location. Snarky attitudes at the front desk - lots of turnover. They gave my business late access until 10 pm, but randomly lock you in. Our contract says 10pm, they locked me in 3 times just before 9pm. No answer from their "emergency #" - they send you to voicemail and it may take an hour or more to get out. My first negative review on Yelp - but they richly deserve it. Be warned! read more

I was very impressed with the level of service and support StorQuest offered. You're paying for top quality features compared to some of the other low price facilities. I organize a Burning Man camp, and run operations from out of state and needed somewhere secure, that had late hours of operations and would handle packages for us. StorQuest was vital to our logistics and Geraldine at StorQuest is such a kind, supportive and responsive person who made me feel very taken care of storing with StorQuest. Really love this storage facility! I got such a good monthly deal on their website and I was able to register and sign my paperwork completely online. It was a hassle free experience and their brand new storage area is definitely worth 5 stars. It was very clean, easy to access and indoor! The only thing was I had to buy a new lock there and I wasn't informed of that until I arrive. It's $20 for the new type of lock needed in the new area. The customer service was really great and Sharon was such a joy to talk to and work with! I would recommend this place if your shopping around for a storage. read more

Great customer service, when we entered the office Sharon greeted us with a nice friendly smile and was very pleasant throughout all the paperwork. We picked this place because the price was good with discount and it Was clean and in a good area. Don't let the 1.00 fIrst month rental fool you, it's for the new storage area with climate control which isn't fInished yet. That's the reason for the 4 star review. This place is the worst. First off they were more expensive than other places by a large margin. Second they sold us on features that aren't going to be installed for "quite a while". When asked why they were so much more expensive the response was just they're better. One of the things that sold us though was that there would be someone in the office when they said they would be. We had been to other places where we waited for employees that weren't there or out on the property. Well we showed up during their posted office hours on a Sunday and they were closed despite their office hours on their door saying they were supposed to be open. So the one thing that was supposed to set them apart and they're no different. Save your money and go somewhere else. read more

Went to a different storage unit got a 10x10 for way cheaper and I could drive up to my storage unit and start unloading. This place is way to expensive. read more

I have been renting here for 12 years. Sharon is friendly, caring and extremely considerate. In the past year Sharon and staff have assisted me with multiple short term rentals for a move, billing / technical questions and she even offered personal help when I experienced some auto issues while on site. I called around to a ton of storage facilities and this was the only one with immediate availability. We were able to get a storage unit the same day, which was great. We've had mixed experiences with this place, though. They require Renter's insurance, but didn't give us the option of getting it through our current policy- we had to use theirs. Also, I don't know if the gate was broken or what, but we went a handful of times over a 3 week period, and the gate was left up during that entire time, essentially leaving the entire facility open to the public. Lastly, they just repaved, which looks nice, but when we opened up our storage unit, everything in it was covered in dust and dirt from the road being repaved(including some our our upholstered furniture, which will need a full shampoo job to get clean). I let them know and they apologized and told us that all of the units were affected by the repaving (which if they knew about, they should have informed us). Overall, it's a decent storage facility in a nice neighborhood, but we will be happy to leave when we move to a larger house and don't need additional storage any longer. read more

Kira and Geraldine are nothing but helpful. Always so warm and welcoming. The facilities are always clean and I am always kept in the loop with everything going on. They recently redid the asphalt and it looks incredible! There was a bit of dust from the asphalt being done and when I mentioned it to Kira and Geraldine they were so kind and offered to bring the leaf blower and blow the dust out. They never got irritated with me or anything! I can not recommend them more! read more

I had a very pleasant experience setting up a storage unit here. They had a special discount move in price which saved me about $70.00 for the first month. The units are clean, easily accessible and the gentleman who helped me was kind, courteous, knowledgeable and gave me some examples of how the spaces could be utilized so that i could select the best unit for the best value. I was in and out in less than 15 minutes and was very happy with the service. I only require the storage for 2 months and know exactly what I will be charged for the move in special as well as the 2nd month so it was very convenient. Not needing storage away from home on a regular basis, I just returned to the StorQuest on Maestro for the second time in nine years this week. The facility itself and the staff are so impressive that you almost forget that you're dealing with a self-storage company (I've used a few others and can safely say there's a marked difference). Sharon and the gentleman I dealt with (Tim, I believe?) were both extremely helpful and polite, making sure I got the space I needed in the timeframe I preferred (now!). I won't generally stop to leave a review unless a place or person has far exceeded my expectations, but in this case the praise is well deserved. After shopping around and booking using selfstor.com, the manager called me twice to ensure all was still a go and offered me her personal hand truck to use, as I was just trying to speed up my unloading process. The front desk help was absolutely one of the most pleasant people I've ever done business with. The security here is second to none, and I got a great deal on my first month. I shopped around for reasonable pricing and although I find it's all way too expensive, these guys ran right in the middle of the pack. Free Tuesday car wash started 8 weeks ago from today. Only time you guys offered free car wash was 4 weeks ago - rest of the time either machine is broke, system not set up, or there were no answers even when everything was working alright - why would you advertise then???
