The price on my storage went up $84 about 3 months in with no notification. On top of that when I moved out of the storage facility they shut down the freight elevator before their listed closing time forcing me to carry all of my things down the stairs. I have a medical condition limiting my ability to carry heavy things and if anything would've happened to me I'd have sued. They really should notify people about these problems as they could get into some major issues. I get to move out of state all messed up now. F$*& this place. read more

I think that this location is alright at best. I used the location in Northridge a few years back, and I loved the experience. No complaints. But last year I got a storage unit at this location and not good. Doesn't get cleaned often. The workers have such bad service. The ladies are rude all the time. They have an attitude , the only time they seem nice is the first day you meet them. I think with how much im paying a month, they should pay attention more to the cleaning of the place, and maybe replace workers with people who are actually nice and caring. Also I see so many people getting in without the code, security please read more

We came to check out a storage unit we had a reservation on. Glendi checked us in and gave us a tour of the facilities, unit, lift operation, etc. Between the price and her helpfulness, we feel great about selecting this location. read more

Well informed about pricing and was able to see the unit to know if it's the right size for me .

Jason, store manager at this location, was great! As soon as I rented a unit online, I received a personal call from him with important information about the site (hours, locks, etc.) . Being that it's my first time, I had no idea how to navigate and he definitely made the process so much easier. Highly recommend this business when you have someone like Jason working there! read more

Glendi was amazing in helping me reserve a unit that met my needs. Walked me through the unit.

Just have to say how amazing their customer service is at this storage facility. Jason & many others throughout the years are always quick to get back to you when you have any questions or concerns. From reminder courtesy calls & texts to make sure I won't me late helps me so so much is just one example of great service! Being a customer for over 10 years straight there's a reason I won't go nowhere else, with inflation, price of living going up & how times have gotten so hard due to COVID they really accommodated me & did their best to make sure I'm always a happy customer. I have never had any issues here & always know my belongings are very safe & secure. I appreciate how they took care of me even more today as that shows how they appreciate my loyal, long standing business with them , thanks again! read more

Mr. Jason Sanchez is quite friendly and professional. I am very happy renting a storage in this location (8540 Cedros Avenue, Panorama City, CA 91402. You can also be cheerful renting your storage here. read more

Clean, airy and bright with easy to access spaces. However, its best asset is its manager, Jason Sanchez. He is polite, friendly, knowledgeable and always upbeat with a smile. He goes over and above to help. I noticed customers stopping just to say hello or waving to him. This and still professional. 5 stars to the facility. 6 stars to Jason. D. Gold read more

Great Service very nice people work here! Highly Recommend Place to Store your stuff. 100% Customer Service!

I used this storage for exactly five months, on the 2nd of February I evacuated the unit (for which I applied a month in advance for the cancelation). On the 3rd of Feb I was charged the monthly fee as their system had failed to cancel the unit After about 9 to 10 different calls in the past three months, and numerous emails exchanged with the branch directly, speaking with the managers Juan and Melissa, AND district managers over the phone I FINALLY got refunded the monthly fee that was taken out by ERROR on the 3rd of Feb. This money came back to mu account on the 17th of April! That makes it 2 months and 2 weeks!!! I have another storage unit with Extra Space in Santa Monica, and this experience left me soooooo unhappy that I am going to evacuate and have my stuff moved to another storage! read more

I definitely recommend this storage facility the people at the front desk are always so welcoming, nice and always if willing help you out all the time especially Jason he offers help without you asking always friendly and professional staff!! read more

I recently began renting a storage unit at Extra Space Storage for work and I am so glad I picked this place! Not only is the facility in tip top shape, but the customer service has really gone above and beyond. Melissa was super friendly, informative and helpful from the second I walked in. When my storage door got stuck (all my fault!) Melissa, Juan and Eduardo came to the rescue. It wasn't easy, but they worked their magic, got it open and if they were annoyed by my dumbness they didn't let show for a second. They are the best! read more

This place is ridiculous! I reserved the space online, with a half off first month managers special. When it came time to pay out the total was more than the original price, due to taxes and fees. What?! I'm here the day after trying to get access to my paid space only to find out that they put a lock on it, now they are closed and they want me to wait up to an hour for the duty manager that lives in the building to show up. The representative on the phone then said that I should have put a lock on it. Wtf! W T F!!! read more

I have been at this facility for years now, have moved around various spaces as my needs change. The place is kept clean and safe, and Juan and Melissa are always doing their best to be helpful and find solutions to my sometimes unusual needs. I highly recommend this place. read more

So far this place was the cheapest for its size. Rented a small unit for 3 months. Fast and simple process. Juan was great at helping us. Thank you. read more

My disabled son uses this storage place and I dislike it tremendously. I think they are ripping him off, but that's just my opinion. I can't always get to Southern California to help him out, but from what I heard from him and his former roommate this is not a good place for disabled people. This is hearsay, I know, but I believe it. read more

Great service when I went to rent the storage unit. And I'm very happy to get 50% off of the next month when I recommended a friend.

I had a very good experience opening a storage unit here and their rates were great. The facility is clean and gated. I only saw one elevator so I'd recommend using the facility at very low peak times. The customer service was very good and I found the process to be clear and pretty standard. The facility isn't fancy but seems to be secure. Play by the rules though or you'll be evicted. This should make for a safer facility. read more

My first time ever visiting an Extra Storage Facility and my experience with manager was awesome. Juan is his name and seems to be a very happy guy. He had a smile on his face the entire time. He also talked me out of going to public storage.. So I still visited the public storage after and I can truly say I have no regrets. 5 star for sure. read more

This is one of the worst customer service I've ever received. I arrived with my boyfriend and his father as they made a reservation to check out a storage space. We were greeted by a locked office with no one inside. After standing around for a couple minutes, an employee came to get the door for us. He showed us the storage space, when my boyfriends father wanted to sign a lease, he insisted we had to wait for the assistant manager because he didn't have the lease codes. When the assistant manager finally got off of the phone to assist us, she asked my boyfriends father for his ID. He is Israeli and has an international drivers license. She told us she'd have to call her supervisor to see if she could accept this documentation because she "did not want to get fired" for doing something she is not supposed to. I offered my boyfriend to use my ID because I had it on me, but he said it was fine. We heard the entire conversation with her boss. He asked if the document had a birth date and expiration, she said yes and her boss said it was okay to use it- her reply to him was "don't worry it's okay" hung up, and insisted that he could not use his but "why don't you use hers?" We told her we clearly heard her boss say yes, to which she didn't have an answer to. Would never do business with such liars, rude people and do not recommend to go here when there are about 5 more locations in the area. Absolutely awful experience. read more

My Mom and I have been Renting from Extra Space storage for the last 19 months , because of the professional staff mainly Melissa has been very very helpful especially after selling a home with our life possessions of 75 years they made us comfortable in knowing that everything is safe. Because her professionalism we kept a smaller space because last week we moved half the storage out . Its is a very clean Storage Company and they stick by the rules and there are no mischievous individuals lording in and around the building.. they are always 95% full that should tell you everything! .. read more

The worst customer service i ever experienced. Her name is Melissa and she is claiming that she is the supervisor... she is screaming over the phone.... and i asked her if that's a good customer service and she responded with YES, because i was questioning the late fee charge. they're charging 85$+ 15$ additional? Even customer was late on the payment it's the right to question the late fee that there was charging... then can explain in a very good way.... not scream with the customer..... i worked as a cs and i never treated customer the way that Melissa treated me.... read more
