They both went above and beyond to ensure that I got the unit that I had reserved online and made sure everything was a smooth transition. Tonya actually walked me through opening the gate told me where my unit was located and if I had any additional questions that I could ask her both of them were friendly and professional. My unit was clean when I opened it up and it was a great value, it fit within my budget. Thank you for a great experience.

    Terrible experience here. BUYER BEWARE! I moved in on July 4th, as this was the only storage…read morefacility open that day and I was coming in from out of state. Somehow Public Storage forces you to buy a lock when you move in. Even if you already have one. But the website says it will refund the fee if you turn the lock in unused. After I opened the unit, I brought the lock to the office immediately and handed it to the attendant. However, I never received the refund, nor credit to my account. I asked them to look into this no less than 4 times in recent months. The answer was always "I need to email corporate so they can look into this." As of the end of November, still no refund. To make matters worse, when I opened my unit, I could see the entire right side of the unit had some kind of water exposure at some point. All of the contents I had on the right side of the unit were ruined. When I picked up several boxes, water poured out from the box. Even closed plastic tubs and containers somehow had water sloshing inside. The stench of mildew and/or mold was undeniable and unbearable. ENOUGH ALREADY. I moved out and went up the street to Extra Space Storage, which is where I should have gone to begin with.

The buildings are…read moreliterally falling down; ceilings falling on stored items, inadequate roof, rotting facia and soffits allowing rodents free access, and a security gate that no longer functions. I pay rent (which is frequently rising) and should expect a secure environment in which to store my belongings.     The manager is dishonest and insulting!…read more On July 3rd, she put a red pad lock on an empty storage unit and claimed that it had not been vacated and charged us for an extra month! I insisted that she remove the lock and prove that the unit was not empty. She refused with the ludicrous statement that she could tell it was not empty by the sound it made when she knocked on the door. She then blatantly insulted me by stating that my family was nothing but trouble. I was then harassed DAILY with phone calls, emails, and duplicate invoices. I contacted the corporate office and was assured that the matter would be resolved and received a verbal apology for the manager's poor behavior. The phone calls, emails, and invoices then ceased, so I believed the matter to finally be resolved. A year later I receive a collection notice indicating that American Store and Lock will ruin my credit if I don't pay a bill that I don't owe. Protect what you've worked so hard to achieve and use a different storage facility!

    This was our first time using a moving company so we were very intentional with who we chose as we…read moredidn't want anything to go missing or broken. We did a ton of research and decided on Reign as it was more expensive than other options so we figured would be higher quality. They also had all 5 star reviews so we figured it would be the best. We are now wondering why this is. They are definitely more expensive. They charge more per hour and they also charge a $350 'truck fee' that no one else charges from quotes we got. We were charged over $1700 for 5 hours. What we liked- - It was easy to schedule and they had our date available a few weeks out. They offered to set up a FaceTime to look at our items and make sure they sent out the appropriate number of trucks. - They gave us an hour window of when they would show up, and an update the morning of so we knew when to expect them. - They were nice and made sure they knew exactly what we wanted. We did one last walk through of the old place before we left. They made sure we were happy before they left the new place. We had 3 movers who were kind and seemed trustworthy. - They listened to the writing on the boxes of where to put the boxes in the new house and if it didn't have writing, they put it in the equivalent room in the new house of where they found it in the old house. - They were careful with our things and were able to unassemble and reassemble our pieces. They also wrapped up the furniture items with blankets to preserve them. - They worked quick and efficiently Why we aren't giving them 5 stars: - they stopped at the gas station between the old house and new house and arrived at the new house 30 minutes after us when we were right behind them the whole way up until the gas station. They did ask us if they could stop to get snacks but I didn't realize it would take this long and they did not deduct this from the time they billed us for. - They asked us if we wanted mattress bags for $15 each. I said yes as I figured this would be something we could keep and save for future moves. They did not leave us the bags. So we paid $30 to basically 'rent' 2 bags which I feel we should have been able to keep or not be charged for. Next time I will buy the $15 ones off Amazon that I can keep. - They took a shelf out of our entertainment stand. In the move the nails/pegs fell out. These are specialty nails to hold the shelf in. Now we are unable to use the shelf, and the piece sags without the shelf in. We have since gotten rid of it and gotten a new one. - The top of our desk will not fit properly on when this was never previously an issue and we ultimately can't fix it and will need to get a new one. - They were about to leave and I noticed something was missing so I asked about it and they had to go back on the truck to get it. If I didn't ask, they would've left with it still in the truck. - They did not deliver 2 small decorative pieces of ours that were the last items on the truck- not packed in a box. Which not a huge deal but I noticed shortly after they left, contacted the company, and they were not able to find them. We are completely unpacked and I know these things are not at either of our houses. ** which they did reimburse us for these things which we are thankful for!! Also customer service was very helpful at first when we were trying to find these items and discuss reimbursement, but then it was pretty hard to get ahold of them to confirm our reimbursement agreement and get them paid. It felt like I was tracking them down just to get our reimbursement approved and get them paid. We will likely use a different company next time we move.
