OK, here is what appears to be the dirty little secret of pricing in the "storage industry," insurance. It seems all of them "require" it and it never shows up in the advertised rates. This will cost you anywhere from $10 on up more per month in addition to whatever deal you find advertised. After comparing the 3 "name" outfits in the area, all three of which were fairly new or recently renovated, modern facilities, I wound up choosing Extra Space for 2 reasons: 1) Based on size vs. price, they offered the best value. 2) Of the 3, they where the only ones to even mention the availability of an insurance waiver. Why was Item 2 important to me, well, without going into details, let's just say that the stuff I needed to store there is very bulky vs. its value and really, if the place burnt to the ground with it inside, my felling would be "say la vie." Certainly not something I am willing to pay an additional $120 + a year to insure. Moving on to my actual experience at this facility. I must say that I consider the customer service experience to date excellent. After making my decision I made a reservation via Extra Space's web site after which I received a blazing fast call from the site manager looking to discuss my needs. An appointment was made for me to come down in person later that afternoon., When I arrived, I was greeted by the same gent I spoke on the phone. We went over what I was looking for and and completed the rental process quickly and painlessly barring one hiccup, which I'll get to in a minute. I was then shown to my unit, and versed in the security measures for access. The hiccup I referred to was, of course, the issue of the insurance waiver. He seemed unaware that.such a thing existed. But when faced with the transcript of my conversation with their web support person, he quickly came up with a mutually agreeable solution. I have now only visited 3 times but the interior of the facility is clean, well lit and seemingly well kept. read more

Excellent customer service. I was ready to move my things in and unfortunately their computer system was having some problem. I was able to move in any ways thanks to the person working with me he did everything he could to get me into the system and my store space, which meant he had to stay in the store past his work time. This showed his dedication to his job and to his customers, I was very satisfied. I also appreciate the fact that a few days later he call and asked if everything was ok with the storage space and if I needed anything I can always give him a call. read more

The employees are cordial, professional and knowledgeable. The facility is clean and tidy. Access from Rt. 17 N. is very convenient. Carts are always available. It would be nice if the truck (or car) could back up to the outside overhead door, but because of the poles it's impossible. As a result on a rainy night many of my items became saturated as they were put on the cart and transported from the truck to inside. Also, on several occasions the outside overhead door, which one needs a code to access, was found wide open upon my arrival. There were no other cars in the lot indicating no other tenants inside. Perhaps a large sign should be posted for tenants to press the button to pull the door down when they leave or the employees should make sure the door is closed. If not for these things I would leave 5 stars. read more

If I could give this location -1 I would this place is becoming filthy and the staff are so unhelpful and rude they need to be replaced . I have never had such bad experiences with a storage facility I pay my bill on time each month and I need to find a facility that has polite staff and a clean building and grounds. Never rent from this location . read more

The Service is impeccable and very clean facilities. Only problem however, is that there are no available toilet facilities beyond office hours nor on Sundays. I find that to be a major problem, especially in the summer when people are moving and drinking a lot of fluids. read more
