I trusted Steve McC. and his partner in crime, Rob, to get my things safely to Colorado. When they moved my stuff from Scottsdale to Colorado in August, it took them more than 24 hours and I paid for my own truck-not shared. All art was wrapped in paper when it was put in the truck, particularly three works by Thomas McKnight. Only one made it to my new home and it was unwrapped. Apparently, during the 24 hour "layover", Steve McC and Rob went through all of my things and took anything they perceived was of value, including jewelry, kitchen items, and even a special wooden box that I filled with fossils to give my 10 year old grandson for his birthday and a gorgeous set of wind chimes The McKnight art work was unwrapped. In fact, many of the items that did get back to me showed signs of being unwrapped and then taped up. During the time frame between Scottsdale and Colorado, they went through EVERYYHING and took whatever was of value. There is no way to get these things back, but it is obvious that they are a criminal enterprise and they probably would do the same thing to you as well if you use them for your move. DO NOT!

Very Disappointing Experience…read more This was my first time hiring professional movers, and unfortunately, it was an extremely disappointing experience. We were originally quoted 4-6 hours, but the move ended up taking approximately 11 hours. During those 11 hours, numerous items and parts of my home were damaged, including: * A buffet table was broken. * A Sonos speaker was damaged. * Brand-new hardwood floors were scratched. * A box of dishes was dropped and broken. * Paintings were damaged. * One of the movers used approximately three rolls of my personal packing tape. * One mover took approximately 15 drinks from my refrigerator. * One of the movers arrived late and, during the move, actually fell asleep in his truck for a period of time. The most frustrating part is what happened afterward. The owner required me to pay the full amount and told me that he would handle the damages through the company's insurance and/or figure out a resolution. He then told me he was out of state and would get back to me. Since then, he has stopped responding to my messages. I want to make it clear that the two movers themselves have actually been very nice, genuine, and honest throughout this process. They acknowledged what happened and admitted responsibility for the damages. My issue is specifically with the owner's handling of the situation and the complete lack of communication after receiving full payment. I gave this company the opportunity to make things right and handle the damages professionally. Instead, I am now left with damaged property, damaged floors, and no response from the person who told me he would take care of the situation. At this point, I will be reaching out to 3TV/Arizona's Family On Your Side, filing a formal complaint with the Arizona Attorney General's Office, and seeking legal counsel regarding the damages and the company's handling of this matter. I would strongly encourage anyone considering this company to do your research and understand how they handle damage claims before hiring them. I expected a professional moving company to take responsibility when things went wrong. Unfortunately, that has not been my experience.

The company's response was simply that the mover claimed I was "flirtatious" (False) Their original response was that he had a wife and kids so he wouldn't do that then changed their tone to accuse me of being flirtatious Whether a customer is friendly or not does not make it acceptable for an employee to use personal information obtained through work to contact customers privately. I went in today to mail several holiday packages, and was in and out very quickly. Their computer saves all the addresses where you mail packages, so everyone's info was in the computer from last year, making it a very streamlined and quick process. They also offer packing services, which is super convenient. Everyone who works at this location is friendly and welcoming. It's much less stressful than standing in line at the Post Office.

1 Star - Worst Moving Experience I've Ever Had…read more I paid over $800 for what was supposed to be a full apartment move, and this was hands down the worst moving experience I've ever had. Their excuse to everything was that "I signed the paperwork" which meant I was satisfied. I signed the paperwork in a rush because when you are are a girl alone with two grown men rushing you to sign something because they are going to be late for their next job and making you feel bad and pressured I signed it in the moment. I immediately contacted the company 10 minutes later to complain. They forgot an entire closet full of my clothes, which I had to go back and move myself despite paying for a full-service move. The movers also left their trash behind for me to clean up afterward. The clothes they did move were handled terribly -- I had them wrapped and on hangers in garbage bags and instead of hanging them up, they threw all my clothes into a large messy pile on the floor. One of the movers offered to mount my TV, claiming he knew how to do it. He clearly did not. He didn't have the proper tools and should have declined, but instead left me with large holes in my wall that I now have to pay to have repaired. They also placed an entire storage cabinet backwards and left it wrapped, making it impossible for me to fix or turn on my own. It was obvious they were rushing to get to their next job and completely neglected mine. Despite all of this, I was offered no compensation, no resolution, and no accountability for the damage caused. Please save yourself the stress, time, and money and use another moving company. I will never use Arizona Discount Movers again.
