I was very impressed!…read moreI probably sent about 6 requests for quote out to different companies and Lynn at Express Haulers was the first to call me within a minute of sending the request, and the only one persistently following up with me. I told every company that we have a small move as we had been moving things little by little by ourselves, only Lynn provided me with the lowest minimum hours and competitive pricing. When I said I would get back to her, I appreciated her persistence in following up. They estimated 2.5 hours of work and Carlos and his team did a great job efficiently moving things, only took 30 more minutes than they estimated. They also didn't have any hidden charge for wrapping material for couch etc. My husband at the receiving address said they were very careful with our newly renovated home, the floor, the wall etc as they moved and assembled furniture. After the move, the owner Diego himself reached out to check in and asked for feedback. As somebody running a business myself and working with business owners, I really appreciate how they run their business, the efficiency, the flexibility and the care. Will recommend them to anybody in my network who needs moving services.

We had to reschedule with a new property which Chris was able to work with me . Thankfully The guys arrived on time and was professional and courteous to me and my wife . (tldr: lack of communication, damaged boxes and furniture upon arrival, poor quality of service) In the beginning, Jeff was very attentive and made us feel like "Yes! This is the quality of service we're looking for in a company!" and the quoted price was great. He told us everything we needed to know about our move and we were excited to move forward. (Disclaimer: Low price is because they have other moves on the same truck as yours. We figured it wouldn't be a problem... it was.) But once we had our stuff loaded on to the truck, that's when it went all downhill. First things first, the pick-up movers told us how much we should be tipping them (they said they wanted 20%), which was extremely unprofessional. I don't mind if they had just mentioned that tips are appreciated, but to have the balls to flat out tell me you want 20%? Really? I didn't hear from Jeff for about a week after our initial pick-up, and when he did respond, all he could tell me was that our stuff was still waiting to be put onto the truck and our 6 day delivery window remained the same. He told me he would update with information when he had some. I asked him if it was possible to get a tighter delivery window once the truck was in transit and he informed me that once we got closer to the delivery window he'd have a better estimate of when our stuff should be arriving. (At this point, we were 9 days from the first day of our delivery window and 7 days since pick-up.) Another week goes by without any correspondence from Jeff. I'm starting to get a little anxious because it's 2 days from the first day of our delivery window and we have no idea where our stuff is. So I contact him again asking if he had an update. The first day of the delivery window is pushed back a day. Still very vague. I ask again if he could provided a tighter delivery window since we're working people and need to make arrangements to receive this move if it does come on a work day. He said he'll try his best. So now it's the first day of the delivery window! Hurray! But silence on Jeff's end. At this point, we figured he'd have some sort of idea where the truck is and have an idea of when the truck should be arriving to us. I email Jeff and no response. I get that it's a Saturday, but if client is paying thousands of dollars to use your services, just a quick acknowledgement would be appreciated. We get a call later that day from the driver saying he's in the area and will delivery the following day or the next, depending on the other deliveries. Okay, great! But why wasn't Jeff able to provide that information to us? The driver told us that they're not actually a part of Movage and they're hired to do jobs within Movage (which was one of the first questions I asked because I wanted to make sure that the move wasn't being contracted out to third parties), so the drivers themselves weren't even in touch with Movage at all. And then our stuff finally arrives... boxes were damaged, wet, opened, our couch was soaked on one side... I'll let the pictures do the talking. The response we get after we express our extreme disappointment is just a very textbook: "I apologize for any inconvenience. This is not the typical feed back we receive from our customers. I will help you as much as possible as I have tried to do from the first time we spoke. I will attach a claims form to this email. Please fill it out at your earliest convenience so we can start a claim process for you. Thank you." If you're looking to do a long distance move, go with Mayflower. We deeply regret not choosing to go with them in the first place.

    I was scheduled to move on February 26, 2025. I spoke with their representative Jeanne at…read more201-381-5961. She sent me an estimate of $456 (4hrs) not including taxes and fees. If I exceeding that time it would be an additional $85 per hour. I informed her that it was mostly boxes, bins, and everything was packed and bubble wrapped already. When the workers arrived, we did a complete walk through of the house. The guy in charge immediately start saying this job is way bigger than the job he just done. He went on to express, he had another job to do after he finished with me. After he took inventory of every room, we then signed the contract to move forward. PSA..The crew pulled up in a truck that had another company's name on it. Nothing in line with NJ Wide Movers LLC. The door of the truck displays, All Pro Moving, the side of the truck displays , Carton and Son Inc.. This makes it hard to tell who they really are but investigators will figure that out. Anywho, the guy in charge took about four weed & cigarette breaks. Three hours later we arrive to the storage unit, he then quotes me $780 balance. He went on to say, he will not unload the truck until I make the payment. All of the guys began to sit down. I showed him the price and time that I was quoted, I also remind him that we are only three hours in as of now, and we still have more stuff at the house. He then told me that he was not going back to the house to get the remainder of my belongings. I told him that is unfair, being that he did a complete walk through of my house taking inventory and if he couldn't transport everything, he should not have taken the job. Non the less I ended up calling Jeanne to aware her of the happenings. I asked her why is he quoting me this high amount? She told me that it's an estimate of the time it will take to empty the truck. She had nothing to say or any accommodations about her worker leaving behind my refrigerator and rest of my belongings at the house. Of course she is on his side. I ended up paying $600 minus the wrapping, tape, and made up miles that he couldn't produce. I continually asked the workers not to not to use wrapping or tape. Of course they wait until they get outside by their truck to do so, which I have on video. U-Haul office closes at 7pm, customer access ends at 10pm, and our finish unload time also ends at 10pm. At 8pm I notice the guys start moving really fast, loading 5 dollies at a time before going upstairs. They were throwing things in the storage unit any kind of way. Once the truck was empty, I go up stairs behind them to see the unit. To my surprise there were ten dollies in the hallway with no space left in the two units. The guy in charge asked me, what are you going to do? I asked him to charge me for the additional time it will take, to bring the stuff back to the house, being that the office is closed and I can't get another unit. He agreed and said that would be an additional $170. The three workers and the guy in charge, all took a dolly each and headed towards the elevator. I grabbed two dollies following behind. I waited upstairs for them to empty the elevator. By the time I got downstairs, the four dollies were blocking me to get off the elevator. I pushed them to the side, as I finally exited and proceeded towards the truck. Before I could get close enough, I heard screeching tires and witnessed the driver pulling away. I was in total disbelief that he pulled off and left me. U-HAUL is closed, no staff on site and there was no one to assist me. PLEASE AVOID THEM BY ALL COST. Worst experience ever, very unprofessional. They need to be out of business. What if someone did this to his mother, sister, or wife. Complete Jerk.     I was initially quoted for a straightforward move, which included packing services. However, the…read morefinal invoice was nearly double the original quote. While their website clearly states "no hidden fees", my experience was the opposite. Hidden charges were added at every stage, and the final bill bore no resemblance to the agreed-upon quote. In addition, they refused to begin the Unloading without receiving full payment upfront, which was never part of the agreement. This kind of pressure tactic was both unprofessional and unethical. To make matters worse, the movers did not complete the job properly. After taking full payment, they left several items behind and others damaged. I submitted a damage claim nearly two years ago, including: A notarized letter describing the damages and item weights Photographic evidence of the damaged items All supporting documentation, sent via certified mail. A follow-up request offering to provide everything via email as well Despite repeated phone calls, emails, and follow-ups--especially with Jeanne, who initially acknowledged my claim--I have received no response whatsoever. This company has shown a complete lack of professionalism, transparency, and accountability. I strongly advise others to be cautious and to get every detail in writing, including any potential hidden fees, payment requirements, and dispute resolution procedures.
