Ruben was very diligent from the second I emailed to inquire. He was extremely nice to come by and drop off boxes before our move when we were ready to start packing. Our elevator of the building we were moving out of actually broke the day before we moved out and they added no extra charge and even offered to bring in more movers to make the job quicker- they never once complained. Used these guys for my recent move from East Harlem to Midtown East and they were great!! I had 3 guys come and we were able to get everything in my new place in under 2 hours, which was great considering I originally lived in a fourth floor walkup. Sadly, many of the glass covering on my paintings were broken and Ruben did not say anything. They just placed them in a way that I won't be able to notice, at least, right away. I thought they had an insurance and that they were honest. When I slowly began unpacking and decorating the apartment, I realized that most of the painting protective glass was broken and gone. In other words, the damaged was covered by discarding the broken glass. The moving was not for free, and the damage of my paintings and the poor handling of my furniture didn't make sense. My belongings are important to me. I am still sad about that my belongings were not handled with care. It is important for a customer to have a good experience. Every time I see my paintings, and that I haven't been able to pay to get them fixed, I began wishing; that I deserved a good service for what I paid and was charged for. First start with the negative - they were late!! we were supposed to meet at 8 AM and they didn't arrived until 9:30AM The owner responds quickly and setting up an apt was easy. The owner texts and calls - he is on top of it. I recommend having three guys - while one wraps the other two pack. They work hard my moving took approx 5 hours - price was reasonable - and they honor my Groupon. Overall i can recommend them. read more

You will not beat their price for moving in NYC. They were quick, efficient, and careful with my stuff, and took the time to place my furniture pieces where I wanted them. They were 30 minutes late - however they gave me a 30 minute window which I can imagine is tough to stick to if they have appointments prior. My move within Brooklyn took just under 2 hours with 3 guys with bedroom furniture and a lot of boxes. Definitely would recommend. read more

This company was great! Made the stressful move for my aunt from NYC to SF as comfortable possible. Mr. Reuben personally helped with move by giving us tips (label boxes and put caution stickers if something is fragile) and tricks to tackle this big move! Since my aunt is picky about her china and other decorative pieces she has collected over the years, they were careful with the handling of the boxes and made sure that they safely reached the final destination. Rueben was very responsive, set the price in the beginning stating it would be that amount "FLAT RATE". He also said they do a few drop offs around my location, so the drop off would happen late, this was perfect with my scheduling. I called to make sure, he assured me the price we discussed would be the final price. Movers did a speedy job moving and were very respectful BUT, upon drop off claimed there was an extra $36 fee for "tolls and fees" on top of the "flat rate we discussed. The $36 was paid with their tip. Owner was passive aggressive about reviews left afterward. Nonetheless, service was great, prices were great, hidden fees, not so great. For people who have never gotten a moving company before like me, ask about hidden fees BEFORE booking so you are not side tracked. read more

Mr Reuben is a wonderful man. We moved from a large 4 bed into a much smaller apartment and had great anxiety about how we would ever fit our family, our belongings and our lives into such a small space. He was reassuring and accommodating throughout the entire process of our move - including us cancelling and rescheduling twice (at no additional charge), first by one week and then a month. Full House Moving advised us on how to separate and reduce the amount of stuff we needed to take with us from that which we could either put into storage or simply get rid of. They anticipated our requirements, guided us through the entire process, liased with a self-storage company, took us to view the facilities before helping to negotiate the lease. Mr Reuben even helped pack items for Goodwill and personally took us to deliver them. Two weeks before the move, he came to our home with one of his crew to take stock and produce an estimate of time and costs. He returned a few days later with boxes and labels for us to start with any items we wanted to pack ourselves. He called weekly to reassure us that he was taking care of matters such as insurance, parking conditions and scheduling. The day before the move, he arrived at 9.00 am with a team of three and magic took place. They packed everything starting with the kitchen and other breakable items into securely wrapped containers and boxed everything, room by room, apart from the large items of furniture, our beds and leaving us enough cups and plates to prepare breakfast the next morning. On the day of the move a team of five arrived at 8.00 am. One team packed the remaining large items while another team took away the items destined for self-storage. Once the first team had returned, they packed the remaining items into the lorry and drove to our new home - a 3rd floor walk-up - and without a noticeable break for lunch, began to unload. They unpacked with great care and courtesy, ensuring each item was either put into its pre-labeled location or asking for directions. They fitted together our furniture (even repairing a long-standing broken bed fitting for good measure), and allowed us to reposition a number of large items until we were happy that we had everything in the right place. Finally they returned to our previous apartment to sweep up and take away all of the remaining rubbish we had left behind (itself filling a small van), to the local dump. I cannot recommend, or thank, Mr. Reuben and his team highly enough. we are so grateful to them for making what would otherwise have been one of the more stressful events of our lives into something not far short of an entertaining one. I scheduled Full House Movers several weeks before my move after purchasing a Living Social deal. Everything was all set and confirmed when my Landlord asked to get a Certificate of Liability insurance to move into my new apartment in the afternoon before my move. Because I had already cleared with the company that I would get one, I didn't think this was a problem. I contacted the company and was told that I could only get a certificate in my name because I was the client and an additional certificate would be an extra $150. When I called back a few minutes later, the price had gone up to $250! My landlord told me that that price was exorbitant (it has typically cost him about $50 in the past for the same piece of paper) and that it would be fine with just the certificate with my name. When I called Reuben back to say that the extra certificate was unnecessary, Reuben insisted on speaking to my landlord directly. They spoke, my landlord called me and said everything was fine, I would be ok with the certificate in my name and good luck with the move. At 5:20pm on the day before my 11am move, I get an email from Reuben canceling my move because of the very same conversation that my landlord had no issues after. He said that my landlord called him a crook and he would not move me into his building. I was caught in the middle of something that is entirely not my fault and as a result was put in a lurch hours before I needed to be out of my apartment. The added stress and lack of professionalism of this company is appalling. Moving is stressful enough. I am very disappointed that whatever altercation they had ruined my move--I was the paying client! read more

I had a week to move out of my apartment, so I needed to find movers quickly! The owner Ruben came by to check out the furniture and boxes ahead of the move to make sure he gave us the correct size truck! That was really appreciated, since I had no idea what size truck I needed. We were also able to secure additional insurance for not only our stuff, but for the home we were moving into! The worst moving company . Avoid. Even if you end up paying more . They are cheap and give cheap quotes for a reason or shall i say reasons. I hired them in July to move me. They came on time , thats the only positive about my review. They tell you they will wrap your framed pictures . That was a joke. They stuff as many as they can into a cardboard box and tape up the top of the box leaving the box open. What a joke. At least 3 of my framed pictures got damaged. 2nd thing that happened was I had a big 5 gallon old water jug filled with pennies. Well the mover felt he could pick that up , he gpt outside and crash he dropped it and all my pennies were all over the street. The mover ended up sweeping up all the pennies in the pouring rain and put them in garbage bags. I was told there would be no chips of glass in the pennies. That was untrue, i recently went through the pennies and cut myself 2 times because there were chips of glass throughout and all the pennies turned green because they got wet. We are talking about hundreds in pennies. Also that jug Reuben claims was a 25.00 jug was actually a lot more and was given to me from my parents. That was a vintage 5 gallon water jug. So he has no clue. He thinks its a joke . Plus he threatened me and he is very fortunate i dont take him to court. I gave him business , that will end. I guarantee he will lose tons of business . Whoever is out there reading this please listen you will regret hiring this horrible unprofessional compnay. I can go on and on but i think i said enough. BEWARE!!!!! read more

The coordination portion pre-move was fine - a few hiccups - but the moving process itself was amazing thanks to the amazing movers! I moved out of my apartment last week and called Full house movers to come and help me with moving alot of boxes and furniture. Ruben and his crew showed up on the day of move on time.They helped me and my mother move everything even the really heavy pieces like the china cabinet and even the fragile glass pieces. They were very careful and didn't damage anything! I was so relieved to see that my mother's glass china cabinet was moved into my new home without a scratch on it. They even helped me put up decorations and helped hang paintings on the walls. they did so much more for us than just moving furniture, they helped us get settled into our new home. I'm so glad I called them, moving is not a job you can do on your own but with their help we got everything done in just a few hours. It was such a pleasant experience and the movers were very patient with us and moved our fragile pieces in a careful manner.
