Friends kept telling me horror stories about chain storage facilities which increase prices unexpectedly and repeatedly. And the ones I toured had poor security and/or were dirty. (Thank goodness I finally found another locally managed facility, though not quite up to A3's standard: Melanie spoiled me!) When we moved out on a Sunday, even though the office was closed, Leina once again helped in keeping the automatic doors open and proactively offered to let our movers use the office bathroom, even though it was closed. I didn't know I could be so happy with the service of self-storage facility, but Leina went above and beyond every step of the way and made one part of a stressful situation significantly less stressful. I couldn't be happier with the service I received and the pricing was extreme transparent and fair.

However, over the course of a year and a half, the monthly cost increased to more than $220.00. We called multiple times asking if the rate could be reduced. Each time, we were told that they had already lowered it twice and there was nothing more they could do. I also tried contacting the corporate office, but the representative I spoke with appeared to be working remotely and communication was difficult. According to the representative, notices about the rate increases were mailed to us. Unfortunately, we had moved and forgot to update our mailing address, so we never received those letters. Why not email us or send a text!!! That said, we didn't need a letter to notice the increases--we saw the higher charges every month on our Chase bank statement. Because of these constant price increases, we have decided to move to another storage facility. Unfortunately, the cost of relocating our belongings will now exceed $1,000, making the situation even more frustrating. Based on our experience, I would strongly caution others to carefully review the terms and potential rate increases before choosing Public Storage.
