My experience with…read morethis company has been nothing short of appalling due to a severe rat infestation in their Plano (500 Talbert Dr.) facility. Despite attempts to address this issue with the management, they have failed to take any meaningful action or accountability. When I went to load up a few things from the unit we are renting (a supposed TEMP CONTROLLED, & INDOOR) a few weeks ago, I noticed rat droppings and a horrid smell emitting from our unit. It was also extremely hot in the building which I thought was odd considering we are paying for temp controlled. I was alone so I hurried grabbed a single item I needed and went on my way. I knew something was off. So when I went back today to retrieve more items, I was appalled at the amount of DEAD rats in my unit. We weren't able to maneuver around or step into the unit without possibly stepping on a carcass. Absolutely horrific. And the smell, I'm sure you can imagine. Upon discovering the infestation, we immediately contacted the management, expecting prompt and effective measures to resolve the situation. Unfortunately, after 50 phone calls that led to voicemail, we were able to get ahold of the district manager, Mr. Callan and not only did they downplay the severity of the issue, but they also showed a blatant disregard for the safety and well-being of their customers' belongings. On top of that - they immediately started to blame it on a customer "potentially" having food in their unit. The lack of responsibility and transparency in handling such a serious problem is unacceptable as this clearly has been an issue that was not immediately addressed. It is incredibly disheartening to see a company operate with such a lack of integrity. Customers trust storage facilities to keep their possessions safe, yet Public Storage has failed to uphold this basic obligation. I strongly urge anyone considering using their services to think twice, as the risk of damage to your belongings and the frustration of dealing with unresponsive management is simply not worth it. This experience has been a costly and stressful ordeal, and all of mine and my roommates belongings are completely ruined. I hope this review serves as a warning to others and prompts Public Storage to address their serious, disgusting shortcomings as we will be taking legal action.

We felt really good about the security and cleanliness of the units (all climate controlled) and the facility overall (the Plano location was only built a couple of years ago and it's super clean). Plus the ease of being able to drive up so close to the units. We worked with Wendy and she's been so kind and helpful and informative through the entire process. I did a lot of research and this place was definitely the right choice. We really appreciated that All Storage had a great intro special but that Wendy was also super up front about what the pricing would be after the special ended. Our close friends had a horrible experience with one of the bigger chain storage places hiking their rent up by insane amounts after the initial first month offer, and that's why we wanted to find a more locally run place. Wendy walked us through everything and went over what we could realistically expect in terms of pricing and it was all very reasonable. She went above and beyond in ways she didn't have to and we really apprecaited it. It ended up being harder than I thought it would be to find a clean, secure, affordable and trustworthy storage place, and so I wanted to make sure to write a review for All Storage in case it can help out someone else who's in the same boat. By the time I got him to answer if that code would be on my app the gate closed and I was stuck again. Had to wait for a customer coming in so that could make a quick exit while the gate was open. No updated gate code on the app. Do better, Public Storage. This is the worst first day to get things done. Update: called customer service again as the app still does not have an updated code. Was told to wait 72 hours for an updated code. Seriously??!? Advised rep that is unacceptable and rep said best she could do was call to see if property manager was on site. Since no one answered she said she could book an appointment for tomorrow for someone to meet me there. What could improve? EVERYTHING.

I don't know what's happened, but CubeSmart on Coit has really gone downhill. I've posted 3 pics of what it's looked like for weeks now (end of April 2024). It's disgusting. There's garbage everywhere. The gate is always open; I don't know if it's broken or what, but I can't remember the last time I saw it locked. There's no one in the office, either. Nevertheless, they've raised the rents (of course). I vacated my unit, and I gave written notice via email but I haven't received a reply, confirming that they're aware of this. I've also made numerous phone calls, but no one has answered the phone, so I've left 3 voicemails stating that I'm moving out, and requesting someone call me back to tell me when someone will be in the office so I can turn in my keys and lock, but so far, none of my calls have been returned. When the movers arrived 20 minutes late, I was informed that the cost would be based on square footage instead, increasing the remaining $835 by over $1,000. The mover refused to give a final quote until everything was loaded and was rude and careless, damaging my apartment during the process. He held my belongings under duress, demanding an additional $850, claiming it was a "deal." After paying, I discovered he left items at my old apartment and poorly reassembled my dresser, using my tools to fix it. A week later, he called accusing me of lying about the apartment damage, despite my photographic evidence, and offered to "fix it" so I could drop the matter, also refusing to share his name or company address. The owner, Olvin, was also rude and unprofessional, dismissing my concerns with profanity. Their conduct throughout the move was unprofessional, dishonest, and disrespectful.
