I felt that I needed to write a review in response to the one posted by Al S on 6/24/2016. This is not even his real name. That should tell you something about this guy. By the way, his company van was parked out front. The name on the van was Edge Communications I would not have my name on my company vehicle and treat people the way he does. It is too easy to research the company and the owner. He was very rude to me and two other women on the storage property one day. I had asked him if I could go past him in an aisle and he told me "are you lazy, go around down the other aisle". I said my unit is just two units down. He then said "I told you to go around the other way". Then he started saying vulgar things under his breath. I finally walked all the way around through another aisle. As I was working in my unit, I watched him go down the aisle where there was an elderly woman in her unit. She has a few items setting in the aisle. He took the cart that he was using and pushed her items out of his way. She was rushing to try and move her stuff so he did not break it. This was the last straw for me. I went to notify the management. The manager (Steve) came out to talk to him. He told the manager that these women need to get out of my way, he is trying to get things done. He was told that all the tenants on this property have the same right to use the aisles. . This must have triggered him to get upset. He started telling the manager that he is not happy since the former manager had left the company. The manager told him he was sorry to hear that, but it does not give him the right to intimidate the other tenants (women). The manager started going back to the office and this guy followed him. I could hear him getting louder and louder. Then I saw another woman being escorted from the office. She was almost in tears. I could hear the other manager (Vickie) talking to her. I guess she had a run in with this guy prior to my encounter with him. I walked in the office after this guy left. I wanted to file a complaint with the corporate office about this guy. The manager gave me the corporate information. A few days later I was at the property and I stopped by the office. I asked the managers if they were taking any action with this guy. He explained to me that he cannot tell me if any action was being taken. As I went to my unit, I saw letters posted on each of his units. I probably should not have been nosey, but I was. They were eviction notices. He was notified to move out. He did not do it on his own. The complaints about dirty floors, warm temperatures, broken equipment, etc. It is all lies. As for the smells, I never smelled them. But others have told me that if there were any. They have gone since he moved out. Maybe the odors were from his greasy dirty hair. This property is fantastic. As you can see from all of the reviews about this storage facility, this facility is clean, well-managed and the tenants love the management. * * * READ ALL THE REVIEWS * * * I have my business inventory stored here and I would not go anywhere else. I have gotten to know the managers very well over the past 18 months. Steve and Vickie are friendly, caring people. They will go out of their way to help their tenants. They are not miserable wretches. Please do not let a bad review from an over bearing, arrogant, loud mouth, sub human influence your decision. Steve and Vickie at Plano Superior have provided outstanding customer service - far exceeding our expectations for a storage facility. Our move happened very quickly so we were forced to find storage with very little notice . When I called Vickie , she had almost no availability in the size we needed but was very accommodating in working to find solutions . By the time we showed up later that hot afternoon she and Steve found two large storage units for us to use and made sure we had everything we needed , including cold bottles of water for our movers , before leaving for the day . When it came time for us to move out some of our belongings , we were out of state and Steve and his team helped to coordinate the delivery of a POD and the relocation of the contents of one space to another , and the contents from that space to our POD . Even though he was out of the office that day on vacation he called me to let me know that everything had been relocated , moved , and secured . I've been in the customer service business for more than 30 years So when I see a team that can continually provide a high level of service on a consistent basis I'm impressed . I'm constantly in and out of this extremely convenient location, and it's everything you could ask for in a storage facility. Whether you're storing personal belongings for an extended amount of time, business supplies/overflow, or just need a place for the short-term, Advantage Storage is consistently clean, the perfect temperature, and is extremely secure. I have been a customer here for years and years, and don't ever plan on leaving this storage facility. This is my second time renting a storage unit at this location. I returned this time because I was so happy with my first experience. The facility is very clean, well lit inside, equipped with carts & dollies & I always feel like my stuff is totally secure. Steve & Vickie, the managers, have been so nice & helpful & available for anything I've needed & the added security of knowing they are there is great! They also sell 24" wide bubble wrap that is hard to find & all their supplies are competitively priced plus it's convenient to grab stuff as I need it when I'm already there dropping stuff off in my unit. It was great when we found this location to store our possessions. The property is gated, very secure (double layer of security) and very clean.The managers were the greatest. They were always checking on us, offering us cold drinking water and offering their help. Our movers were very impressed as well. They said they have never had managers that made sure everyone was doing okay and keeping them hydrated before. Steve and Vickie treated us like family. I have been a tenant at this property for about 18 months. I recently was able to move my belonging back to my home. Vickie & Steve were always very courteous and helpful.
