The facility is clean (which was very important to me) and secure. River and Mario at the facility are friendly and nice River signed me up quickly and I was able to move in within minutes. Both of them are helpful when you are at the facility during open hours. I like the control through the blue tooth app. The signal can get a little dicey but it has always worked. When you arrive you can pull into the indoor bay. There are carts to help move things around. Easy.

They have raised the rate on my unit twice in just more than a year of having moved my stuff in --…read morenot minor increases either. And I'm not talking about from the promotional rate to the regular rate. From the regular rate, they've raised it twice, for a total of more than $50/month -- $600+ a year! Not only that, but their efforts to be more technology driven make dealing with them a pain. There is no on-premises staff to talk to at any time. You have to stand in an empty lobby and talk to someone remotely over a video call if you need help. They require you to use an app to gain access to anywhere in the building. The lobby, opening the garage door, the restroom, the elevator, etc. But the apps are unreliable and inconsistent. And there's two of them. We were supposed to start using the new one but it doesn't work (the old one still does?). I wish I never moved my stuff in here. I wouldn't recommend this storage unit to anyone.

This review isn't so much about the men who picked up and delivered our items (they were great) but…read moreabout the management and owner of the company. We were moving from Illinois to South Carolina. We closed on the house on June 29th and notified Maria of this. Because we are moving so far, we asked them to give us a 4-5 day notice so we had time to get there, get hotel rooms along the way, in order to make sure we would be at the new house. We put down July 4th as our first available date. We heard nothing from the Moving Crew so we started calling asking for not a specific delivery date but for which week they were planning on coming so we could make arrangements on our part. Anything of value, such as jewelry and keepsakes, we moved ourselves but needed to rent a U Haul to get everything to SC which was another reason we needed a little advance notice. Despite numerous calls, Maria was unable to help. The Moving Crew had until July 16th to get our stuff to us per our contract. Finally, that week we headed down, secured hotel rooms on the way as well as a hotel to stay in at the new location. We kept being told that they had no information and Maria would call us back. She never did, despite several promises to do so on their end. On Tuesday, July 14th, we called again and were told that they were going to pack the truck on Wednesday and would call us to let us know if they would be here Thursday or Friday of that week. No one called as was the norm evidentally. On Wednesday, we reached out again and Maria said that the driver was suppose to have called us which of course he didn't. Because we were given the impression that Friday was the most liely delivery date, we had to extend our hotel stay one more day. At 5:30pm that same Wednesday, we received a call from the driver saying that they would be there in an hour! We rushed over there and the 2 men arrived at 6:30. We suggested that they unload the following morning but they wanted to do it that night which went well past midnight. I've heard of people moving out in the middle of the night but not moving in. The driver also told us that this was an unexpected trip for him as he was scheduled to make a delivery to Texas but was told to deliver our items instead. All of our boxes were marked as to what room to put them in, but as the time got later and later, boxed were just put anywhere. In addition, Moving Crew combined small boxes into large moving boxes of their own so items items were all mixed up. It took 5 days to find our silverware for example. Then, there were a few damaged items but 2 large ladders were missing. Again, we called Maria on Thursday, July 16th and informed her of the missing items, She said she would check with the driver and call us back. Well, it's been a week and we have heard nothing. We are working on filing an insurance claim with Safe Ship which I also do not recommend. I hate leaving negative reviews but we paid over $10,000 for this move but when you cannot have a call returned or dates narrowed down, I had no choice. Their customer service was terrible. I would have rated them one star but the men who picked up our items were very careful & efficient. I also didn't like that the head of the crew at pick-up, when we gave them a tip, asked us to put down a smaller amount on the document, I'm assuming for tax purposes. Maybe Maria thinks we only gave them $100 and that's why we couldn't get any assistance? I have no idea.
