I reserved a 10x20 unit online through Yelp. Walked in to pay for the unit a few days later with my hubby while he was in town. Jason was manning the office. He was incredibly helpful. Showed us a couple of units. The unit was clean, the walls where solid and there is a light in the unit. It was a flash deal for 3 months at a lower rate. Not bad, but after that I might need a bigger unit, with my Colorado father in law moving back to Cali and he will be in need of storage space till we can get a new place to live. Jason was kind, courteous and full of info that we needed to know. He handed himself so well, I thought he might be an onsite mgr. He was not, but should be! He listened to our drama on why we need a storage and did not treat us unkindly or try to rush us off, he genuinely wanted to help and that meant the world to me! read more

Decent storage spot, unfortunately communication is actually not very good between the ground keep and customers. Felt pressured to leave a positive review, while the management had peered over my shoulder. Rewriting my review as I see fit. It also had looked as if someone attempted to gain access to my unit.... also was accused to prolonging my rental after 2 weeks of un responded phone calls and emails and they tried to argue with me and charge me for extra days. I had a terrible experience two years ago. The units in the building at extra space was broken into. Their cameras all of a sudden didn't work that night. All the units items were tossed into the hall by the thieves. Managers of the facility didn't allow for sufficient time for families to sort through items. They threw everything back into whatever units. My deceased husbands suits name brand were confiscated by the on-site manager. He finally gave them back when I said all I had left of my husband were those suits. He had them hidden in his office. They did nothing to show remorse for what happened. We lost everything that was important to us. The insurance only covers things of value to them. Not to you. Don't leave your stuff with them. read more

This business is unprofessional and unreliable. The storage space was first flooded and has rat in the unit. I asked for a relocation, and now the door is jammed. It has been 2 weeks and it is still not fit. When I asked the manager when is it going to get fix, his replied is "I don't know" I asked for other solutions, his response is, "I don't know." There's definitely rat around the premises and when I told them about it, they deny it and don't respond to it. Please think twice before you move in or sign a contract with them. read more

I stayed with Extra Space for 2.5 years and had such a great experience. That staff is so friendly and nothing of mine was robbed. I did get mice, but you should expect that in any storage unit you rent. I do wish, however that the staff was made more available not during business hours (as moss people move and need help during non working hours). Thanks so much for keeping my stuff safe! read more

Beware! There are thieves who rob your stuff!!! I came yesterday to pick up a box of collectible bobble heads. When I open my unit half of my things were gone! Mind you. No one absolutely no one knows I even have a storage unit. No one has a key to my unit. Not sure if the front office does. But I repeat. No one has absolutely no way of getting into my unit besides me! What is so upsetting is that the box of collectible bobble heads (that wasn't even mine to begin with) was stolen. Over $1k worth of bobble heads and over $1k worth of my valuables. What I'm so confused is to how they manage to get inside my unit. And the person working there couldn't help me because there are no cameras inside the buildings. There are only cameras outside. So they either unscrewed the door panels and then screwed it back up so they wouldn't have noticed or it was one of the office workers who helped themselves to my property. I hope insurance pays for my lost property because it's not like I have 1k laying around to give to the owner of the bobble heads. Install cameras inside the entrance of each building to protect people's property!!!! Now Im traumatizes. Of course they left the non valuables behind. Can't even store anything anymore definitely going to end my contract. This is very upsetting since the things that were taken was my form of income! read more

Just moved in today was pleasantly surprised at how clean it was how friendly the management staff were and the ease of the move in. Only thing I would add is no matter what sale price you get or web-based pricing you have to buy insurance which starts at 14 so just add that onto your monthly still overall a great deal highly recommend read more

Terrible security and surveillance. Now I see exceptional security on website and I laugh. My unit was broken into and my belonging stolen. I thought I was bias but then I asked about cameras...none indoors and cameras outside cannot get a clear image of license plates. HMMMMM. I asked today, the door to enter my unit building is unlocked all day. I assumed it was padlocked, but guess not. So basically anyone can walk into the hallways in the middle of the night with no cameras and not have to worry. The best part is office staff leaves at six and facility closes at 8. So no one is there to make sure everyone is gone and only a gate is there to protect open hallways with no cameras. Well, at least I know my burglars were able to calmly take my belongings during facility hours without being harassed by staff. I will be paying this month for a unit to protect left over items I could care less about. read more

This is an unusually large storage as the ceilings are approximately 12 feet tall in some of the units like I have. The location is tucked away from view due to the construction of sound walls on the 10 freeway. Stsff is helpful and there are multiple security cameras. This is probably the best kept secret for a storage place when it comes to overall value. read more
