My feelings are hurt!... I'm a new homeowner and needed to find someone to clean the gutters I can't reach even with a tall ladder. I found JB Window Works in Yelp and with all the positive reviews, gave Ben a call. He sounded very friendly on the phone and we scheduled a time to meet for an estimate and the cleaning. He didn't seem overly excited about gutter cleaning -- but then who would? So the day before he was to come out, he called and said he was sick and couldn't come. That was fine I said. Let's reschedule. We settled on the following Wednesday, an afternoon window of time (something like 2-5). I said I would work from home that afternoon so I could be there. He said that wasn't really necessary. I said it was fine, and besides, how else was I going to pay him? I was getting the feeling he was being a little evasive, but I ignored this in my excitement to finally have this done. So Wednesday came around and I worked from home. Didn't hear anything from Ben. At 5pm, I called and left a nice message asking if he was running late and still coming. He didn't call back. I waited another hour and called again - asking if something came up, and did we need to reschedule? (I'm SO nice and understanding. Maybe I'm a sucker.) He NEVER called me back. Nothing. No explanation, after canceling once then being a no-show. My house is a typical 3-bedroom size, with a standard roof. Nothing challenging for someone who does this for a living. So this can't be the reason. Ben, if you simply didn't want to do this job, why didn't you just tell me? That would have been the professional (and kind) thing to do. read more

Jared and Ben are the J and B in Window Works, and both guys are professional and polite. Despite living across town from us, Jared came out to our home and wrote up an estimate in person in less time than other companies took to email us back. Ben cleaned our disgustingly dirty storm windows (don't judge!) and I could swear that it's 50% brighter in here. He also power washed our exterior and roof, and did such an awesome job that the neighbors were asking for price quotes. FAST & FRIENDLY SERVICE! Our usual office window cleaner was booked out for over a month before they could get to us so I needed to get someone in sooner. Thanks to yelp I placed a call to JB Window Works. I spoke to Ben (the "B" in JB) and was told he'd drop by for an estimate. Expecting to hear back in a few days Ben was at our office within a few hours giving us a very reasonable price. A few days later Ben and Oscar cleaned our interior and exterior windows to our satisfaction. Estimate on Tuesday and work completed on Monday! As someone that deals with vendors on a weekly basis I appreciate how fast and friendly the services JB Window Works delivers. Thanks Ben! Yeah, I have to agree with Barb on this one. This was by far, the weirdest experience I have had. I called about getting our windows cleaned prior to our solar screen installation; Ben did not have good reception and lost the call in the middle of our conversation. I did not hear anything back from him. He called a few days later; and I returned his call. He sounded friendly, gave me an estimate and we scheduled an appointment, he even called me on his way over. He texted me while at the house asking about certain windows. Yet, when I got home not a single window was clean. I could find one window track that looks like someone may have cleaned it? So, he came to my house but then left? And then Ben just dropped off the planet.. never heard from him again. Very strange way of conducting business. I would look elsewhere. read more

We called JB Windows based on Yelp reviews after giving up on another local window company that didn't return our call after four days. Right off the bat, we liked JB because an actual human (Ben) answered the phone, instead of an answering machine. Ben is a military veteran and we are always glad to support vets. This is a good company that does a great job of cleaning. Very professional. By the way, he was perturbed about the only bad review JB got, posted by a woman nine months after they cleaned. They had apparently forgotten a section of her gutters, but went back right away once she called to tell them. He was puzzled as to why she would post a bad review at all, much less so many months later. Meanwhile, next we will hire them to clean our gutters, which were recently cleaned not very well by our yard guy. JB also hangs holiday lights. Support local businesses! read more

I purchased the gutter cleaning Groupon in November and called today to see if they could come out this weekend, even better, they came out today! Ben showed up and cleaned out the gutters; he was super polite and friendly. I believe that he went "above and beyond" the required cleaning because he ended up using my hose and spray nozzle to really get everything out of my front gutter. They recently cleaned our windows and did a great job. Just as importantly, the customer service was great. They were very helpful in scheduling and they followed up the day after to ensure we were pleased with the service. They can do indoor and outdoor cleaning and I would trust them in my house. They even have the capabilities to clean the really hard to reach stuff. I think they can do powers washing as well. I also felt comfortable with them because they are fully insured. No doubt about it, this is the BEST window cleaning service ever. After price-checking with 2 other companies, Ben at JB Window Works has come out to us in Hays County and cleaned the 50+ windows of our main and guest houses, inside and out, upstairs and down, since 2013. We've used them every 6 months or so since then, with today being our most recent date of service. As always, the result is perfection. So what does Ben do? First of all, he arrives on time, every time, and immediately sets to work. He carries only top quality, professional equipment --- which is pretty important if you don't want any ladder-scuffs nor bumps to mar your woodwork, walls, and flooring! --- while his neat handling of each window, screen, and French door is so meticulously done that we've yet to find a single misplaced streak nor spot of water left behind. Just . . . wow! Importantly, too, Ben is the sort of person you feel comfortable about having in your home. His polite manner and well-groomed appearance (military service!) are a nice addition to his attentive concern for his highly detailed work. Don't use this place for gutter cleaning. It is a rip-off and Ben was not at all conscientious.

Ben has cleaned our windows three times since 2009 and always done a stellar job. We have a large, odd house with a two story living room with clerestory windows, a sloping lot (so he's on a ladder a lot) and lots of dirt (windy area). We are grateful to have found Ben. read more

SPARKLING WINDOWS!!!! I had JB Window Works clean the inside and outside of my home's windows. They did a terrific job! The technician was very courteous and introduced himself upon arrival. He gave me a good description of what he was going to do and provided me with the price before he started working. As part of the service, he even cleaned the window sills and killed a few wasp nests he found near the roof line.
