I hired M&R Seamless Rain Gutters over the summer to fix a pitched gutter that was spilling water over the top instead of flowing down the downspout. After a few rainy days, I realized the pitch was not fixed and a massive amount of water was pooling on the ground from the gutter sagging. I called to reschedule the crew and they no-showed. This was September 6th and I've been calling back ever since then to try and reschedule AGAIN but with the lack of response, at this point, I just want a refund. The few times I've talked to someone she said "my manger will call you back. She's not here now." Over a month later and multiple phone calls, I'm still waiting on that call back. I paid over $500 for this job and it's been a complete waste of money at this point. A really good value, if you can get through the quoting process. I've put off getting gutters for years now, and the North side of our house has started showing signs of erosion. I requested quotes from multiple companies through Yelp. The two busiest companies never even bothered to send an estimator. I had the M&R estimator come out Friday, he told me I would have a quote Saturday morning. The weekend passes, and I only received the quote on Monday after I called them directly. Even then they said I would get it by end of business, and sure enough, they sent it out at 5pm (after calling me back and asking me for my email address, though I provided it during the initial web form and to the estimator?). M&R was by far the cheapest, and they had the best availability, so they were a shoe in. Fortunately the installation process went smoothly. They arrived on time and had the entire job finished in under 3 hours, including some minor soffit repairs. This group is great. I had some minor issues coordinating with the office due to the amount of business they were getting (responsiveness), but it all worked out. They were very great at working me in and could do it about 2-3 weeks out which is pretty good considering all contractors are backed up. The quality of the work was great. They came in and laid out the amount of gutter I'd need and ensured the color matched my trim. We also walked around the house to check downpours weren't being placed by sprinkler heads. A neighbor recommended them. We called to take care of issues with our gutters on a recently-built home. They were easily overwhelmed in several places, creating waterfalls when the rain was more than light rain. They found and corrected issues with screws that were much too small to properly support the gutters. The re-sloped the gutters to run the correct direction, replaced a sloppily installed gutter that was spliced because it was cut too short, added a downspout and enlarged another downspout. There were several leaking corners that were rotting our fascia boards, which they sealed. They did not try to upsell, saying they could take care of our issues without putting in new gutters, except for the one run that was pointed out and obviously bad. Out of all the things that needed to be fixed or installed as a new home owner, never did I imagine that gutters would be one that was the hardest to manage. I had a small job, to install gutters on our 10' x 10' back porch, which needed about 40' of materials total. I called almost a dozen companies around Austin. The bigger names usually required a minimum of around $800 and the smaller names are harder to deal with due to inconsistent communication. Without getting into too much details, M&R had by far the best estimate out of everyone that I've contacted. The next lowest bid was 33% more expensive. Also, their quote was for the 6" aluminum gutters, instead of the cheaper 5" vinyl gutters that some companies were offering. But most importantly, they respected me just like a normal customer, even though I had a small job. Since they are a small company, it took them almost 2 weeks schedule for an appointment. But when they did come, the job was done on time, smoothly, and exactly as quoted. And now after 2 years (yes this review is extremely delayed), the gutters are still functioning perfectly. The gutters are fine, I mean they're gutters. But the service and communication when you call or email them is really terrible. It takes days or a week for them to respond to an email. The supervisor is never in the office (apparently no one answering the phone can make any decisions or revise a quote) and they say they'll call you back but they never do. Well, I never got to use this company because they pulled a bait and switch on the estimate.
