Called the business owner (gray hair with glasses) asking for a price to taylor 3 pairs of jeans. I was told to come into the store for a "discount" price, only to have him charge me three times the amount I have paid at another tailoring shop. This place is awesome! I needed alterations for my wedding dress for my wedding in September, and the fitting was quick and easy. My dress was pretty detailed and required several layers removed for the alterations, but the shop returned my dress in half the time originally agreed upon and it fit PERFECTLY. The final price was also much less than what I was quoted at other bridal alteration establishments. Get your alterations done here! read more

I NEVER write Yelp reviews (this is my first one) but I cannot recommend this place highly enough. After reading some of the bad reviews about this place I was hesitant to take my clothing there. However, I have had nothing but great experiences. I've taken pants, skirts, and a jacket there to have them altered. Every time I've had quick results, and my clothes have always been perfect. The prices are extremely reasonable. I picked up a pair of pants today after having the waist taken in. I was charged $14, and some places will charge $20+. The owner is pleasant and helpful. I had some shirts tapered here because I am an athletic build and shirts that fit my shoulders are billowy at the waist. He pinned in the sides substantially, but when I picked the shirts up a week later they had hardly made any alterations at all - a complete waste of money. I've been on Yelp for a long time but I've never written reviews, however this guy made me feel like I HAD to write a review to warn everyone else! I was referred to this place by my girlfriend so I brought a full suit + another blazer to get them fitted. At first the guy seemed very polite and was quick about everything which was good. I drop off my stuff, get the stub and leave. I didn't even notice the price on the stub until I got home but he was going to charge 146$ JUST FOR SMALL ALTERATIONS!! I simply had the sleeves shortened a bit, the back tucked on the blazers and the slacks trimmed and tightened a little bit. My girlfriend thought it was very expensive for what was being done so she decided to call on her phone and pretend to be a new customer. She asked how much it would cost for her 1 of her fiance's suits, getting the same work done that I was getting. He said 47$!!!! Not only that but he was also had a very smug attitude with my girl over the phone so it seems like other reviews about him having a pride issue is true. Anyways, I call on my own phone 10 minutes later and tell him that it is too expensive and I don't have the cash so I wondered if I could just get 1 blazer taken care of and just get my full suit back. He began to give me an attitude and argue saying he's already started working on all of my stuff (This was seriously only 30 minutes after I left) and was being a complete A-HOLE over the phone. I brushed it off and asked how much 1 blazer would cost. He replied with 53$!!! So I said that's just too much for such small alterations and he said "oh my god! you know what, I don't have time for this. Pick your suits up tomorrow - CLICK"... HE JUST HUNG UP ON ME. Now I've served 5 years in the United States Marine Corps and I've had all of my uniforms tailored multiple times. Never have I EVER come across a tailor that is such a CROOK and shows such DISRESPECT. I immediately said F that and drove to pick up my suits immediately. When I show up, he tries to put on a nice guy act saying that normal stores would charge me 20-25$ just for putting the needles in and checking what should be altered but that he'll be nice to me because I'm young and I don't know any better...... -_-!!!! Warning to everybody. DO NOT GO TO THIS GUY. If you INSIST on going to him, CALL AHEAD and get a quote on the work you want to be done. DO NOT just go in and attempt to get the quote then and there. On top of everything, he removed the needles in front of my face and did NOTHING to my suits so he not only lied about his prices, but also about him already doing work on my suits. I have gone to this Tailor for many years and at the previous location as well. I have had many things altered here........from my daughters wedding party.......hems.........alterations. Anytime a friend or family member mentions they need alterations I refer them to Express Tailoring. I have never been unhappy with the work they do. If I didn't live almost 40 min. away I would take my cleaning to them as well. read more

This guy is doesn't seem to make it all about the customers, I happened to step in for my first time a couple of days ago and he was very pushy to get me to accept the fact that "its the toughest job out there.." Really tried to persuade me to give him money, so instead I slowly took the pins off my coat and told him Loma Linda tailor is better and better price, and just walked out and took my stuff. This place isn't worth it at all, cordova's tailor in San Bernardino I heard has a 5 star rating and I still prefer Loma Linda. This guy is rude and really tries to dig into your pocket. read more

Prior to coming in I read all the earlier reviews about the proprietor being rude and having no social skills. But since I'm coming here for tailoring and not a new best friend, I decided to try it out. I braced myself for terrible customer service when I walked in the door...and was really pleasantly surprised. Are we talking about the same guy? Ted was extremely polite, courteous, and professional. So far I've taken a dress, skirt, and my husband's suit pants in for alterations, and everything has come back fitting like a glove. I got my suit for my wedding altered here I had a good amount of work to do. I got my sides taken in on my coat and vest pants tapered and also hemmed (spell check). I have been coming to this place for about 4 years. I bring all my tailoring work here from casual dresses to be taken in to wedding dresses to be shortened. His work is flawless. I am an insanely picky person and my husband would say I am a difficult client. However, Ted ALWAYS delivers and I have not had a problem with any of his work. His prices are fair too. I have never been cheated or shocked by the quote. It's consistent, and I appreciate the honesty from him. I am leaving the area in a year, and it'll definitely be hard to find someone as good as him in the new city. I believe you can use your credit card without a fee if it's over $20, otherwise there's a service charge. I suggest bringing cash to make it easier. read more

I needed a pair of jeans hemmed FAST and called Express Tailoring to see if they could do a same afternoon alteration. The owner said yes, so I drove over. This was my first visit so I was not a regular customer. I tried on my new jeans, got measured up and was told to come back in an hour. They actually got it done in less time. I was amazed! Ruined my $220 dress. I brought in a bridesmaid dress that needed to be altered, and i needed it the very next day. The blonde woman that helped me wasnt the most friendly, but it didnt matter to me as long as the dress was dealt with and altered correctly...yea. It was altered to fit my upper body well, but something they did caused a huge bulge of fabric to gather around the midsection. Us ladies LOVE having our stomachs look larger than they are, right? There was no fixing it in time : / i had to go out and buy a $30 quick fix dress for a wedding which i was a bridesmaid in (which i actually liked a lol better than the $65 disaster i paid for from express tailor). Id recommend not using this place, or just insist on being very very very very thorough in the fitting process. read more

Had to have a bridesmaid dress altered after a pregnancy. It was very last minute due to baby being born right before the wedding and they did an amazing job in the short amount of time that they had. You couldn't even tell it was altered! I brought my bridesmaid dress in to be hemmed, he did a quality job with the difficult fabric but it was quite expensive (I don't think I knew how much until I came to pick it up- $50 plus the apparent surcharge for card I wasn't warned about) and when he measured me (after being mildly irritated that I didn't bring the shoes I was going to wear) he only pinned it in the front, so when I picked it up and tried it on at home it was still too long in the back and I ended up wearing 3-4" heels anyway. read more

I brought in 6 pairs of pants/jeans to have them hemmed and tapered and the result was top notch! The quality of craftsmanship and the detail is amazing. These pants/jeans were hanging in my closet for quite some time due to them being a cut I did not desire. I told the gentleman that I wanted a hem on 3 pairs and a tapered fit on the last three. I did not need to try them on because I already had a pair that for fit the way I liked. he marked them and said they'll be done in 3 days. I cannot recommend this place highly enough. I've had jeans altered here and they were perfectly done. Also, my husband got a new job which required a professional wardrobe. On Friday I took in 13 shirts, 6 pair of slacks and a coat all to be pressed and needed them done by Monday. I picked them up Saturday at 10 am and was more than happy with the work. The owner is very quick and efficient at checking all the details needed for the job, and pinned everything up in moments. The work was done within a few weeks (and it was a LOT of alterations with a lot of fancy beadwork to work around). I was a little nervous about getting the dress back just a few days before my wedding and not having tried it on in the meantime at all, but the fit was PERFECT and you can't even tell it's been altered.
