Amazed by this place! On about a weeks worth of notice I realized the dress for my engagement was no longer fitting and I needed to have it taken out. I was so happy to hear they could do it, but when I came in the owner told me I didn't need to have it taken out, it zipped up fine and showed me a trick to zip it. I was so thankful and appreciative for the honesty. She did suggest reinforcing with a stronger hook and eye on the back which I happily did, and the dress was done in just a few days- ready for our photo shoot :) I absolutely will be returning to this place for any tailoring needs and highly recommend them! read more

I was speaking at my mother's funeral, and needed the only black suit trousers I owned to be radically taken in, having lost significant weight since that suit had been purchased 5 years ago. On just two days notice, the proprietors worked quickly to make the necessary alterations and have the trousers ready in time. And I was only charged $20.00 for the necessary tailoring, to boot. I consider this to be exemplary customer service and kindness, and will not hesitate to return here for any tailoring alterations or wardrobe repairs I may need in the future. read more

I know there are a lot of positive reviews here, but I think there are quite a few that are actually meant for Express Tailoring, not Needle Express. Express Tailoring is on Redlands Blvd., whereas this one is located on 6th. The reason I said that is because I saw all of these positive reviews on the prices being reasonable and I have found the COMPLETE OPPOSITE with this place! I needed alterations to a bridesmaid dress. Unfortunately my dress was a bit tight and needed extra material. The woman there quoted me $65 because of all of the work. Needless to say, I ended up getting a different dress to avoid having to pay that much in alterations. But the new dress also needed alterations, but this time only to be shortened. Guess how much it was going to cost? Yup, $65. Seriously??? To shorten the dress??? I smell something fishy. I headed over to Express Tailoring and it was only going to cost $35. I'll head there instead. Oh the two stars is because when I did need work done, they were willing to work to get me the dress in time. read more

It's long overdue that I write a review for Needle Express!! I trusted them with my wedding dress tailoring and they did SUCH an amazing job. They took time to listen to my concerns, be realistic, and go the extra mile to make sure I was happy. Today I brought in a different dress (this time the a guest for a wedding!) and talked about what I was wanting to alter on the dress. The owner was honest with me and shared that what I was wanting would be difficult because of the seaming of the dress. She told me that she could try what I wanted, but that it probably wouldn't turn out how I envisioned and that she wanted to save me money. I needed a zipper added to my dress since it was impossible to take it off without worrying that I was gonna rip it... I already had gotten turned down from a different tailor earlier that day, but the wonderful couple took a look at the dress and gave me options as to how they can add the zipper. One week later, BAAM there was a side zipper perfectly placed and they also shortened the straps for me. Definitely would revisit them again for any of my alteration needs. read more

Hi brought in two suits, both need it many alterations to make them fit. Yes it is pricey, however, there was a lot of work to be done. Came by to pick them up, one suit, which was much older and needed to be re-cut to modernize it. The older suit jacket needed the length to be shorten, the pant were very baggy and required for the legs to be tapered, the seat to be changed, and the crotch to be brought up to look normal, like I said, a lot of work worth the price I paid. It gave a whole new life to an old suit. The newer suit still needed some alterations, and they were able to keep it and address the new alterations for no charge. They do great work, can't even tell they did anything to the jackets from the inside, but definitely fit better now than they did before. The pants also fit great with all the alterations that they made. I do a lot of sewing as a hobby, I do hem my pants and take in my shirts, but nothing like what they do here, trust me what they do is a lot of work and they do it well. Again, highly recommend their work, well worth the price that they charge, these people are friendly and very receptive to your request. read more

This little place is a diamond in the rough. If you're not careful, you could miss it. However, they recently began putting a sign out on the sidewalk so you don't miss them. They have done a wonderful job for me on multiple items of clothing. I took in a pair of my boyfriend's jeans that wear completely shredded in the crotch area. They were able to repair them in a matter of days! Of course I had to pay an rush service fee which was only $5, but they did great! You can't even tell there was a big hole in the crotch! I recently took in a pair of my Rock&Republic jeans to be hemmed and they did an excellent job once again. I'm waiting to see how well they do on a pair of jeans I've had for over 10 years. I do not want to get rid of them because they were discontinued and they are MY FAVORITE PAIR OF JEANS! I pick them up tomorrow, but I'm positive they did an excellent job. I'm not sure where this couple is from, but they are definitely European. They are the cutest couple and they do impeccable work. I've received disappointing service on more than one occasion. The owner once even lied to me about the material of a tie he sold me.
