Just dropped off a dress to have tailored. I'll complete my review once I pick it up, but just dropping it off deserved 4 stars. I brought in my dress that had an X across the back as a design, but the X was really tight on my back. I wasn't sure if they'd be able to extend/move it because of the fabric it was made out of, but the owner looked at it for a bit and had an idea, then called his wife over to take a look. She had a great idea of extending it with another fabric and hiding it under the fabric on the shoulders of the dress. These two make a great team and I'm really happy that they were able to figure out a way to make this dress work for me. Can't wait to pick it up Thursday and wear it to a wedding Friday! read more

As I frantically was looking for a tailor to seam a dress for my pinning ceremony which I had to leave town for around 2. I picked up the dress from my dry cleaning around 11 (which could not do the seam because they send their items out) I found this place and took it in. They were extremely nice, did an amazing job. They were able to do what I needed same day and for not that much. I am extremely grateful for what they did. Also their tux's look top quality. Took 4 curtains to be hemmed. Paid over $120. Took a week to complete but that was fine. Not in a rush. Worst hem I have ever seen and paid an arm and a leg. All 4 are uneven and not to the length we specified. Embarrassed to hang them in my house but spent so much I want to get some use out of them. read more

This place exceeded all expectations I had! Went in here to have my husbands football jersey altered- but needed to have it done in 3 days or less. The gentlemen (who I think is the owner) was honest, and said he would try his best to have it done in time. My hubby & I were leaving for Chicago & needed the jersey before we left & needle express had it done on time.... I was the one running late! I spaced out and didn't realize how late it was & the owner told me he would stay late for me to come pick up the jersey! How nice was that? david and filya are professional and efficient. experience #1 my husband took his suit for alterations. it was a volcom suit, not a normal tuxedo. his suit had an asymmetric line that made us think it would be difficult to alter, but they did a fantastic job. he looked great for the wedding! experience #2 i wanted my wedding dress shortened into a formal gown to wear in the future. my dress was a $5000 designer dress with crystals along the neckline that had to be removed and then replaced after cleaning. needle express referred me to an excellent cleaner who got the frosting and other stains out (i wore the dress all night) then they took the dress back and finished. so basically, they couriered my dress to the cleaners and back and fixed it so i can wear it again. beautiful! experience #3 now i am the "matron of honor" for my sister's wedding. the bridesmaid dress designer (who is no amy michelson) completely botched the sizing based on our measurements. i pulled my dress out and david saw the size (10), looked me up and down and said, "this is too big". he was quite right. the dress was falling off of me. it is now 2 weeks from the wedding and this was supposedly a "custom-order", so there is no time to get a new dress that is 4 sizes smaller. david said he could take it in, and he stayed late to pin. he is soft-spoken, to the point, and an excellent tailor as judged from my previous experience. i would not want to be in my current situation with any other shop but needle express - i am confident that this hideous pink and green bridesmaid dress will look as good as humanly possible when they are done. **epilogue: dress looked amazing, my sister was very pleased and i got tons of compliments. i still love needle express beyond measure. long review, but i wanted to point out that needle express did a great job with some important formal wear items, in addition to the excellent reviews already present for their jeans and more day-to-day alteration needs. read more

Needle Express effectively adjusted sleeves to a new men's polyester vintage jacket--from the shoulder! It was my first job given to them; not easy. Besides doing a great job--two crucial points stuck out for me--the owner's ethics that I initially tested and observed before agreeing to leave garment; also the price ($20 less then competitor Express Tailor, Redlands for same job). I've been coming to Needle Express for years, even when they were at their old location in downtown Redlands. I've only had pants (maybe 15 pairs?) hemmed here but the owner has always been friendly, the pants are always ready when promised and the work is perfect. I like this location so much better, I can actually find parking! At the downtown location I parked in the Wells Fargo parking lot and had to let their security guard I was just running in the tailor's. read more

This place is a gem, and David and Filya are just the nicest people. Very honest as well. I've been utilizing their services for almost 5 or 6 years now, and I've never been disappointed. Examples of things I had done were jeans hemmed with the original hem (and it looks like it was never hemmed!), suit jackets trimmed and slimmed, sleeves lengthened and tapered, pants slimmed/tapered, I've also had David change a peak lapel into a notched lapel and it looks like nothing had ever been done to it! Very impressive work. I've been to a few other tailors in the area, but really none compare to the quality that David and Filya produce. Prices are fair. Maybe a litlte steeper than I would hope for. But you get what you paid for, and like I said - I've never been disappointed. Truly a local business. They've been around for quite some time. Support local businesses! read more

I took my 2 suits to get altered. I had lost some weight and I wanted my suits to look more slim fit. I also took a pair of jeans to get hemmed. They by far exceeded my expectations once I picked my clothes up. The suits look amazing and you can't even tell the jeans were hemmed. Horrible experience. My friend is getting married in 2 weeks and just received her dress and unfortunately it does need to be hemmed and taken in. We heard this was one of the best in town. We went there today and when we asked for material to be added for modesty the owner had the audacity to tell us "man made rules, Jesus didn't say that" ... I'm sorry, I don't need your opinion on my beliefs, I just need your "professional" work done on the dress. We aren't paying them for their opinion on people's religious beliefs, we are paying them to do what their business does, which is hem, sew, etc. She said this not only once, but twice and made several other comments and facial expressions. Again, your opinion on my beliefs should be kept to yourself while in your place of business. Either tell me you can help me and keep your opinion to yourself or tell me no and tell your husband how you disagree with my views after I left. Needless to say, we are taking our business elsewhere!! read more

I bought my wedding dress in January but my wedding wasn't until the first weekend in November, between me buying my dress and the beginning of October I had lost 18 pounds! But my dress no longer fit me! I brought my dress in here, in a panic and they were able to fix it for me and they did an incredible job! I took a very expensive leather vest for a simple collar removal . And the owner took out the shoulder seam and ruined my vest. When I asked them to fix it. His reply to me was that he did not do the damage.That I had done the damage. When I asked him again to fix it his wife asked me for my ticket . Please be careful so that they don't rip you off. I had a top which was big for me and I took it here for the first time. They charged me $50 for something other places have done for $10. I had a very expensive garment , tailored there; and they undid seams and were not willing to repair it or take responsibility. I will never recommend nor do any business.
