Getting there: Located next door to the Fox Theater in DT Redlands. There is a parking garage across the street from the Vault, but also there is street parking in front. Experience: A good friend of mine bought some shorts here and hers didn't fit anymore so we came here so she could find another pair. The woman that owns this shop goes to wholesale shops and other thrift stores for good jeans and she cleans then up or cuts them into shorts. Also, if you see a pair of jeans that fit you she can cut them into shorts for you. She was super willing to help find a size that fit me, she was also very personable. I definitely am going to try and buy all my jeans/shorts here from now on. read more

Vintage stores somehow come off like 'stinky' museums. This store comes off as a new denim boutique. Maryanne has fixed that second hand humdrum with stylish destination. The Fox Theater has become a definite get off the highway DESTINATION. Amazing pizza at BRICKS AND BIRCH -- OR -- home-cooked WOW Mexican food at INES TAMALES. I hate writing this because I do often find good jeans in here. However the past 3-4 times I've come here, they aren't open on time. The hours say they open at 11:00, and I'll wait around for 30 minutes and still no one is there. This has happened multiple times and it's super frustrating. I literally dream of owning a store like this one day. Like how fucking cute? Found a pair of orange tab Levi's that were literally made for me. I will take them in and make them straight leg. All their jeans still have so much life left in them. I have been to many vintage stores were the jeans are so thin and full of holes you know they will only last you a few months. Rust Vintage Denim in Temecula, Ca : Great store however if you want to shop here check all social media sites to make sure they are open. Three different times now I have gone just for the soul purpose of shopping at this store and 3 times they were opening late, decided not to open that day. Even if their website states they will be open. It is frustrating and now I have found the items I want online not their website. So I will purchase my things elsewhere. Oh and not this business has no business phone number, the number on the website, if you can find the number, is the owners call number. So if you are trying to call to see if they will be opening you may or may not get your call answered. Which has happened and I received a call back after the fact to tell me the store was opening late. No consistency on hours have been my experience. read more

I found this store on instagram and when I came in I wasn't too impressed. They had a lot of Levi's and Lee shorts for 20$ but none in sizes smaller than an 8. The jewelry and belts were nice. The tops were limited, nothing really worth buying if you're under the age of 35. Maybe I came at an awkward time, but I also got a judgmental vibe from the employees. There were maybe 5-6 people sitting in a circle talking when I was shopping around. I really don't mind that but when nobody acknowledged me or offered to help me, and I felt like I couldn't fully look through the store since the circle was blocking about a third of the room, it seemed like I was intruding on a group of girls instead of shopping in a store. Also, I had to interrupt the circle to ask to use the dressing room and got plenty of stares and an answer from someone who apparently didn't even work there. i hesitate to write a negative review of a small business at which i do shop, however, enough negative experiences have accumulated. i write as someone with 8 years experience managing and running a successful small business. i understand the intricacies and complications of being involved in local retail. i find that Rust struggles with personnel being sufficiently interested in and engaged with truly assisting and connecting with customers. they're not necessarily rude, but inattentive and focused on other things, often prioritizing friends. one of the perks of being involved in a small business is the ability and flexibility to have friends visit and perhaps shop, but that can't be the goal. to secure customers, priorities need to shift. the treatment i receive in this shop unfortunately makes me not want to spend time and money there, especially when there's a much more welcoming and inviting vintage shop a few doors down. i would never have allowed my employees at my shop to treat customers so coldly. it appears that Rust secures a successful business despite their current model, but i have to note that their employees make for at best an uncomfortable shopping experience. i wish this shop had a different focus and cared more about creating an inviting environment, but alas, we all have different priorities. read more
