There are many other amazing antique stores just down the street that are worth visiting instead. The owner here can be quite rude and seems to have little patience or respect for people who disagree with her or cause even small inconveniences. When we first purchased an item, she was very nice and even offered to let us come back another time to pick it up since her hours didn't quite work for us. That was very kind and we appreciated the flexibility. Unfortunately, when it came time to actually pick up the item, her attitude completely changed. She became extremely rude and essentially berated me, my dad, and my husband. To this day, I'm not entirely sure why she was so upset with us since we had both agreed on a pickup time. However, the messages she sent afterward made it clear that she had little respect or basic courtesy toward us. I've worked in customer service before, so I understand that customers can sometimes be frustrating. If she was upset about something we did, I can understand feeling frustrated. However, speaking to customers the way she did is something I would never do. The store may have some interesting items, but I would much rather spend my money supporting businesses that treat their customers with respect.

I got super excited and drove out that weekend to check it out. She was surprised to see me so soon, But I told her I couldn't wait. She had gotten me the exact style I was looking for! We arrived at 630pm…read more I believe the store was closed but Kathie was more than obliging to let us come in and look around. From the outside, the store looks like a typical furniture outlet. Inside there are rare gems to find. Kathie let us know if we didn't find what we were looking for she could have something custom ordered. Lucky for us we found a few items already there. We had been in search for a jute rug. At pottery barn, the typical jute 8 × 10 runs for a little more than a thousand dollars. We found a beautiful jute rug with orange rust accent threading to match our couches for far less than what is priced at pottery barn and the quality of rug was not sacrificed. We also bought some artwork from them. A pretty large piece for a very reasonable price. I attached all the pictures. Favorite little touch: they sell small products like lotions and candies that are made locally and are organic Thank you Kathie for your hospitality and we will be popping in to add more pieces to our home.

Laura did not disappoint. We now have a gorgeous kitchen that functions better and that we are proud to show off to friends and family. Every element goes together beautifully; the granite counters are gorgeous, the modern sink and faucet are a joy to use, the painted cabinets look like new and we wonder why we didn't utilize hardware on the cabinets long ago. The backsplash is beautiful and sparkly. The old-fashioned florescent ceiling is replaced by modern can lights. Creative battery operated under-cabinet lighting is budget friendly. The artistic pendant light matches well with the hardware and new appliances. All the craftsman Laura contracted with did a great job and the one issue we had related to the granite was resolved to our satisfaction. She was there to oversee the work during all stages. We even trusted her to run everything while we took a 2 week vacation. That actually is a great way to do it. Pre-plan everything with Laura and go on an extended vacation. Ask Laura about how that could work. It may work out perfectly and your remodel is complete when you return. Even if it takes longer, at least it's less time you've had to live through a remodel. It did not take long to see that Laura really listened to what I wanted so she could design a house I would love. Initially, I had trouble releasing control but that never bothered Laura. She worked with me and made sure I was comfortable through the whole project. Looking back, I wished I had taken advantages of all of her amazing ideas and suggestions instead of holding back due to my own fears. Since working with her on that house, Laura has worked on 3 other homes for me and I cannot imagine designing or decorating another house without her in my corner. She is one of the best in the industry. She has a natural eye for design, an extremely workable personality and the ability to professionally design per your specification and desires without imposing her likes and dislikes on your project. Christmas decor galore!…read more I went into Kirkland's for the first time while shopping and I'm so glad I went to check it out. Once I was inside, all I could think about was, "Why didn't I come here sooner?" Not only did they have a lot of cozy Christmas decor but they also had some everyday items. From home and kitchen decor, and even stuff for your bedroom(s) and bathroom(s). They even sold furniture and lighting fixtures. But I'd say more than half of the store was Christmas-related. Think: Pier 1 Imports. The workers were all busy but helpful. A young man helped me look at something from one of the top shelves. Overall, I came out with more stuff than I needed - at a fraction of the cost! I'll be back again to check out more everyday items after the holidays. There are so many other options out there, I definitely don' t recommend doing business with them. I am not a fan of bashing others but this is our story in a nut shell... It took twice as long as promised, and not once did she apologize or even acknowledge their tardiness. At one point I couldn't get in touch for 3 weeks, and had no idea if we were going to get our money back or what was happening. Then, like nothing happened she finally replied and was ready for install... hmmm. Ok so, whatever they are super late and have brutal communication skills... let's move past that and just get it installed!! Well that was a giant bummer to come home to.. Items installed things incorrectly, and incomplete, and not as discussed. I had to literally uninstall and reinstall a shelf. Then she has the nerve to bill for the full amount... still ever once apologizing even after I told her of all the mistakes. It's too bad because the quality of the work was actually pretty good, just hope no one has to go through that.
